Hi. I arrive in HCMC on 29th Jan and intended to pick up a local sim card from Viettel store in District 1. Do you know if the store will be open on this date or likely to be closed?

Tet in Vietnamese was written as 節 100 years ago. Koreans who can read Hanja, Chinese and Japanese will know it means 'festival'. Tet Trung Thu is 節中秋 . And if you know Chinese, Japanese or can read Korean Hanja, you'll know it means Mid-Autumn Festival. When I was at Ho Chi Minh History Museum, I was able to read the ancient text on display. I think Vietnamese can preserve Chinese like the Japanese, using them in names and content words. Famous Chinese actors such as Wang Yi Bo in Vietnamese is Vương Nhất Bác . Why? Because the Vietnamese who did the translation knew how to read his Chinese name 王一博 in Vietnamese.

Your videos are great. We are going to Vietnam next month and I booked our hotel in Saigon before I watched this video. We booked a room at the Myst Dong Khoi. You did not recommend this hotel, so I hope we made the right choice.

Hello Thuy, thank you for sharing. You seem to be very gentle and have great knowledge about Ha Noi. Me and my wife (her picture and gmail account here) plan to visit Ha Noi in May 2025. Do you happen to be tour guide or may be give us some reference if you are not. We would want to stay 8 nights in Ha Noi and have day trips to other places and get back to Ha Noi for accomodation...do you think it's feasible ? Thanks again for great video.
