Fixing skin tones is not easy, they’ll have to make the entire design fit the skin tone and I think it’s easier to do with lighter skin tones. And it’s A DAMN GAME. They don’t owe us people of colour, yet people talk like they do. Natlan and sumeru are *based* on irl stuff, dosn’t mean it has to be excactly like irl versions. And it’s a fictional world at the end of the day.

Just a few things about the representation fiasco 1. Am I the only one with a brain to understand that there is nothing dumber than comparing the skin color of real people with drawings ? 2. Also, usually, the character skin colors is better in 3D than 2D. HECK it even apply for the white character. 3. Do I understand why y'all want representation ? Yes. But you need to know that they won't always represent a culture faithfully. Heck, I'm french (unfortunate, I know), and....French culture was not THAT represented, it was mainly used for representation. And yet, I don't think you saw any of us complain. 4. I saw some people having problem with pronounciation. So I'm just going to say it, but holy shit y'all can't pronounce anything from Fontaine and Mondstadt right.. So please, let's not talk about pronounciation problem.... 5. So, that something I hate, but also quite a lot of people are now complaining about the VA not being the right ethnicity. 6. I also some people talking about the erasure....But it was to be expected. I must say, as a brazlian at least for me, these characters are dark skinned characters, well some are more " pardo" which is the word for the middle ground, but one of them is a dark skin character, so from my point view the video is entirely bogus, but i also know that its not wrong from the point of view of others and both interpretations are correct

The lack of diversity in genshin is such a shame. There are many beautiful hairtypes, bodyshapes, and skin tones but we don't get any of that! I feel like it's also damaging from a character design and story view. having more hair types, body shapes, skintones, scars and wrinkles could be a wonderful way to tell or say something about a character but genshin doesn't take advantage of any of that! Take Beidou for example, Badass pirate captain woman who can kickass and sail the sea, fought a sea monster to earn her vision. but her character design doesn't have any muscles, or scars, and she's pale as hell for someone who is always outside, it's like her story never happened. Another example is Candace/Kandake. She is the protector of Auru Village, she is in lore a woman who is loving and caring but also physically very strong and ruthless to those who break the rules of Auru village. She is based of a real life black woman (Queen kandake amanirenas). and she just looks like some generic pale pretty half naked lady.

I totally agree with there being a lack of diversity in Genshin, but all I have to say is, this entire drama wouldn't have started if there was a lack of light skinned characters, and if someone tried to speak up about it, they would be called racist.

Jos yhtäkkiä sen oman kumppanin ulkonäkö muuttuu, hänessä ei olekkaan enää niitä asioita joista ennen sai mielihyvää, vie se ison osan suhteesta kun enää ei haluta olla kyseisen ihmisen kanssa samassa sängyssä.
