Melkor's Most Horrific Acts & Eru Ilúvatar's Forgiveness | Middle-Earth Lore
The story chronicles Melkor's fall from grace as one of the first and most powerful Ainur created by Ilúvatar. Initially blessed with tremendous creative power, Melkor begins to desire independence from Ilúvatar's grand design during the Great Music that creates Arda (the world). His discord in the Music becomes the seed of evil in creation.
After descending into Arda, Melkor corrupts the perfect world the other Valar build, destroying the Two Lamps that light the world. He establishes Utumno, his first fortress, where he twists creatures into monsters and corrupts some Maiar, including Mairon (later Sauron). The Valar eventually defeat and imprison him for three ages.
Upon release, Melkor feigns reformation but secretly poisons the Noldor Elves against the Valar. With the spider-creature Ungoliant, he destroys the Two Trees of Valinor and steals the Silmarils, three jewels containing the Trees' last light. The Silmarils burn him constantly but he sets them in an iron crown. This act earns him the name Morgoth (Black Enemy).
The story follows his wars against the Noldor in Beleriand, including epic confrontations like his duel with Fingolfin and the theft of one Silmaril by Beren and Lúthien. Though he wins many victories and destroys great elven kingdoms like Gondolin, Morgoth's power gradually diminishes as he spends it corrupting the world.
The tale culminates in the War of Wrath, where the Valar finally intervene. Despite unleashing dragons including Ancalagon the Black, Morgoth is defeated. The Valar cast him into the Void beyond the world, where he remains until the prophesied Final Battle.
The narrative ends with Ilúvatar addressing Melkor directly, suggesting that even this fall was part of a greater divine plan, offering wisdom about pride, power, and ultimate sovereignty.

Becoming Aragorn: A Treacherous Path Through Middle-Earth

I was born into secrecy, my very existence a whisper in the shadows of a dying age. My first breath came in the year 2931 of the Third Age, but the weight of centuries past already lay heavy upon my infant shoulders. They named me Aragorn, son of Arathorn, but that name was quickly hidden away, replaced by Estel - hope. A fitting name, though its true meaning eluded me for many years. I would c...

This tale unfolds through Sauron's eyes, offering a glimpse into the Dark Lord's machinations. While we've endeavored to honor Tolkien's vision, the shadows of Middle-earth conceal many secrets. Our narrative ventures into uncharted territories, weaving canon with conjecture. We witness Sauron's encounter with Khamûl, a meeting shrouded in mystery, and observe his dealings with another fierce E...

This tale adheres to the broad strokes of Tolkien's established history for Khazad-dûm, but it takes considerable creative liberties in filling in the details and creating specific characters and events. Adherence to Canon: The founding of Khazad-dûm by Durin the Deathless, the discovery and mining of mithril, the relationship with the Elves of Eregion the general timeline of Khazad-dûm's rise ...

Ai generated garbage.
Such good writing and insight to fill out Tolkien’s outline of history. Well done.
Thank you!
One very tiny tiny observation - and this is not a criticism, but a few times you've gone from first person to 'eye of God', referring to Melkor as a separate person. Very easy to do. Just thought you might want to know if you read this
Ah, I hope it didn't distract too much. Do you remember when it occures ?
Phenomenal work
Thank you!
That was Pretty much ( AWESOME )
Lol left-tenant not loo-tenant 😊
This is fantastic! Adds magic to my day. I can't thank you enough. Can't resist adding, it's a shame Tolkien maligns spiders so much. They do so much good and save many lives. Without them, all life on earth would cease. Ungolient in contrast is more black hole than spider. I'm glad how in the game shadow of war, they made Shelob on the side of good, giving Talion visions to help him fight against Sauron. But Tolkien's novels doesn't help their cause at all. On an entirely different note, I wonder what would've happened if Sauron gave Morgoth a ring of power? Someone elsewhere suggested that Celebrimbor was a better craftsman than Feanor because the rings were much more powerful than the simirals. One thing that you could say Sauron was though - he was loyal.
wow this is friggin awesome!
Damn this is amazing!
I poured my heart into this piece about Melkor's life, and I'm very happy how it turned out - my best work yet I think. Anyway, thanks for watching guys!
Amazing work! Absolutely brilliant!!
It is wonderful! Thank you!
This one is truly a masterpiece.
I think your best work was becoming the witch king. I enjoy all your work, but so far, that's remained my favourite
@@fred20097 I love that you say that! It's interesting - the Witch King video really divides people's opinions. I get both praise and a lot of hate for that one.
So happy I’m here first for this banger
I like to think Tolkien wrote himself into the story.
Wow fantastic video. Glad I just found your channel. Loved the video, deff checking out the others. Subbed. Keep up your quality work. It shows.
I appreciate it!
This is pretty gay
Does the Witch-king resemble the one from Mar-a-Lago?
Great job It sounds like Daniel Davis narrating he did Darth Plagues
Not sure how I feel about this story besides the great telling of it.
If it don't fit in a short, don't put it in a short.
"And Morgoth came"... I must've missed it...
It's good, too bad they can't create videos like this yet. Still some of the pictures help give an idea of Tolkens writings.
I've been trying to figure out the Witch King's name so I can use it as a game nickname because he always seemed like the most badass character to me
So many words, so little to say. AI obviously. 🙄 He was a black Numenorean, meaning that he was a descendant of those that were originally corrupted to Morgoth worship before Numenor was destroyed. They indulged in black magick, dark ritual and spell work: evil people and brought up their children the same way.
Crazy effort. Well done!
Feanor calling Fingolfin a pale imitation, oh how wrong he turned out to be.
They mention the pits carved out of the earth by Morgoth’s mace, but not the trench made in the ground by Fingolfin dragging his enormous balls into battle.
Tolkien never wrote about this = its like Disney RoP , fake
I imagine it was easy for Sauron to convince the 9 men to take the rings. I'm sure that regardless of whatever rationale and arguments he made them, the allure of the 9 rings, enhanced by the presence of the 1, would quickly win over the hearts of the Nazgul, even if they were wary at first.
Beautiful as always 🌹
Very good. Taste of more off it. Where's the rest??
The narration is drowned out by the music. We need some editing here
True, this video is kind of old. The music volume should be more to your liking in my recent videos I think!
is this ai generated?
LOVE the video. Thank you again! Another gem. This is an observation, not a criticism: the video seems to take place after the Dead fulfilled their oath to Isildur's heir. That should've meant they were then able to rest in peace? If they've fulfilled the oath, then that's not how it's supposed to work. There's a strict code of honour at play here, as far as i know. It's up to both sides to honour their agreement. Maybe you should've set the video before Aragorn called on them to keep their promise? Also, everyone pronounces Sam Gamgee's name as Gamgee as in 'gee whiz'. But wouldn't it be Gamgee as in 'go' or 'gate'? It simply sounds more country yokel than 'Gamgee-whiz' in my opinion. It's based on the dialect of the English countryside. I have been known to be wrong
I think Tom would actually be tulkas in tolkiens mythos. A valar curious but not interfering overmuch in the third age and Nessa being Goldberry He would not be Illuvatar in the mythos as Tom has boundaries spoken of in the council of elrond
Cool vid
Love the imagery, thank you!
Yeah, I’ve been at work listening to this so when I go home, I’m going to listen to it to deal with my headset on while I’m in the dark
It is. I can’t think of any other place so macabre. Very nice. 👍. As usual, Numanorean creates a master piece. Hey everyone, tell all your friends to subscribe and for them to get their friends to do the same. This artist and master story teller puts his soul into his stories. A true purist.
I'm a huge fan too
I don’t think Peter Jackson did this justice.
I 100% agree
Yeah, some parts of the LOTRs movies were good, but not all.
Is the Paths of the Dead the most haunting place in Middle-Earth?
Minas Morgal another contender maybe? Or the Barrow Downs perhaps in third place?
@@fred20097 Both are in top 5, I am making a list, but don't tell anyone! ;)
@@numenorean81your secret is safe with me :)
this... was absolutely captivating... felt like I was part of the story. Incredible work! Thank you so much! ❤
your videos are absolutely incredible... I feel like a child listening to a fairytale, taking in every word and every beautiful image. thank you so much and please dont stop making them ❤
Thank you Anna :) I really appreciate your kind words
Hey Numenorean, I updated all my songs to include your channel. I wish the best for you always. Be safe and keep up the incredible work!
Thank you brother, I am in your dept!
One thing i loved about the Rings of Power is the idea of the dwarves singing to the rock to find the best place to mine. It made the dwarves part of the music of Eru Illuvitar in a most beautiful way, like the elves and their songs.
Who's the guy reading this his voice is so beautiful and incredible and why is there no one commented on it yet what is going on out there?? Does anyone know this guy's voice
Hmm interesting...written by AI supposedly?
Who supposed that? I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
What does it matter if it's written by a computer? I'm still enjoying it.
Tom Bombadil is my favourite person in Tolkien. So wise and important to all who met him, who knew him
Couldn't get through it, lose the background music, it just doesn't fit I'm afraid
Gotta be the dumbest title ever in lotr channels. Any information you have about this fictional character is coming from a story that's already been told. So how the fuck are you providing an "untold story".
The Souls of The Damned.
Got to ask, what do you mean by 'period' in the title? Shouldn't it be 'full stop'? Tolkien was a British, not a US writer, i thought
