Jun Kazama underrated buttons - Tekken 8 | Season 1
Переглядів 2,7 тис.14 днів тому
Here are some moves that I dont see Juns use as much as I think they should (myself included lol). Originally I was gonna make a buttons and pokes video but I thought it may be a bit generic. Huge props to Kirakira and Blackheart for promoting f1 2 and 1 4 in their streams. I may revisit the pokes or neutral idea in season 2 depending on what changes Jun gets Time stamps: - 0:08 | 1st move - 2:...

In this short video I wanted to highlight some inconsistent combos for Jun to raise more awareness and hopefully get them fixed at some point #tekken8 #junkazama #combos #tekken8jun
Love the commentary bro. Good vids. Also a jun main here
How do you get the jeweled headband piece?
wait Zelda's such an appropriate pick for a Jun custom, that's sick xD. Nice matches!
Nice zelda outfit and this kinda style reminds me of Vman95100. He would upload MK videos and commentate with text. Very nice stuff
Nice video!! I’m a jun main so I love seeing these types of videos haha, and I don’t know if you know but you probably did when you do f2 then 1+2 for the launcher then heat dash you can do f2 + 1+2 then b3+2 twice then do the normal combo it carries them to the plus doing a lot of damage but your a higher rank then me so you will have more experience and probably knew just in case you didn’t though again great video keep going these are good for me to learn haha
I love how you explain all the little details that happen throughout the fight, how have I not seen you before😭
I main Jun since Tekken 2 thanks for uploading this video this will help alot to fully master her
iam very fucking hate DRAGUNFUCK
Very entertaining. Please continue these.
Nice end with the dab. (: Lee is so tricky.
Lmao these videos are educational as well as entertaining 😂😂😂 please keep it up lol AMAZING job!! 💪
Thank you for uploading the video. I'm a battler ruler with a Tekken rank, and watching your video is very helpful.
Thank you so much for sharing the Jun combos that I didn’t know. Have a nice day and have a great Tekken time bro.
GGs!
nice matches. Bryan matches were close. Bryan is slow. Use small tekken up close and quick and see how he prefers to deal with that. Does he like to block, duck, sidestep, armor? Counter his preference. The only thing you really have to watch for up close is orbital. His sidestep 1,2 finishes with a high elbow, you can duck and launch that. Hope that helps!
I need some bryan matchups as Jun
thanks :)
I find that the best way to fight Bryan is to stay close and use fast pokes like 1,2 or b2 to keep him from using his big CH options. I also try to use moves like db2 or gen3d or f2d to go into crouch and use fcdf3 against people who block and don't crouch. Or just ff1+2 (esp in heat) to get pressure and chip. Another thing about Bryan is that you gotta sidestep to his right sometimes to avoid some of the moves that cover the left (like his df1 ir his qcb2). Another thing is that since he has too many elbows and knees, parries are very weak against him, so using b3+4 can be a better option if you think he'll frame trap and you're not sure where to move.
after jin and nina bryan is by far my worse matchup, he jusy keep counter me every time and dont understand how to play the neutral, and in close range he do all his low and if you try to duck or press he counter hit you and is insane
God I love the editing
I was typing up a comment and autoplay moved to the next video and deleted it 😠 Basically Bryan does not want to play small Tekken. You have a point where you are both throwing out turn ending moves and you chose 1+2 and D1+2 a few times iirc. There's no reason to choose those moves on his - frames as he was never going to press, you're just letting him have his turn back. Generally against the Bryan and King you side step on your own + frames and it didn't pay off once. Tekken is a 2 player game and sidestepping without any reason to believe they will press a linear move is dangerous. You would be much better off keeping your turn and looping + frames/frame traps instead. You also throw out cancan after your own + frames a lot. Cancan is a move to steal your turn back unfairly, it is not a frame trap tool. You would be better suited to either committing to a small jab string, DF1 string, or even F1+2 to loop + frames and catch them pressing. Run up cancan is bad for the same reasons, but it is really good against King players as they tend to heavily lean into a weak high/low mix and it beats armor. If your opponent gives you the time to run up cancan, then consider going for FF1+2 for massive + frames to setup frame traps. The last small thing that would give you a massive boost is just whiff punishing. Even just a standing 3, but you let a lot of people whiff and get away with things they shouldn't. I really like your videos the small commentary helps me consider things I wouldn't normally while watching raw gameplay. Keep it up!
@@jtm94 I do indeed feel as tho I forget to use enough moves and get stuck doing the same flowcharts sometimes. That said I dont think cancan is purely a turn steal move. Using it for frame traps is good, you can catch heat burst, pressing, low parry etc so its pretty good, just i used it too much without mixing it up. I think thats my problem overall. I need to concentrate more and be aware of my options and not autopilot. Thanks for the comment and thanks four watching!
Good vid, the comments in the video are helpful to me as someone learning to play jun myself
1 jabs, df1, ssr, a low poke sometimes. you have good poking on jun and bryan's only answer to good poking is to defend. you can literally smother him by staying up in his grill and whiff punishing him when you get the ssr.
I cant rely on jab too much due to his high crush qcb1. I tried it and the good bryans will take advantage of it. Juns df1 has terrible range and tracking so you'd need to watch out for steps. Some of his attacks have good tracking and you really need to comit to a side walk. I understand that, in theory, you have to sit in his face because he doesnt have panic buttons, its just in practice the bryan has so many nice things in the match up. The fact that his check pokes and some ch launchers are elbows and knees makes it harder for jun to parry him and turn steal during neutral. I think theres a lot of nuance in the match up than first meets the eye
@Antis_tk for the record im not a jun player, but i promise you controlling bryan players by poking him to death is a game changer for the matchup. i know he's got tools that beat jabs, but jabs and df1s are the key here. i know that jun's df1 range may not be the best, but it's definitely good enough. df1 and jab strings are good on jun too. she is not lacking in the poking department. you could also easily react to a whiff after sidestepping successfully with any of jun's very safe launchers. for bryan to counterplay he needs to use delay timing to ch your pokes. if you are fighting a Bryan who is good enough to know this then you gotta make sure your timing mixups are good or you're just toast. if youre being ch often your timing may be too predictable.
after rewatching video i think your two biggest mistakes are playing very linear 2D tekken and only stepping occasionally. you should be sidestepping right constantly. if you think he is about to press anything you should try to sidestep block. you can create potential for bryan to whiff without risking anything. the second mistake is that you're playing "big tekken" in the sense that you're both using big strong heavy hitting moves which is one of things bryan is the best at. to control the matchup you want to start your offense with a single jab into ssr. analyze how he reacts and play accordingly. mid/low pokes if he turtles, block/whiff punish if he mashes, df1 to beat high evasion, you should be able to figure out how jun's tools fit the bill better than i can.
@@sighyawn6378 I will see to try that!
@@Antis_tk ua-cam.com/video/uO3sYWxI0IM/v-deo.htmlsi=nS4FPtP9DGq6lXnz if youre still interested i found a guide that covers what i was talking about with small tekken. not so much bryan matchup specifically, but useful overall tekken knowledge. you might know a lot of it already but still worth a watch if youre interested!
I also struggle against Bryan. Thought it was just a me problem 😅 For players like him who like to run away and do nothing, I’ve started just hanging back and healing with Miare stance. It’s like “oh you want to hang back and play lame? Ok let me use my potion”! They usually freak out and then try to rush me. Miare’s special side step lets me dodge into a ss2 and I heal even more. Or go from miare to izumo strike or even a genjutsu move
in my experience, standing back too much also lets them just do whatever they want and start hitting you with hatchets and other lows or mids. Its a bit hard to find the balance between attack and defense against him for me
Love your gameplay and nice outfit though❤. I hope in the next patches she doesn't do much damage to herself while doing combos that utilize Kazama powers this is what keeps me from making her my third main.
Well done 👍, I like your comments during the fight. You are the best.
Thanks, it takes a tad to add them but I do want to show my thoughts during a match with the added comments!
I like up 3+4 :), maybe its bad tho but many ppl dont use it
I like to just randomly throw that out, it works sometimes! When it hits it definitely give me space.
You're the most patient Jun I've seen. Most Jun players are running me down with mix ups and good forward momentum built into her attacks. You should close the distance more with ff2.
I struggle against Bryans as Jun as well. I think you did a good job - it's just easy to choke up against a good Bryan. I have some luck with ff2f mixups as well as f3 ss 1+2 or ss4 pressure. Just have to start forcing them into mixups before they do the same to you!
My problem is that its hard to determine when the player decides to swing with a counterhit launcher. I am afraid to press into bryans because their timing can be so difficult to catch
Bryan is so strong against jun🥲💔
Im not sure if its a bad matchup but I did see some other juns here and there mention bryan as a difficult character to deal with, so im inclined to believe theres something here
Amazing play, I tlly like you jun's play! quick question, U can get up the pressing F1,4 opponent after hit him with at the ground? (counter) sometimes I use, up 2 (counter) and then I use F 1,4 to get up and guarantee a combo
Great video =) i noticed it said with heat burst you can reach wall to wall on 24m stage only with df2,1+2? not df2?
Very good detailed video thanks One small suggestion the music is very irritating and loud could be better Thanks
I like the comentary off caméra xd Tnx for explain i want up jun to fujin
Good games , fun to watch

@KobeKore Thanks
can you tell me how you can add notations to a video? like buttons. i wanna make tutorials for some stuff on my discord server😅
I just looked up tekken notations on google and found this frostemanneogard.github.io/TekkenNotationMaker/ Not sure if its the best site for notations or if its missing a few of them but it gets the job done
0:01 so is Bamco never gonna fix that intro with her default 1? Her sleeve is going thru her arm, it's so annoying.
I know, it annoys me too lol 😅
You just earned a subscriber.Million thanks. Your video is very informative. 🙏
Glad to hear!
Thank you so much for uploading these videos. I’ve played Jun since launch and because I’m new, I don’t exactly *know* how to make her moves work. You’re so helpful!!!
Man. I was just complaining about Jun last night. I feel so weak in the neutral when many characters have the most insane pushback. It’s like I can’t get started with my moves before everyone else is able to hit me.
yea I think stubby range is a big jun problem. I really wish her jab had more range, its like bottom 3 smallest ranges in the game. For a poking character I think her pokes could use a bit of polishing up
Jun mains unite!
Your Jun is peng you’d def smoke me I’d still love to mirror 🥶
you can parry "IM A DRAGON" with the gen parry
Very informative video. Thanks. I’m at Kishin and I’m not using f1+2 at all because I didn’t really understand it, but this helps a lot to know it’s intended more as a parry. I even thought it was supposed to be a punish.
@@ohacade408 It sucks that the game doesnt show the parry frames so yea, I get why people wouldnt immediately know what it does. Just think of it like a "dont press into me" sort of move
Im new in tekken and jun is my only character and always look standing 3 like a troll botton for noobs to press jajajaja, maybe i will use it, it will be fantastic (if you know how it works because no body knows) how to use her reversal, the sabaki is simple because only parry punchs but the reversals cover more options and i wanted to use it more, maybe a video explaining more in detail how to use f1+2 and b3+4? Thanks for the videos!!
@@leonsalv17 thats the strength of reversal, it stops kicks too, so its better against hwoarang for example. My biggest tip for it is to try to find frame traps for it or gaps in the enemy strings that are big enough to sneak it in. Both reversal and f1+2 are frame 5 so if you are -5 or higher, you can use them to steal your turn back. An example: df1,2 blocked (-4) into either parry will turn steal. Or you eat a hatchet from bryan as I show and mash reversal at -5, you can parry as long as its not hopkick, knee, low etc. Also I do think standing 3 is not super good still. It only deals 20 dmg and I wish it was -12 or -11 maybe. I included it because I realized its range is pretty long and it also gives you the oki flip knockdown for a free engage
An earned sub❤
@@z3kdis924ae enjoy your stay!
Forward 1+2 my beloved
Very good Jun!
