Patches and assorted noodling with my Novation Peak and Polyend Tracker.
I usually sequence with an Arturia Keystep and use the Tracker to program drums, though the Tracker is also an admirable sequencer and I use it for that purpose from time to time.
Processing is extremely minimal. Tiny bit of compression to get loudness up to UA-cam standards, but otherwise everything is straight out of the Peak/Tracker with so few exceptions that I can't think of any off the top of my head.
Thank you for listening.

Easy breezy weeknight beat on Polyend Tracker, showing the whole process from sample selection to a completed loop. More Peak soon. Thank you for your time.

We are back. Sorry about the shaky pinky I broke it kind of horribly several years ago and never really got the strength back. Pretty good problem to have as far as those things go.

Weird little semi-generative thing from last night. Just a bunch of really slow modulation across a lot of parameters, nothing too crazy.

wow. love it
Love these. Thanks for posting a a series focusing on the same instrument. Really fun to listen to a number of takes.
@@rweberc very much appreciated!
coming back for a third listen 🔥
@@TimCollins very much appreciated
Awesome jam - Peak sounds amazing as always. The Polyend seems like a great pairing for this synth.
very nice , i'm in love this synth . Do you use midi cc for each voice with the polyend tracker ? I will listen to your album with pleasure
❤❤❤
Love this! Beautiful harmony, nice dynamics, and I always forget that you can actually play chords and melodies at the same time with those eight voices! 🙈 This is giving me some lovely Kiasmos vibes. Check out their song Thrown. :)
Beautiful one synth piece!
Nice build-up!
beautiful stuff
@@forcefieldsound Thank you
another magical soundscape... I love the mood of your videos
wow... what a beautiful soundscape.. congratulations.. it sounds amazing
Thank you for your time
Love your videos dude, not just the music but the way you film and edit also, so nice. Also, I recently found if I send 3 or4 tracks of midi to the Peak with varying sustain and velocity it can sound like more than one synth: ua-cam.com/video/5meRI6GhHp4/v-deo.html
I'll have to give that a shot, my midi sequences are usually extremely pedestrian, haha. Thanks for listening.

back to hear this one too........................spectacularly nuanced movements & variations.......................L O V E this......................these subtle shifts and pitch modulation is intoxicating.....................truly ephemeral.........(and that odd little Shaky Cam moment edited in)
...back to give this a second ear..............so much more satisfying and to my taste than most of the other 'ambient' synth videos uploaded here recently...............Question: Did you make this patch, or is it from a factory or custom sound bank?
@@willswitchcraft Thanks for your thoughts and thanks so much for listening. This is a patch I made from init, as are all the patches on this channel.
I just love the slowly evolving panning filter action...............it's an immersive binaural massage in headphones................and then those dreamier tones with their subtle pitch shifting............continuing to bloom.....................what an amazing and glorious session..............So great to hear such inspiring sounds from an often overlooked piece of gear.....love the 'crunchy centre'................right up my alley...masterfully done! So great to get a Peak at what you've done as you take your Peak to the Peak
@@willswitchcraft Many, many thanks
Lovely ambient sounds

Amazing sounds! Ambient machine-man!

Sounds like oceans 🌊
it's so beautiful. you are so nice performance. I relax and healing by listening your work. and I want to ask you question. because I want to be like you. what instruments did you use for this performance? Did you use DAW or PC? and how did you connect instrument to instrument. My English is so terrible. sorry,,,
happy dr((((o))))ne day, thank you
Waves of organicness gently wash and caress our ears. Great work as always!
<3
oh yeah!................love these flowing waves..................I'm always drawn to these 'dirty/noisy' vibes for some reason..........perhaps because those sounds emulate aspects of nature, or our analogue history..............mesmerizing
Love this, thank you.
The buildup is good though!
9 minutes of buildup

Beautiful, like everything from you! Is it just Peak, or are some external effects (pedals, daw) used? I see that you also have Polyend Tracker there, do you use it in combination with Peak? Thanks!
Thank you! Everything you're hearing is straight out of the Peak. I do a tiny bit of compression in my NLE just to get it up to UA-cam loudness, but the audio doesn't even touch a DAW. The Tracker is sequencing, I have a few videos where I trigger sounds with it as well but I haven't done one of those in quite a while. Thanks again.
Absolutely captivating piece. Amazing pads. Can you explain more about how you make the harmonics and the sound design? it sounds outstanding.
Thank you. Many of the different sections of this are really just me changing what is being modulated by two LFOs. LFO 1 is a really fast triangle, 2 is a very slow square. I used 1 to muddy things up. You can hear it frequently on the noise, the filter, some of the oscillators. Anything that sounds dirtier or more broken up than it should, that's LFO 1. LFO 2 is on a few oscillators. There's a moment around seven minutes into this video where the pitch of one of the oscillators jumps up suddenly. That's LFO 2, it's touching a variety of other things in much smaller ways like how much of the ring mod we're hearing. Just making things big, organic, a little broken-sounding, that was the idea. Thanks again.
@@communityoflearners Absolutely organic sound. congrats! Thank you for the comments!

Entrancing pulsed drone. Well done!
Dreamy and mesmerizing. Beautiful jam, it’s really soothing and peaceful.
love these dreamy tones, ........nuanced, exotic..............so ephemeral..................awesome upload.............................
Thank you
Subscribed. Your videos are beautiful. I'm also saving up for a Peak, so this is simply wonderful.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy Peak when you get it
I recently got a Peak and your videos using it have been so inspiring to me. Have you ever thought of offering any tutorials to help others learn this beautiful (but overwhelming) instrument? You use it so well!
I'm probably going to do a video at some point walking through my whole setup since it allows me to do some fun things with sequencing that people may be interested in. Maybe it'll lead to a tutorial series? Honestly I'm a little hesitant to try to explain too much-- feel like I learn something new with each one of these which may mean I still have a long way to go before I really understand this thing. But I'm really glad that the videos have been inspiring. It's a wonderful instrument.
No pressure either way! If it feels right, go for it. I learn so much from following along with others. Maybe a patch from scratch video. Where you start with initialized patch and just do your thing. Your sounds/videos are just so dreamy. Keep creating and sharing what’s in your heart.
@@communityoflearnerswould love a set up / tutorial video
Hey, man! Unsure why it took me so long to navigate to this tendril of your musical prowess, but here I am, enjoying it in all it's glory. You have always inspired me with your music, and I am yet again thrown into the familiar state of mind that "Long Run EP" induced years ago. I'd better get writing. So glad to see you are well and creating. Your friend, Connor
Really good to hear from you as always my friend. Always appreciate your thoughts on what I'm doing.
Gorgeous! Are oscillators 1 and 2 fixed and then you have a sequence into 3? The voice you’ve got for 3 is so warm and lovely, is it the granular one? I could listen to this for hours. 😊
Thank you very much for listening. This patch and seq are actually simpler than they seem-- All three oscs are just holding a sustained chord for the duration. The sequenced sound comes from modulation of osc3's wavetable position with LFOs (jumping up and down an octave due to position in the wavetable), and that's why the sound of the "sequence" changes as I change the rate of LFO 2. I was also manually switching osc3 to a lower octave at various points. As far as wave shapes, I'm pretty sure it was just osc 1 sine, osc 2 pulse, osc 3 saw. And then generous filtering.
Thanks, really appreciate it ☺@@communityoflearners
