Tesla: Most Dangerous Brand | 23 Most Unsafe Cars for Occupants!
Is Tesla really one of the most dangerous car brands on the road? A recent study by iSeeCars has sparked intense debates, placing Tesla at the top of its ‘most dangerous car brands’ list. But how did they come to this conclusion? And what does it mean for Tesla drivers and EV enthusiasts?
In this video, I break down the study, which analyzed fatal accident rates using crash data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and miles driven. We’ll explore:
- The methodology behind the study
- A full breakdown of the 23 most deadliest vehicles for occupants
- Why Tesla’s Model Y and Model S made the list
- Key trends in vehicle safety, including small cars, performance vehicles, and SUVs
Spoiler: It’s not just about the cars-it’s also about driver behavior, design factors, and risky conditions.
Whether you're a Tesla fan, a car enthusiast, or just curious about road safety, this video is packed with insights and surprising revelations.

    Nissan will survive, but they have already lost their way to becoming successful again. They need to stay away from Chrysler, Fiat, stellantis, or what ever the new merger will be called. They have too much focus on profit and not product, that has led Mitsubishi to it's death penalty.

      There was a leaked memo that Nissan has 12-14 months to survive, or else they will fail completely. During last months, even Iphone manufacturer Foxconn (Taiwanese) wanted a stake in Nissan but is on hold now. Hence a merger will happen anyways - most probably with Honda now.

      This is perhaps the most important point. Even in 1999, they were close to bankruptcy and were saved with Renault Nissan Merger. Now that alliance failing, after Carlos Ghosn departure or arrest, 2018, 6 years later Nissan is again in a similar situation fighting for survival.

      Thanks for your comment. After all the comments I received on this video, I will post the stats before and after Nissan alliance with Renault under Carlos Ghosn. The numbers are very promising yet people have a very negative sentiment against Renault, which I am trying to understand. How was Nissan ruined by Ghosn? Could you kindly share some insights. Here are my findings: 1999: Nissan in debt, had sales of around 2.6 million, posted a net income loss of 684 billion Yen, and factories were running at 53 % utilization. 2000: First year after takeover - Nissan posted a profit. 2002: 20% reduction in purchasing costs, supplier base reduced by 40%, capacity increased to 75%, net debt lowest in the last 24 years, net income at 495 billion Yen. However, the negative side, five plants were closed, and the workforce was reduced by up to 21,000 (14%) and Nissan was dictated by Renault. Till 2018: Before Ghosn's departure - Only one year had a negative net income, was 2008, understandably due the global crisis. By 2017, Nissan had reached its highest sales figures - 5.7 million. Post - Ghosn (2018 - 2024) Nissan is again in crisis, selling 38% fewer vehicles at 3.4 million.

      But by 1999, Nissan was already facing bankruptcy. From all the comments I received on this video - people are calling that Nissan made a mistake by merging with Renault under Carlos Ghosn. I will post the stats that I found today but I want to understand why there is a negative sentiment? After Carlos, they brought out Altima and Qashqai - both very popular. How was it a mistake? I would appreciate your reply. Thanks. Thanks for your insights. It would definitely make sense to build up upon each company strengths but as per statement from Honda CEO - they are in a much complex battle with chinese OEMs for EVs and this is an area, where Nissan had early mover advantage with Leaf, but didnt build upon it. Honda is excelling in PHEVs, and the question is - how can they win back the EV market together with Nissan. “The potentially multibillion dollar deal to combat "the rise of Chinese power" was a key driver behind the plan, said Honda's chief executive Toshihiro Mibe. Mr Mibe said a plan to "fight back" needs to be in place by 2030, or they risk being "beaten" by rivals.” - BBC article Btw - Could you kindly share which compromises Nissan had to make - scrap their project, during their alliance with Renault? Apologies for the quick video with minimal research. I typically take my time, but that sometimes leads to outdated topics. I'll post a detailed video with my own research in 2 weeks. I have already started e,g, 2022: 40,000 accidents were fatal in US. Filtering Model year: 2018-2022, 6000 fatal accidents remained, out of which Tesla Model Y had 14 and Model S had 9 fatal accidents, while the Corolla had around 120, yet ranks lower on the iSeeCars list - perhaps due to million miles travelled by them. Thanks for your feedback and stay tuned for numbers in 2 weeks.

      Nope - its not an AI Video. I wrote the script and did all the editing myself and I admit I didnt dig deep in to the data. I published this video quickly because I didn't want it to become outdated like my previous one on Fisker (personally appear there with experts), where I spent months and +300 hours on it only for the topic to lose relevance. Therefore I wasnt even sure if this video will gain any traction. As admitted, I want to deep dive in the next video as I am E.g. I just started looking at FARS numbers - in 2022, there were 95 k accidents in US, 40 k were fatal. Once I filter it down to Model Year 2018 - 2022, there were 6 k fatal accidents and then if I filter it to Tesla: Model Y is 14 accidents and S is 9 accidents. Corolla had around 120 fatal accidents in the same period, yet they are lower on the rankings. Perhaps in two weeks, I will share the findings for all these 23 models, what exact number of crashes happened. Only thing I am unaware of is how many million vehicles these cars drive per year, which iSeeCars has est. data of. Check out my channel in a couple of weeks.

    And you know who is directly responsible for trying their best at pushing away costomers from buying or even considering EVs? -- Dealers! Automotive dealerships depend on customers going back to them for service, inspections, maintenance, reapirs, and so on. They do not get much profit from selling cars. And you know what has minimal maintenance? -- EVs. Dealerships are (unreasonably) afraid of that transition and have been viciously pushing away. customers or artificially increasing the prices of EV to try and make them unappealing. (I have colleagues working at the local VW dealer)

      I work in the eMobility sector myself and have been driving a VW ID.5 for over a year now, covering 25,000 km. I really want to agree that EVs generally have lower maintenance costs, but my experience has been much horrible. I actually took down a video I made about it because I didn’t want to hurt VW in such a challenging time. So far, I’ve had to take my ID.5 to the dealership five times for the same issue: the air conditioning. Each time, I’m advised not to drive even a meter due to the risk of battery fire, as improper cooling could be hazardous when driving or charging. I dont feel safe driving in such situation with my family. "Here comes the pain" Point (WWE Smackdown pun!) is the cost of these repairs: They have cost in total around €13,000-about 20% of the car’s purchase price-with each repair averaging €2,500. This model of ownership isn’t sustainable, honestly. So far I didnt have to take over the costs as this is in warranty but I am worried what will happen after remaining 8 months from warranty period.

      I read the comment again - putting my emotions aside for the problems with my VW ID.5. It is a corner case and usually never happens. But thank you for your insight - it also gives a perspective that the dealers are also blocking the easy transition to emobility by intentionally making them unattractive for potential buyers.

    Vehicle sales in Europe for September: Market DOWN -4.2% BEVs UP +13.9% So it's definitely not that "EV sales are poor". It's simply the board members (the Excel Masturbators) sheer incompetence, lack of forward thinking and ignorance. - VW is closing 3 factories while Tesla received approval for first of three expansions at their Berlin factory. - VW is laying off people and cutting salaries, while Tesla is hieing more and rising pay. - One of them is focused on producing IC vehicles for as long as they can, while the other is only selling EVs. - One of them is among the best selling vehicles in Chine. While the other one lost their dominance in China. - One of them has the best selling vehicle in Europe while not being their home market. While the other one is the second best selling at their home market. Also... Toyota's sales are falling 1.6% per month. They also lost the Chinese market.

      Thank you for your insights! Focusing on just one month, like September 2024, might give an incomplete picture, so here’s a year-to-date (Jan-Sep 2024 vs. 2023) breakdown for the EU market across BEVs, Hybrids, ICE, and the total market: - BEV: 2023 - 1,111,925 (14% market share); 2024 - 1,047,869 (13.1% market share), showing a -5.8% decrease. - Hybrids (excluding PHEVs): 2023 - 2,002,816 (25.2%); 2024 - 2,404,532 (30.1%), with a strong +20.1% growth. - ICE (Petrol + Diesel): 2023 - 3,990,357 (50.2%); 2024 - 3,739,116 (46.8%), a -6.3% decline. - Total Market (including others): 2023 - 7,941,704; 2024 - 7,989,776, showing only a -0.6% shrinkage. So, while the total market is relatively stable, BEVs are down nearly 6%, with hybrids as the only major growth area, up by 20%. This broader perspective helps clarify trends and provides context for interpreting monthly data without risking misinterpretation. Regarding the other points you mentioned, it sounds like you’re passionate about emobility and I understand where you're coming from, and I agree with much of what you said. However I cannot comment today on those exact points, they are feasible enough but I first have to research it properly. Although the claim that Tesla is still hiring and increasing pay, seems difficult to believe in 2024, particularly when few months ago they fired all of their super charger team i.e. around 500 people. As far as I have heard, downsizing is going to happen as Tesla is forced to reduce its prices in China to keep pace with BYD and other competitors, which has a negative effect on their profitability. But thanks for your comment and kindly consider subscribing. I would really appreciate it and look forward to further insightful discussion.

    Tesla is also producing EVs in Europe, even Germany, and makes huge benefits. My 2 cents is that you cannot succeed in such a huge transition without investing all you have. VW as many other carmakers are still investing in petrol cars in 2024, it is pure madness.

    VW have EV’s which have a better build quality than Tesla. They made Billions, it’s just billions less than before. All European car manufacturers have increased prices to a point Europeans don’t want to buy them. 30% tariff import costs on non-European cars, well let’s increase our cars by 30%… If my budget five years ago allows me to buy a five series BMW, that same budget now buys me a one series BMW. I’ll just keep my five series for now, thanks and not buy a new car.

      Great insights-thanks for sharing! I’ve been driving a VW ID.5 for 16 months and covered 25,000 km. The build quality and comfort are top-notch, but as you noted, it’s pricey. When I leased it in Q2 2022, it cost around €60,000 (including 19% VAT). Back then, Tesla’s Model 3 and Y AWD configurations were similarly priced at €60-62k, but within six months, Tesla dropped prices by 20%-suddenly no European EV could match them. Gladly I covered Tesla Germany prices in my price estimation of VW ID.7 in Jan 2023 - base model of Tesla Model 3 is now at €39,990, down from €49,990. Regarding affordability, 100% agreed. I made a video on Germany’s Stagnating Car Market. I analyzed over 20 years of data and found that from 2000-2019, a new car averaged around 67% of an annual salary. By 2022, that figure shot up to 87%, making it harder for people to buy new cars. I’ll share the link in a separate comment to ensure this one stays visible. On tariffs, Germany’s resistance to EU tariffs on Chinese EVs likely aims to protect its market share in China, where competition is fierce. If you haven’t already, consider subscribing-I’d love to hear your insights on future videos!

    The root issue here is how false narratives destroy society. The false narrative of a climate crisis resulted in the German government subsidizing battery-electric hybrids. This changed the competitive landscape away from Germany's competitive strength. Tesla took up much market share as did others. At the end of the day, the country-wide effort to virtue signal resulted in the weakening and further demise of their own country. With the recent pull back of battery-electric subsidies the number of sales of those cars has plummeted but it may be too late.

    • @e-techvolution
      @e-techvolution Місяць тому

      You raised compelling points-thank you! While I don’t believe the climate crisis is entirely a false narrative, let me research it, understand the voices "for" and "against" it, so that I can have a better discussion. That said, there’s no question that climate policy urgency has played a huge role in shifting the current landscape. Germany's government targets and EU regulations pushed OEMs away from their core strengths like ICE vehicles into the EV sector, where major players like Tesla already held strong positions. Beyond policy, strategic choices by European automakers added further challenges like VW’s investments in software, maps, and infotainment. VW’s software branch, CARIAD, launched only in 2020, has faced delays in adequate SW launches that held back models like the Audi Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan EV for up to two years. Now, VW is even considering a partnership with Rivian to help address these issues, with CARIAD future being uncertain. You’re spot-on about Tesla leveraging EV incentives and its first-mover advantage in production. Their 20% price cuts in early 2023 left many EU brands struggling to compete, especially as Tesla offers highly competitive charging rates for its drivers. For owners of non-Tesla EVs in Germany, charging often costs as much as, or more than, gasoline over 100 km if one doesn't have home charging options. Thank you for sharing your insights! If you haven’t subscribed, please consider it. I’d love to continue this discussion and learn from your perspective in future videos.

      Absolutely-this hits close to home! Working in the automotive industry in Germany, specifically on internal combustion components, I vividly remember discussions (2017-2018) we’d have about Tesla. At the time, we saw Tesla as overly ambitious, almost dismissing them because we believed that making luxury cars in limited numbers was one thing, but mass-producing affordable cars was an entirely different challenge. We were convinced they wouldn’t survive long-term. Fast-forward to now, and Tesla’s early entry plays entirely in their favor. They’ve had years to refine quality, software, and features, with no real and demanding expecations from them. They had luxury to set expectations and benchmarks well before 2020. Meanwhile, VW is now under intense pressure to pivot to e-mobility because of regulatory targets, but they’re finding themselves in an uphill battle. They lack robust software solutions, the necessary tech, and they’re serving a large customer base with high expectations around comfort, pricing, and after-sales support. To add to this, VW now faces direct comparisons to Tesla in areas like software and innovation-where Tesla has a major head start and it doesnt help either. The complacency in understanding the market dynamics played a huge role in where we are today.

      There is no EV take over in Europe. Only 13% of new cars in EU sold in 2024 are EV and most of them are company cars. To implement EV you have to force them like forbid other cars. Easy to implement in a comunist country like China

      A very valuable information. After your comment I did the research and found out that in 1913, Ford hired more than 52,000 people to keep a workforce of only 14,000. Such high was the turnover rate, as people didnt like the repetitive work, 9 hrs a day. By 1914, we informed that employees are part of profit sharing, increased the wages from $2.25 to $5, reduced working hours from 9 to 8 and this contributed massively to the success of Ford. Thanks for commenting. Appreciate it!

      Thank you for your honest feedback; I really appreciate it. You mentioned: - Shorter videos . Avoid repetitive information Is there anything else that bothered you as a viewer and failed to meet your expectation? E.g., background music, speaking pace, animations, interviews? I want to improve and understand how to make my content better. Explanation for repetition: I initially uploaded Parts 1 and 2 together. Part 1 didn't gain much interest, capping at 330 views, while Part 2 only reached 800 views. I read on Reddit that part 2 had an extremely poor intro. I revised the intro, but the video still underperformed, with viewers saying it felt too negative and I realized people were only interested in Part 2 and a very small % went back to watch part 1. On my third attempt, I added music and included Fisker's background (a repetitive 1-minute 15-second segment) in Part 2 for context. At first it performed much better but despite these changes, it only reached 1,150 views. I'm feeling lost after over 300 hours of work with limited results. Therefore, I genuinely want to improve. I will try perhaps again with short video.

    MKDHBUVWXYZ isnt stupid. He knows what software rollouts are. He used his wide reach to help tank the company before they could finish their software rollouts. Anyone familiar with the company knew the plan to roll out 1.11...2.0...3.0..4.0 over the course of the year. Instead he purposely proceeds to review a vehicle that was incomplete and present that version to his audience of over 10 million. Anyone saying that had no impact on putting the final nails in the coffin is kidding themselves. The disorganization of the company led up to that moment. Fisker is poor at communicating and responding... And MKDHBCDEFG responded with Jaded impatience and bias. Meanwhile he clearly ignores the flaws of the bigger players he reviewed even though the Rivian and Cybertruck flaws were well publicized. The impact was a snowball effect where every copycat reviewer followed suit and rode the wave. Meanwhile Fiskers daughter in charge of media, has no counter response or damage control, essentially just watching the company slide further downhill.

    • @e-techvolution
      @e-techvolution 5 місяців тому

      When analyzing a failure, it's important to look beyond the final event and examine the root causes. For example, if a Boeing 737 crashes due to MCAS, you wouldn't just blame MCAS. You'd investigate why it was introduced, why the exisitng plane was designed with flaws and approved, management changes, cost-cutting measures, and training practices etc.. Similarly, while MKBHD's review was the final blow for Fisker, the company had deeper issues. I know that MKBHD is well-aware of software rollouts - I've followed him since 2013, and he has a huge influence with around 1600 videos and 20 million followers and I compiled clips of him for all devices, which I purchased after watching his reviews. Indeed he used a very controversial title that drew significant attention and he never did this before. In my video, (overambitious vs realism) I attached his screenshot of Tesla Roadster from 2017 and a confirmation from him that his car has been delayed by over 4 years. But as a neutral, I will ask you few questions: - Fisker went public in July 2020 at $10/share. By the time the first car was produced in November 2022, it was $7.66, and before MKBHD's review in February 2024, it dropped to $0.63 - a 94% decline. - Target delivery for 2023 was 42,000 cars - Fisker had 65,000 preorders and Magna had the capacity and yet nearly 10,000 were delivered. Revenue lost due to this in 2023 is at least $1.5 billion, which could have supported in keeping stockholders and FO owners happy, all while onboarding service partners to support. Dont you think here lies the biggest problem? Also regarding Family involvement - If Natasha wasnt able to respond to MKBHD, the question is why she was in this role then? Honestly I left out so much from my video regarding marketing as video got too long. I have plenty of screenshots from paid twitter accounts who were only there to promote positive news, such as Fiskerati, FISKERWHALE and others. This pattern is similar to what happened in 2012 when Geeta Fisker hired a PR firm to save Fisker's reputation. After the recent collapse, Fiskerati shut down, and other Twitter handles changed their names. Isn't this part of the problem - the wrong focus?
