Luffy and Zoro are the same. Here’s Why…
What it means to have a dream and the implications of them is an instrumental part of One Piece. Today I’m taking a deep dive into how Oda explores this through his series and how this is in fact the foundation that Luffy and Zoro’s iconic relationship is built on. Stick around to the end. I’m sure you won’t regret it ;)

A lot has been made of Gon Freecs’ morality, as a result of Togashi deviating from the standard Shonen protagonist blueprint. Yeah, Kurapika is a menace.
Переглядів 32 тис.2 роки тому
In this video, I did a deep dive character analysis of Kurapika, specifically in relation to the Yorknew City arc. All fans of Hunter x Hunter know that Kurapika took the spotlight and demonstrated his sharp intellect and resolve. Many of the strategies he used during the arc, can be found as principles in the age old book, the Art of War by Sun Tzu, so I drew on many parallels between the book...

what you need to know if you’re struggling with money

The Psychology of Money is an insightful book, that looks at the topic of money and personal finance as an extension of other aspects of people’s lives, rather than as a lone topic. The book highlights that any financial decision made is indicative of a person’s world view’s and experiences and therefore is more complicated than it seems. The author explains that every ‘bad decision’ is not the...

Gon is pure. Good hunters are liked by animals, that's most likely implying a good heart. What gon did was reasonable because someone who he looks up to, cares about, and is one of the main reason he wanted to become a hunter was killed in front of him, by a person who only had pure malice. Keep in mind that this is gon's first time feeling a loss and it's a person who he cares about (his hero basically), he was angry with himself because he couldn't do anything when they first met pitou, and he blames himself for this, and he was very frustrated about that. He was also angry at pitou because she changed, back then gon saw him as pure malice, a monster, but now, she showed human traits, she was caring for someone. Gon didn't understand this, that's why he was yelling at pitou, he was confused and frustrated that how can a monster who showed nothing but malice when they first met, now felt like a human, another factor to why he was completely tweaking out. Then he proceeded to threaten komugi not because he was a monster but because he was not thinking straight because of his anger. And then after all of this he SNAPS, fully consumed by rage, he didn't think anymore and he was fully set to kill pitou and he will stop at none to achieve that goal, he was not even worrying about the future consequences, just pure rage (a bad trait). If you've been really angry irl you'll know this, you can't think clearly and you'll often regret some of the actions that you did while you were angry. That's what the chimera ant arc is about. The show has been building gon to be pure, kind and good hearted, but the chimera ant arc showed us that even the goodest of hearts can have a bad trait. And on the opposite side, meruem who was born evil and had an evil heart can have a good trait. This is one of the best parallels in animanga in my opinion.
You mentioned god so I'm curious which religion r u bro
is this guy ok bro? its been almost a year
gon is a sweet boy:D
Killua is the only character ( amount my favorites ) that I love without shipping myself with.
Don't know coldest old man but Yamamoto is the hottest
I think this might be my favorite One Piece analysis. I've watched it 3x. The willingness to pursue your dreams with violent tenacity, to the point of death, and the ability to accept death and violently rebel against it is such a cool concept. I think you said it in a much more articulate way that I have tried to in my own analyses. This sort of unspoken understanding of the captain and his subbordinate and this concept is also just such a dramatic (in a good way) way to put all of this. I think if you are a young man who has at any point dared to dream, dared to self actualize and become your greatest self, pursuing your dreams with that alacritous fire that sets your heart ablaze, Zoro and Luffy, and this video illuminate and contextualize a lot of those otherwise unexpressed ambitions.
W analysis
Netero is a top 3 anime character of mine he puts the G in O.G.
Sickle cell is still trash
The existence of Master Roshi makes this objectively wrong
Extremely well-written. Bravo.
Thank you kindly!
palm before the invasion of the castle, was crap honestly lmao, the only downside
the kishimoto glazing is insane to me bro basically made it a competition with himself to ruin every single one of his villains by the end of their arc not a single naruto villain has a good conclusion besides maybe zabuza
Kurapika is even scarier than killua. I don’t think people even realize how insane that actually is. In the fight against uvogin he was like the face of fear itself. His capacity to act with ice cold objectivity while undergoing heated emotions is d@mn near psychopathic.
I am very convinced that Togashi had studied the Bible I see alot references in the Bible and small detail in his writing in HunterXHunter. The fact that Judas was mentioned in York new city confirmed it
This made me cry, Killua has overcome so much...
phwoar. your analysis of Meruem is incredible. This really dives deeply into his mind like I've never seen before. Honestly, genius video. Absolutely love your perspective of good as 'truth' and how HxH blurs the lines of good and evil- and how Mereum deeply questions what is 'worth'? What gives others meaning?
This video made me realise how much I love Hxh and its community😭 it’s literally stands above anything by a mile.
Netero my love😞😞‼️
Brother thank you for this video. You sound like you have the "logoc" of Kurapika himself. Another thing people dont realise is that it makes real world sence that Gon would become very close to Kite very quickly as Kite saved his life 3 times and is closley related to his father. Also they endured many dangerous situations together so essentially the where brithers in arms.
ITS PRONOUNCED HUNTER HUNTER 🙏
drop more vids bro
One of the things i love most about this series is how game like it's ark system is. Very clear but still so well merged.😊
Meteor has all the signs of being a cliche “elder” sensei typecast character but he breaks that mold in every possible way. One of my favorite characters ever created
Don’t disrespect Chrollo aka One of the Goats! Don’t lump him in with the likes of Pain, Eren, Itachi, Sasuke because they were poorly written characters. Sensui > Pain Lelouch > Eren Takasugi > Itachi Hiei, Kurapika, Killua > Sasuke (rip-off bootleg)
i just wish mereum got to open a milk bar and read the paper every day while komugi taught young kids how to play gungi.
finally someone who knows psychology CORRECTLY and can eventually right explain what was happening in the anime on a different level.
Seriously liked Meruem more then Netero during their fight, One was more Human than the other and controdicturie has it, that the Ant was more Human
I find meruem and gon to be two sides of the same coin In my opinion gon wouldve ended up like jean as meruem was planned to become a typical ant king however gons nuturing from a young age changed him and made him more "carring" but he is still selfish and flawed in the same way jean is. The way issac netero is. As meruem himself is. But this ant had no such anchor to good he was driven by strength and instinctual logic however through his time with komogi and learning the art of enjoying the game, the battle, the fight for your life it built his character as it was his further path towards reaching a true king and while gon has no drive that could match that level of intensity. I would say his resolve to find jean or to avenge kite would rival or even surpass meruem as he was so young he never even understood what was important till he was in deaths door where a simple ant is saved brought back from the brink by his last two gaurds as he hears his mother say his name long after her death. Only then did he realize what was important. Only then did he realize his true purpose and infact surpass gon on his journy to self actualization that we all go through every day but gon will catch up soon as he was already close to a revolation last arc but he was still young in body and mind not meruem he was young only in body but in mind? He was wise he only lacked experience also like gon in a way they truly are similar a human and an ant the ant just burned to ash faster but just as bright perhaps if given a chance meruem could even of been similar to gon but he was an ant no the ant king and he could not be allowed to live
I'm not editing that but dead ass you know a characters arc means alot when your yelling over a fucking name (Fucking issacs a dick)
i want more character like mereum.
chrolo: general villain as all stories, mereum: a unique one
everytime komugi and meruem talked you can see its like an adult trying to understand a child, but in their last conversation this dynamic flipped, meruem calling for komugi again and again just like a child reassuring his parent is there when hes about to fall asleep
You either got to get a quieter mouse or edit it out
He is exactly like Cell without the coolness factor and with a simpness factor added.
There a reason why this comment has zero likes
Bro just wait till dressrosa
Wait till you get to the Paramount war
I got the theme of dreams before this video but then it gave me a whole new understanding of one piece … you referenced panels I completely forgot about
Love this video
Death in One Piece is a very interesting concept Great video!!!!
I don’t think Netero has an unwavering sense of justice at all. It’s extremely fluid and is honestly likely informed by his own whims and curiosity, not black and white notions of morality. It’s the same reason he kept Pariston around: because his schemes were fun. This doesn’t even factor in that Pariston’s schemes can and likely have cost people their lives and absolutely will continue to in the future I.e the 5000 Chimera Ant eggs he has.
You’re incredibly insightful and succinct. This channel is gonna blow I know it!
Meruem is more likely the Sensui of HxH.
I'm not even Upset Netero lost the battle. He was very old and Meruem is kinda broken, and was born to be that strong thanks to his mom consuming countless ppl. Meruem grew on me. Wish he could have lasted longer.
the holy grail of character writing, MERUEM !! All hail the King
One underrated thing about hxh is the outfit changes. It's something most anime don't even try.
Sasuke's *hokage* quote is laugh at, because most pink-glasses Naruto/Konoha fan never stopped to LISTENING to him. He, after Hokages stories, defined HOKAGE as 'one who ENDURES most'. So in prism of his revolution, it got PERFECT sense. Meanwhile Konoha people just took it, like many NARUTO fans, as POPULARITY CONTEST. 😑 Sasuke is seinen character, trapped in shounen world. He is just too complexed for all those 'friendship and ponnies are cures to all bad' ideology. 🥱🥱🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Facts.
