Nice to see ya back Glen...lol... We started through the ice on nov.1st (off the boat dock)..... been a brookie/rainbow feed fest.. best early ice bite i have seen in 15 years..... I hope it's a sign of things to come... Went out and did ice check yesterday, and we are at 4-6 inches of hard ice... headed out Sunday for first day with all the gear... lol ICE SEASON IS HERE...LOL Stay safe out there my friend, and good luck this season.... From my finally frozen, slightly lob-sided, overtaxed igloo on the mountain in grande cache alberta D. P.s... invested in a diesel heater for this season.... can't wait to have nice dry heat... WINTER ICE CAMPING HERE I COME...NO MORE PROPANE!!!!

Geeze that looks Gnarly. Glad you are okay and made it back to have a story to tell! If we spend lots of time on the water, we are bound to run into those situations sometime sooner or later. I always carry a hand bailing pump in any of my boats, and I have a drift sock tied to the front of my tin boat as well as a last resort so the bow will face the waves as it drifts with them. The hand pump has saved my bacon once on a really windy day on Crawling Valley when my motor leg caught a rocky shoal which pinned the back of my boat down, letting 2 big breaking waves came over the back. That pump and my panick got that boat pumped out just in time!

Ma boyz, tomorrow morning i should of bin there with my son. But, again, cant make it out there. I made a huge promise to myself. The ice fishing season will be all mine and my son. Overnights, weekend fishing. Fingers crossed the ticker will stay with me.

I have this bait/ lures that if there is a pike on the area it will bite . Literally if the pike feel the drop on the water only a second and it’s a fight
