Beating Celeste's 40 Minute Barrier
Celeste speedrunning is a journey, and this is my journey to Sub-40
Due to this video being worked on over the course of a month, there's a variety of editing issues, such as the mic quality getting worse in sections, and the clips i use being pixelated. Sorry if it's annoying.

I did this playthrough live on twitch! www.twitch.tv/00ffaa Also i realized after makingthem thumbnail: there's actually 9 pokemon, my dumbass forgot about dewgong And something i neglected in the video: if i'd played through Pokemon Ultra Moon instead of Ultra Sun, i could have gotten an Amaura as well. Caffeine withdrawal is brutal, when i went down from 3 coffees a day to none (but then back up to a few a week now) i was STRUGGLING for a while lmao. Definitely a good thing to do overall though, ggs on the run and best of luck for your celeste speedrunning journey

I believe I commented once before talking about it but I like how you edit and think you're skilled in that department. I wish I had some banger advice to drop but I'm cursed with the inability to commit to decisions and as a result have not tested any of the ideas and processes that would think to recommend and cannot do so in good faith. I will say just a potential viewer I would not have clicked this thumbnail title combo if I didn't already know your channel, and kind didn't get the vibe of your video from the thumbnail. I cannot really suggest alternatives or ideas though other than some stuff I see in successful videos in the like speedrun niche are: timers in thumbnail (eezy peezy does this like every video), focusing on a quirk of a speedrun like for example maybe for video you say like "this pokemon speedrun is 30% cutscene" and have like the thumbnail play off of that. And open immediately into like "In this video I'll be learning to speedrun pokemon mystery dungeon adventure squad, a game whose world record run is 30% cutscene" delivering on what your thumbnail said, then use that idea to transition into essentially most of the video as is now by going like "you may think that would make it easier, but there are still some surprising challenges ahead". I can say that like every 1M video i've seen in the niche does something similar (documentary styled stuff, eezy peezy, old smallant but now he just does challenge runs with the same format. Best of luck in future videos, and for what it's worth I did actually like the content of this video and watched all of it~!

Thank you for the game! Took me about half an hour to 100% it with S rank on every level! I played through it trying my best to preserve material at first, but then I figured out I can just trade away all my pieces and be safe from checkmate. I think my favorite part was on the 9th level when the enemy board had no king which hinted that this wasn't the final battle, or maybe it was the 4th level where there was an empty well (how symbolic?). I do think I wish that the enemy leaders would be less willing to trade themselves for one of my minor pieces, as I was able to beat the final level in 5 moves once. I moved my rook onto the center square blocking all the teleport sports while defending it with the bishop, and then the witch took my rook and died which was admittedly funny anyways. Regardless, I had a lot of fun playing, particularly enjoying the sound design of taking & moving my pieces. I look forward to any future games you create in the future!

Your videos lack atmosphere. It doesn't feel as significant as it can and should be, it feels like every part of the video is of same importance and the music and your voice sound very similar in every part of the video. And because this video is so short it doesn't have enough time to build up that tension. I am not a youtuber or smth but thats just my expirience and toughts. I enjoyed it a lot, keep going ☺️

I did a kind of casual attempt at a speed run today, got sub hour and really enjoyed it. I’ve decided that I want to go for sub 40 so my plan is to learn the entire run backwards so that when I get to the later chapters I’ll be as familiar with them as the earlier chapters. It seems to be working well so far but it’s definitely going to take me a while to learn every chapter and all the speed strats

I find that a lot of videos tend to go on and on about something, but this was short and concise, and answered the question this video was based off of in what was essentially a paragraph instead of an essay. I'm surprised that you aren't more well known, the quality was great, and I subscribed so can get to see more of your work :>

Nice video! Make sure to record at a higher bitrate in OBS so that the footage doesn't look blocky when going quickly. It does increase file size quite a bit though. 8000kbps should be the max you would ever need for 1080p

Something I noticed in your chess ROG video is that you can go faster in the first room of chapter 4. When you get to the bottom part of the cloud, dash a little before you jump as it gives a great speed boost and still gives you enough height to clear the screen.
