This dude manipulated his hector's love and concern for him just to get what he wanted. And based on their conversation, he done this before. Personally, I'd beat the crap out of him then remember he's my little brother before I use a blade on him. He said he would not ask Hector to fight his war, Hector told him, "you already have" as Hector walked away, you can see Paris had a look of great relief that his brother decided to help him with Helen. All that talk of going back to Sparta with Helen and die fighting was a bluff to work on Hector's heart. he banked on Hector's love to protect him from any enemy. Had Hector took her back to Sparta, he would not have leave the boat. He would have kept his head down in shame or hide from her sight just to avoid the look on her face as they sailed away and left her on Spartan docks.
