Watched it with my girlfriend. She fell asleep during the runtime, I was hooked. I’d say this is a dark comedy horror flick. Very good. Especially the animated part midtime was beautiful
Yes, you can attach a lot of descriptive words to this film, it has a lot to offer. Totally agree with the animated part, I loved it!
Heart for you ❤
🐇
Interesting points and details. As a Slam Dunk fan myself, I’m glad to hear you liked the film. It’s true there’s some cultural background to consider. The game they played was the Inter High (Inter High School Basketball Tournament), a significant event in Japan. It’s every high school basketball player’s dream to participate and win it all.
Thanks for dropping by and providing some insight. It is obvious in the film that this match is REALLY important for the teams and I am really happy that this film is so popular and successful despite not being some olympic level final or something of the sort because yes, if you're that teenager then this game IS the olympics for you. It's cool to read that this is a big event for all society in Japan and I'm glad that such young people get that kind of support.
Good vid
emma won an oscar bc she should her naughty parts for the harvey weinsteins of hollywood
If that's all you took away from the film I think you were not paying attention to ALL the other things in there. There was also a lot more to her performance than just that.
I have never been a fan of horror, but once in a while I will enjoy a few here and there. “Nope” was a nice surprise.
I enjoyed this film. I watched it with my two daughters. I will admit, I shed a tear during a few parts. I think that “Anxiety” was dialed in. Great review! Subscribed!
Thank you for dropping the comment! I'm jealous about the experience but maybe if I watch it in a few years my daughter will have the right age to make it even more relatable for me. I'm really happy for you, it's wonderful to have such experiences enhanced by our kids!
Thank you.Really.Thank you.
I had fun with this one! Great performances by Alyla Browne, Anya Taylor Joy and especially Chris Hemsworth. Some riveting action and great world building. A solid prequel to Fury Road. Great review!
Agree on all these points, the film would not be the same without these actors! Thanks for stopping by
What Wes Ball did with this movie astounded me! Continuing the story of Caesar by exploring his legacy as an almost religious figure was brilliant. On top of that the VFX were immaculate and the performances just as impressive. An epic return to this world that has me wanting a lot more! Great review man 👍
Thanks for dropping by, absolutely agree with all the points you made, can't wait to see what's next in the Apes franchise
watched this for a response essay, this helped heaps, thank you
That's really cool, glad my video could be of help and all the best with the essay!
This wad absolutely awsome !!! A true depiction of hell , stop motion realy makes you feel realy uneasy 👌
I love stop motion when it's done like this, really captivating
I didn’t mind part 1 but part 2 went downhill fast. Action could be cool but I didn’t care about anything that was happening. With 4hrs of screen time Snyder still failed to get me attached to these characters. I was just bored. I’m done with this franchise now. Great review!
It is quite incredible how little we feel for these characters after four hours, you're right. We'll see what the future holds in store for this franchise, but hopefully something better - if people are still going to be interested, which is unlikely. Thanks for stopping by!
Only just realised at 02:40 when I list the budgets I accidentally listed the box office earnings instead! The budgets were: Rise $93 million Dawn $170 million War $150-152 million Sorry about that!
the most unrealistic part of this movie is that a prostitute falls in love with a drunk.. or that a prostitute falls in love with anyone for that matter
Great review, thank you for sharing.
This movie was amazing
This movie was amazing
It is a Spaniard movie with Uruguayan and Argentine actors
Lisan al Gahib!
You’re forgiven for the Spanish. The way you pronounced it (la suciedad de la nieve) sounds like the dirt of the snow.
Oh no, that's horrible and now I feel so bad haha 🙈 I'll try better in future, thanks for letting me know!
Extraordinary film and amazing story. The Best ever.
For Uruguay you can do the same gesture that you do for Italians… we had a massive Italian immigration wave that implanted their gesticulation in our people.
Really? That's amazing!
You did a pretty good job with the pronunciation 😊
Thanks, another comment said the way I pronounced it made it sound more like dirt of the snow which I feel bad about, although that it kind of funny
@@flyingwiener8946 not at all!!! people say weird stuff online LOL
This is a Spanish film, European film, not Uruguayan...
Indeed it’s a Spanish production .
I'm aware of that and I'm pretty sure I did not say it's a Uruguayan film, only that it has a lot of young Uruguayan and Argentinian actors. In any case, a tremendous film that I cannot recommend enough, even as a non spanish speaker! (I watch with subtitles)
@@flyingwiener8946 I get the message. You are correct .
@@robertoperezcastro6130 all is good, I really do want to know when I get things wrong. Thanks for dropping by 👍
I dont think there is a particual gesture for spanish. As there are more than 100 accents of spanish in spain and all the américas. And each have their specifics
They play the River plate gesture very well. And its totally different from across the Andes here in Chile. Which is conveyed in the movie. The Chileans show a colder demeanor. The Strauch cousins even look like a typical Germanic South American descendants, much more composed .
@@robertoperezcastro6130 you mean accent?
@@marcelsirer the accent and the gestures. River Plate people are much more extrovert in their speech. Chileans are generally more inwards with the movement of hands and arms. You can see it with the muleteer, a humble man who is also a gentleman, holding his hat against his chest when he’s at the police station. The air force colonel calmly realizing the news and placing the pin. That’s Chilean. The radio where the survivors hear Nando and Roberto is clearly Chilean. They pronounce “uruguayo” with a soft Y, as opposed to River plate people who stress it out . You can’t tell but also the Argentine actors do a great job doing Uruguayan accents. You can tell the difference if you compare the actor who plays Canessa in the film and in any interview he holds.
@@robertoperezcastro6130 Yes argentinians do a lot of gesturing. Because as the host of the video said. Is there a gesture for spanish as there is on italian? And Buenos Aires speech is pretty much Italian. Not so much in Uruguay that is more influenced from Spain. They do a lot of gesturing but is not "the gesture" for spanish. As there are so many countries and ways of speaking it, I Dare say there is not a gesture for spanish. There could be many and from very specific regions not one gesture for the spanish language.
@@marcelsirer of course not, there is not one particular gesture from the Spanish . I live in central Chile and my accent and gestures is a little different from my cousins in southern Chile.
Es una película española basada en una historia sobre uruguayos, con actores uruguayos creo.
Sí, los actores son uruguayos y argentinos
This movie was a chore to get through. I tried watching twice and fell asleep both times.
Blue Eye Samurai was definitely a nice surprise. In my opinion the best show of 2023. *waves from Simmering* 👋
You are the first non-Japanese who pronounces the word samurai correctly. Most say sam-u-rai not sa-mu-rai. Thank you.
Thank you! I do try to pronounce things correctly. That's just how I've always said the word. Perhaps it helps living in a German speaking country where I'm more used to pronouncing a "u" that way
I just watched it and really enjoyed all the visual nods to Tim Burton’s Batman movies.
Love all the Resident Evil movies
My favorite childhood film. Still love watching it as an adult. The Grand High Witch is great
I love this movie so much. They released a nice 4k Steelbook in the states and I still enjoy it and the fact they built the hospital from scratch was great.
Loved this movie I have the poster hung up in my garage. That ending is wild.
Visually this movie was very good and the action was entertaining. Other than Alfie and JDW though I didn’t care for any other character. The storyline also wasn’t the best for me either.
I found myself caring for Ken Watanabe's character but true, it's basically about the main two. It does very much seem like something we have seen before in parts, but the way it's done was satisfying to me. Thanks for stopping by with a comment!
I liked this one. It wasn’t overly horror. The ending had me laughing though.
I really liked it. A good balance of comedy, action, and it’s nothing crazy with the story but, it works and there was no pacing issues. Subbed 👍
I agree to all those points, especially the pacing which I forgot to mention in my review. Thanks for dropping a comment 👍
Amazing topics!!
Wow very nice video!!!🌹🌹
Come and see - is THE best anti-war movie ever. Nothing compares. Nothing comes even close. To me, this one is just another "look how bad the Germans were" type of movie. I'd be interested to see what these movies would look like in a US military context. Like black people used as cannon fodder and then never again mentioned anywhere in history. Or just even all the poor and low-income kids getting recruited for the same fait. But at least they reaped some of the glory. However, this isn't a bad "anti-war" film. I actually enjoyed it.
Come and see is on the list, but I'm dreading it a bit too, in case it's too much but that exactly is the point I guess
I only just noticed I messed up in the editing at the start and didn't change the title from the previous film review (Spider-Man) - apologies! I did it in a hurry before I went on holiday, serves me right 🙈
🙌 *Promo sm*
I wouldn't even rate it, worst film I've ever seen 🤮🤮
A shame that it was so bad for you, hopefully whatever DC film is next for you is better 👍
Hllo,breathtaking sharing! colleague, )
Thank you, much appreciated!
What is sad is the fact that the only reason those young men were shooting at each other is the fact that their governments put guns in their hands and forced them to.
Even on a basic level, I will always refuse to understand how governments can just send (young) people to war without batting an eye. Here especially they were so young.
While not my favourite of the trilogy I really enjoyed it. Still had the classic Guardians humour while also going more dramatic and somber than the previous entries. Rocket’s backstory was tragically and beautifully told. Great review, man!!
The first will likely stay my favourite but they closed the trilogy well with this. Agree with all your points, thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment!
I still can't believe how did Nick Cage managed to give such a stellar performance worthy of Oscar. LLV is probably one of the saddest movies I've ever watched and I felt like somebody kicked me in the stomach for hours.. Oh yes, the music score is underrated. I think it's one of the top 5 scores in movie history. Some of the songs were composed and played by the director Micheal Figgis.
It's certainly hard to watch this film and it to not affect you in some way.
