With 3.3.0 and beyond, you should only use the new Universal Dimmer from the latest driver with the proper settings to match the light you're controlling. If you set the driver to RGB or RGBW, it will enable to native C4 color wheel in the app and it work much better than the old "camera proxy" driver.

I did purchase your latest driver and setting are correct (Set to RGBW) lights are working fine but not color wheel comes up, only the old slider style color changer. Please advice. We upgraded to the new driver just for this purpose of a nice color wheel control. What could be happening? How do we contact you for tech support?

@@aihome242 that's because you're using the wrong driver. You need to replace the old ColorChanger or RGB Dimmers with the new Universal Dimmer and use it on OS 3.3.0+

@@Domaudeo Please read my messages, I have stated that I am using the new driver indeed, yes I dropped in the Universal Dimmer which is what we just purchased from Driver Central. New Universal Dimmer in project and set to RGBW and it does not work. Other than that I don't understand what else to do. Thanks again

@@aihome242 what does not work? If you want the color wheel to appear you can get it via the app by either long-pressing the load (iOS) or taping the ">" at the end of it (android). You can check one of the many trainings that shows how to use the new C4 color proxy, my driver is no different. Also, there is no more "color wheel" as C4 dropped it in favor of clunky color "sliders" starting with 3.3.3. If you can actually get the color wheel/sliders and they do not change the color of the light, that mean another issue with the configuration of the driver.

Yes but for some reason it only work using the 3.5mm serial ports, not the DB9.

I got it to operate on C4 Core5 but as soon as I started the sequencer using audio tigger, it will crash the processor within seconds! Haven’t been able to come with any resolution.

Yes you can, using the Master Dimmer that act as a virtual dimmer with proportionnal R-G-B dimming or as a real dimmer when your fixture has this built-in fixture, usually using an extra channel for brightness. Hope that help...

"RGBW" is just a requirement for 4 channel, any 4 or more channel decoder will work and many are available in your country (check on Amazon). You can also use two 3-channel decoder, it will work as well, you will use 3 channels on the first decoder and one on the second, they are so cheap it does not matter to "loose" the two extra channels.

No, it will not work with the Enttec ODE, you need to use the Engineering Solutions DMX Engine. But if you already have an existing DMX ligthing kit installed, you can keep it and just connect to the DMX Engine and you will be able to control it with Control4 with all the features this driver has to offer.

The Virtual Room for RGB Effect is populated with the new Effect Switch that is bundled with version 1.1. This virtual Effect Switch allow to easily build and trigger nice color or chase effects over any channels in the DMX Universe, not just one RGB segment. This switch use highly optimized algrorythm to allow to run multiple effects on different DMX channels (just use more than one Effect Switch), so you can run a color loop in the basement while you run a smooth color chase in the lounge for example.
