NATSU-MON 20th Century Summer Kid, a charming Japanese adventure. Part 2 of the DEMO
Here I play the 2nd part of demo of NATSU-MON 20th Century Summer Kid.
You can hear how surprised I was when the demo ended so soon and asked me to go to the Nintendo e-shop to purchase the full title! But I thought I would upload this short experience anyway so at least you all know where the demo ends.
Even though I promised myself to stop buying games for a while, I really think I'll jump into this one, it is so intriguing and the atmosphere is lovely.
Let me know what you think? Fancy picking this one up? Thanks for watching!

How two use your OG GameCube controller on your Nintendo Switch!

Many have been using this method to play SmashBros already on Switch, and it just involves picking up the 8Bitdo G Bros. Trinity Fusion on Nintendo Switch - a Metroid Prime and Prince of Persia Contender?

Trinity Fusion published by Angry Mob Games just launched on the Nintendo Switch eshop and we wasted no time in downloading the demo and diving in. It's a Metroidvania cross rogue-lite platform fighting exploration game, much in the same vein as M...

You can watch my first play of Endless Ocean Luminous on Nintendo Switch which I played on launch day here: ua-cam.com/video/UM-0-0uN-i8/v-deo.html To be honest, I found it a little uninspirational and felt a little flat afterwards, as the opening tutorial was very basic and didn't have any 'magic' to speak of. it's that balance now between playing on the OG hardware for a retro game - or a version for example of the Switch N64/ GBA app. Nostalgia can certainly makes some games seem better than you remembered - but playing on a proper CRT monitor can make a big difference too. I started using my PSP again to play a monkey ball game - and that still looks amazing! But playing some of these C64 games wasn't much fun. And there are literally 1000's to play aren't there? And with limited time available to play sometimes, what's the best place to spend your time! Don't think I have answered your question but had a good ramble! Thanks for your comment and keep in touch. Sparky

    • @thenintendohub3873
      @thenintendohub3873 26 днів тому

      Basically, yes, esp when you look at the summary description of Bono no Natsuyasume (it literally could be this game aspart from the age of the child): "The game follows the summer vacation of Boku, a city-dwelling nine-year-old boy who in August 1975 is sent to stay with his extended family in the Japanese countryside for a month. Gameplay takes place in an open-ended environment where the player is free to determine how Boku spends the thirty-one in-game days of his summer vacation, with few set goals or specific obligations of gameplay progression."

    Hi Nintendo Hub! Great video showcasing this TV, I actually just got one off of Ebay myself. Perhaps you can help me... My TV just arrived today and it works great and looks identical to yours! However, I noticed I am missing a few buttons that you have, such as the TV/DVD/AV one. And that is where my problem lies. I have the TV set up to my computer with an HDMI to AV converter, and my PC recognizes it as a monitor. However, I don't have the remote and the TV seems to be stuck in the coaxial input, resulting in a blue screen. Everything would be fine if I could switch the TV to the composite input, however, nothing I do seems to work. The menu is quite limited, and I can only change the broadcast channels, rather than the inputs. Don't really know what to do here, any help would be truly appreciated, thanks! Edit: also the tv code is C1310atv

      Hi there, thanks for your kind words on the video and great to hear you picked one up! I just took a look at mine and took a picture of the input buttons under the front 'hood' that lifts up. On the far left left of the inputs I have (from left to right) TV/AV/DVD - MENU - VOLUME (1 and plus) - CHANNEL (minus and plus) - PLAY - STOP- EJECT - POWER. What do you have on the far left? I don't think you can change the input from the menu itself. Let me know.

      @trehnd 4 місяці тому

      I appreciate the reply! Its almost a week later now and I did a little digging and found its impossible to change the input without a remote (like you said). I found a store on amazon called Redi Remotes and they were selling a custom universal remote for a Disney C1310ATV! And it works perfectly. Also wanted to note there seems to be 2 versions of this TV in circulation. Yours appears to have a DVD tray along with a few extra buttons, but of which mine is lacking. Along with the spoiler, and lightning McQueen UI features (like the eyes on screen). Anyways, appreciate you taking the time to get back to me, excited to continue to CRT journey. @@thenintendohub3873

    The newer firmware and the 64 Maxi Tool saved this device. Not enough classic games on the carousel from the factory firmware. And the original joystick should have got the boot for the amiga gamepad out the box, or better gamepad support overall in the firmware, out of the box.

    It's not a perfect replacement for the original machine. But for nostalgia's sake, it is good enough. Sadly, that exclusive controller it comes with is complete rubbish. It does not feel good to use. Nor is the build quality up to the task of enduring any real hard gaming sessions. I've actually done a tutorial video on how to DIY upgrade it into a stiffer stick that won't snap at the weakest point. But that's like turning a one star rated product into a one-point-one star. Thankfully, the emulation permits for some options, which I highly recommend. Like some of these USB plug in S-NES styled controllers. Just like upgrading an Atari 2600 controller with a Sega Genesis pad. And a USB keyboard. Because, let us face the facts, that virtual screen keyboard is a clunky round-a-bout solution from day one. You can also get a USB memory stick put into the works to add more games. Now with my experience, I had to order one preloaded with everything from E-Bay, as the format used was just not within my PC's standard capacity. With all of these USB devices, you need a powered USB hub to plug it all into. As you really do need that stupid copycat joystick for its interface button set. It also helps to get the OS update, so that new features like multi-disk support are in place. At the end of the day, you are getting an OK emulation box inside a nostalgic case with plenty of upgrade potential. I hear the sequel, the Maxi came with more horsepower and a functional keyboard. But those came out when the world fell apart. Which made finding one in America harder then finding a bar of gold while walking about the neighborhood. On another note, I tried out that Basic interface a couple times and tried typing in some Sprite manipulation program. The emulation proved itself by outright crashing upon trying to run the little program. So, for serious C-64 users, there are far better options. But this isn't too bad for the price tag... once you get away from that poorly made stick.

      That's really interesting and thanks for taking such time to comment with some really interesting opinions. What shame about the issues with programming basic, that shouldn't happen. I had a lot of fun drawing sprites onto a grid back in the day and trying to reproduce them with basic. With a decent joystick, as you say you're getting s good enough experience, take care, Sparky
