1938 Ford Coupe LS Swap - Car Intro and Standalone Wiring Harness Progress
Переглядів 5144 роки тому
In this video I give a quick walkaround/intro of my dad's 1938 Ford Coupe, as well as a progress update of the standalone wiring harness for the 5.3 ls based engine that will be going into it. It already has a small block 305 in it, so the groundwork has been laid for a fairly simple swap. Car Updates: BIG TURBO Fiesta & Camaro Dyno Day Coming Soon... Hopefully!
Переглядів 3534 роки тому
Hey, everyone, today's video is just a quick little update on both the Fiesta and the Camaro. I just recently purchased a used s242 turbo (earlier version of s280) that was made by turbo technics and hope to be getting it on the Fiesta in the near future. Also, the Camaro is ALMOST ready to hit the dyno, assuming the test drives and data logging goes well. Stay tuned for more and make sure to L...
Fiesta ST Gets LOUD Blowoff Valve - Turbosmart VP
Переглядів 15 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I install a Turbosmart VP blowoff valve (bov) in the symposer port location of the charge piping on my Fiesta ST. This task includes removing and replacing the factory bypass valve (bpv) with a block-off plate, removing and replacing the factory symposer location with the new bov, and using a maf adapter/boost tap to supply a vacuum/boost source for the bov. Overall, the install w...
"BIG" Intercooler for my Fiesta ST! - Whoosh V3
Переглядів 3,1 тис.4 роки тому
In this video you will see me install the Whoosh V3 intercooler on my Fiesta ST. As a whole, the install was very simple. However, for being a "direct fit" item that supposedly requires no modifications to the car, it did require some fitment work. The bumper was pressed hard against the intercooler as I was putting it back on. Some quick cutting with a dremel solved all the problems though. Ov...
Fiesta ST Gets Whoosh Short Shifter
Переглядів 4,1 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I will be installing and reviewing the Whoosh short shifter for the Fiesta ST. Install was straight forward with very little work. The overall performance is great, especially for the low cost of the item. For $70, I am extremely happy with the purchase and looking forward to more drives in my Fiesta. First Start Up!! Intercooler is DONE!! - Procharged Camaro FMIC Part 3
Переглядів 1,4 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I finish up the intercooler on the Camaro, adjust the suspension so I can hit the road, and film the first start up of the car with the front mount intercooler on. The car seems to be running much better, however, as you will see in the next video, big issues and unknown results lie around the corner. Procharged Camaro Front Mount Intercooler - Part 2 - ALMOST DONE!
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 роки тому
In this video I continue where I left off the last one, going through the process of installing my front mount intercooler on my procharged camaro. You will see me cutting the crash bar, drilling holes in it, and then painting it before finally reinstalling. Sadly, I was not able to get it all done in this video, as I am still working on the car before starting it and I would like the final par...
Front Mount Intercooler on Procharged Camaro!! - Part 1
Переглядів 1 тис.4 роки тому
In today's video I will be showing the first few steps of the front mount intercooler install on supercharged Camaro. Things are looking like they should go pretty smoothly. The bumper and foam bumper cover underneath were simple to remove and the pipes seemed to fit rather well for a budget, custom kit that someone had previously made. The only thing left to do is figure out exactly how I want...
Fiesta ST Gets DNA Traction Bar
Переглядів 3,5 тис.4 роки тому
In today's video I install a DNA front traction bar on my Fiesta ST. The install is straight forward and simple. Following the install I leave a review on my thoughts and opinions of the brace and the performance gains. Overall, the brace was well worth the money and I look forward to future chassis upgrades. Hopefully I can make this car into a decent track-day toy/daily driver. Link to the DN...
My Camaro Gets a Set of Viking Front Coilovers!!
Переглядів 6 тис.4 роки тому
Hey, everybody, in this video you will see me install a set of bearing mounted, front coilovers from Viking and UMI performance with. These work with any 1993-2002 GM f-bodies. The reason I decided to switch from my current setup (Koni STRs and Strano lowering springs) is because of the poor ground ground clearance. With the Vikings being adjustable, I can set them to where I like and hopefully...
Dizzy Stage 1 Fiesta ST - Why It's a MUST DO!!
Переглядів 15 тис.5 років тому
In this video I will reviewing my thoughts and experiences on the Fiesta ST Stage 1 Tune from Dizzy Tuning. It gives a significant increase in both power and torque, while keeping the car in its stock form. It is as simple as purchasing a Cobb Tuning Accessport (new or used), as well as a flash tune from Dizzy. All in all, it is a great value for under $400 if buying the accessport in used cond...

Dizzy tuning the best.
Any wiring issues with factory wiring to the fuel pump?
Very useful info thanks, will be definitely buying one
What a fucking waste. The volume is so low you need to be a lip reader to get anything out of the video.
Did you run into any belt slip with this setup?
Any chance u could get the idler pulley info?
when are you going to do a update on this swap. because I am actually do that swap right now on a 1938 ford deluxe coupe
Thanks for the Fist5 code. Shipping is no longer free. $50
What size intercooler iz this?
Nice pressure on that brake line. Lucky it didn't snap.
What cam are you running?
Sorry for the delay. This is a custom grind. I believe 232/240 .600/.600 115+3
what is your wheel and tire combo please?
Why the hell you babying it?
Stock radiator and fan setup? Enough space ?
Damn, it's a bitch to screw that sshifter on. It took me forever! There's like zero room for your hands.
When you said 13 degrees over ambient did you mean in Fahrenheit? Or Celsius
Fahrenheit hes from the US
awesome video. what is the procharger set up you have going there ? thanks
Hey I got the same kit and notice here in Cali with ac in traffic my temp gets hot , the single fan isn’t enough , have u had issues with ur temp get hot ?
Looking for a fun commuter car since gas is 5 buck a gallon, with your tune port can you switch back between stock and stage 1 . Not that I would except possibly in snowy condition
You can bounce, but you’re probably just better off using the eco mode
Hello. Just watched your video and was wondering if you know which spring you had in this?.. if you’re still running this set up that is. Recently bought a veeport pro and it has a whit color spring. To stiff for my boost level which maxes out @17.
did you have to delete the factory pressure regulator from the pump??
Did you end up using the foam for the bumper support?
Thank god someone else said something. My FiST also does the “shifting lunge,” from first to second. Ive been apologizing to my passengers, while insisting it was the car.
have you checked your engine mounts? After rmm upgrade, i did my upper mounts and those were lose as hell.
Hey do you have a part number for that idler pulley ?
Good 👍🏾 my guy
What's the dimensions of the heat shield? I want to make an aluminium one.
My comment is late, but I know what you mean about the 1st to 2nd gear shift and my car is stock. It only seems to be the fist shift from 1st to 2nd. After that its ok.
What all is done to the lq4 going this route on my 2000 z28
It's a rebuilt stock bottom end with .030 over pistons and still rocking stock 317s. Other than that, blower cam, headers, and ls6 intake.
Another great vid. Are you in any face book fbody groups if not plz join us
Thanks man just got my 2nd fb/ta been looking into how I want to add boost this looks like a great set up ill be following and watching
What did you do with the factory in tank regulator?
Threw it in the trash lol
Do you have a bov, or adapter. I have a cold air and mine does not do this. Lol.
Had a turbosmart symposer port bov lol
Wondering what the ride quality on these are?
You are working on stuff that is too shiny for my liking.. I wouldnt know what to do...
I have the same setup but with tubular lower a arms with bearing mounts and get a lot of noise at low speeds. Are yours quiet ? Also, what springs are you running? Mine are 350lb
what are the rebound and compression settings on all 4 corners?
Where did you get the intercooler piping from the throttle body with the iat sensor
Any pointers on how to adjust it? I tried adjusting mine multiple times and it doesn’t sound nowhere near as good as yours lol mine has a super low sound to it and doesn’t woooosh as much either. Thanks!
Use this link. Hopefully it helps. www.turbosmart.com/news/adjusting-your-bov-or-bpv/ And make sure you're getting a good vacuum reference too. Make sure the hose is tightly clamped on both ends and check to make sure your map tap is properly installed.
I just bought an ST and heard this noise when I let off the accelerator and got worried. I love cars but don’t know much about them. So this noise isn’t a bad thing?
No, you want to hear that noise. However, you should probably dig deeper and see what all has been done to your car, just so you know more about it.
@@hillbillygarage1270 Yeah I have been, I looked under the bonnet after I posted this comment and saw that it’s got an Airtec Air filter with primary and secondary pipes in it.
Nice! An intake alone will make the factory bypass valve sound much more prominent. Pull the passenger wheel off and get a good look at the turbo, just to see if they installed an aftermarket bov or bpv too.
@@hillbillygarage1270 yeah I was planning on doing that. What does the hard turbo pipe do exactly? Apparently it helps the sound as well but does it really make a difference?
@@hoodedr6 Are you talking about doing aluminum charge pipes? If so, they won't make any noticable performance difference, at least on a stock turbo car. I'm sure they have better/smoother flow, but the stock stuff isn't a hindrance for most cars. As for noise, it's tough to say.
Nope
i have a 39 ford truck with a 350 that im going to put a 5.3 in it also, probably heads and cam, looking at the trailblazer ss intake, should get 450 hp with that setup, may just do a cam not sure, i have had good performance numbers with just a cam so kinda not sure, ive seen some of the 90 buck standalones on ebay and if seen the 200 300 buck ones i guess ill go with one of those once i figure out just what i need..
A pre-made harness is a good choice. It's probably more cost efficient than taking the time to build your own. I just wanted to learn something new. My brother-in-law is using an eBay standalone in his third gen Camaro swap. It seems to be decent quality. Just know that you will likely have to make some modifications to the pre-made ones to fit your car's layout.
Are you still running the dizzy stage 1 tune? Any reliability issues?
The car is actually gone now. That being said, I never had a single issue in the 15k miles or so that I had tunes on it. I had run stage 1, 2, and e30 tunes from Dizzy without issue.
I just picked up this kit from ron and installed it today. I previously had a turbo smart kompact and it was a bit too loud for my liking. This one is nice and quiet and won’t get a lot of attention, it’s sounds really clean too
Thanks for the video!
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Good video brotha, rock on man..
You say you used the -6 for return...what did you do for supply side?
Whoops. Missed this comment. I'm still using the stock feed line. They're good for about 1000hp on pump gas. However, I'm about to redo the fuel system again and jump to a -8 feed as I switch to e85.
@@hillbillygarage1270 nice! Im going ahead with the change myself while I'm down there. That way it's ready for whatever whenever 😁
can i use this set up for the 1.0 ecoboost or is it different?
I suppose you could try lol. I don't know anything about the 1.0s
i tryed it it works haha
Like the results. And excellent videos by the way!! Brian does an excellent job tuning!!! He did a fantastic job with my H/C. And hopefully Procharger in the future
Yes, he does a great job!
Not sure if ur facebook is working but figured I try here, if u still have that intercooler set up for sale. Im willing to pick it up.
5:14 i get that jerk aswell. From first to second. Precise foot movement stops this. I have just bought one with no tunes or mods. May check to see if previous owners put an engine mount in. When i go from 1st to second it sound like something is loose in engine bay. Im new all this btw.
get a RMM, thats the shitty OEM RMM not handling the engine torque
Did you get the stage 1 flash tune or did you get the custom e-tuning?
Just the flash
