Congrats! I'll say this video was really interesting since your approach to speedrunning is radically different from mine, I got sub 40 some time ago and have been recently working to practice a shit ton for sub 35, and struggle because I cant help myself from trying all of the hard strats. If I can get a clean run, I could probably get a sub 11 or even 10 summit and demolish my pb, but alas i still am working on the consistency to make that viable. This video is really nice for me, since i probably need some kind of paradigm shift if i wanna actually finish a run sometime in the next few months lmaoo

It’s so funny to me because for ME (my current best is only a 52:25 but Im getting consistent pbs by whole minutes) my temple A and B side strat was a perfect mirror of yours. I thought “A side is easier and more consistent, but slightly slower, a worthwhile trade for me” and so I did A side, getting consistently 10 minutes. Then one day I just decided to finally learn box/bubsdrop and at least TRY the B side instead. This instantly dropped my mirror temple time to ≈8 minutes. The more i learned how to plan around seekers and time saving strategies for the second half of the level has me consistently getting 6:15-6:45 temple times, my fastest being a 6:13 (.726).

Congrats on beating the 40 minute barrier! I did this myself only a couple months ago and was fairly satisfied with my run being a 39:08 and sort of stopped focusing on speedrunning and shifted my focus back to doing goldens. This video is making me want to go back and improve my run so thanks for ruining the next 7 days of time that I hyperfocus on improving my run.
