That's the Aquarian spirit 😊
Love both of them but unfortunately johnnys a champagne socialist and morrissey is far more realistic about the world.
i feel like it's probably against phil elvreum's belief system to be on a podcast "presented by" amazon, but i'm glad we have this interview
Narcissistic, semi-psychotic So manipulated, I bought it Every time, but not this time You gaslit my world, it was burning Had to leave before it stopped turning So happy I could cry 'Cause you're not mine You're somebody else's (Somebody else's) And it doesn't even break my heart You're somebody else's (Somebody else's) And I pray for them, whoever they are Everyday with you was rock bottom Leavin' you saved me, my God Look at me blossom You're somebody else's problem
Still talking about being proud of himself for being a strong man for having a huge superstar successful wife?? 😮 😠 You had it all
A better shitty apartment hits real close. 😂
21:44 wow! Parents never believe in anything for that!
I love to hear Rob's changes in views as we age. Definitely relate.
When she is looking for a word and she rolls her eyes is the must beautiful thing in this planet. I am super found of you Esperanza Spalding.
Wow, I love this
So many musicians come from church
"Opens up"?
She is brilliant. One of the few artists I post on my IG. The live performance of album was so good. Please do another. Songwriting like giving birth? I am a composer, I guess there are parallels? It is a long process to get a beauty tho 😊
She’s inauthentic as hell. I kind of enjoy how bold she is with, leaves a wake of broken relationships behind her and just plays victims. Also her album sales didn’t even crack top twenty so maybe the act is wearing thin.
Cry me a River. Keep it in your pants and you wouldn’t have half your issues.
Esparanza is like Mystique. Can present different expressions of music, skilled, her progressions that are unexpected etc Love her music.
Pumped up kicks first time I heard it wow! Still today I listen to it
Great song!
I wish I could meet her .
They needed a big ol token
They literally helped me become who I am today. I discovered them when I was 12, 10 years ago! So many different stages of life... to think my first kiss was while listening to "Get home" :0 My first tattoo was a triangle, from Bad Blood era. I'm really grateful for all the time their music made me feel less alone
UA-cam algorithm sent me here. Very interesting
Esperanza keeping the spark of human dignity and vibrational excellence alive and well. Most inspiring!!!!!! Love!
I love this a lot about what you're saying just saying that right now
BS on the Officer training.
That’s awesome. Great story
My introduction to Esperanza Spalding was her Austin City Limits concert and since then I have been a fan. So refreshing and a powerful new force in Jazz.
Remembering the early 90's is sounding old???? Whaaaaat??? 🤯🤯🤯 😂🤣
shes well beyond that now with lots of money and nice homes upstate, in los angeles and in majorca where she and her young husband live between during the year. 🎉
I really appreciate listening to musicians like Esperanza, who are keeping their curiosity open to be the student in wanting to learn and challenge themselves. Most mainstream pop artists don't take that leap into expanding their soul and their musical experience. They get caught up in the limelight of the moment that is artificially created by the fake music machine.
What was the name of that record she talks about at the beginning ?
I love Bush
Beautiful, authentic, vulnerable and empowered. More wisdom in her little finger than my whole body! Thank you x
Wow, Raz is unbearable.
I've seen worse ! Interviewers tend to have self-esteem issues. They seek validation in the talent / quality / whatever of their interviewees.
Jealous much
I remember that comment in Rolling Stone but I remember a different photo and the caption being something like “the road goes on, and apparently so does the buffet line”
I am one of Fannie Lou Hamer 's nieces and im honored to hear this wonderful being mention my aunt but also know that I've been a fan of her music and listening to this beautiful conversation explains why ❤
👑
Eaperanza is making seriously profund statements, all the while being: beautiful, a lantern of insight, with total clarity of critical thought. I am evermore impressed! She is the type of person to have an intelligent conversation with for hours: emerging energized. Being a musical virtuoso was not enough for her. Forget triple threat: this generational being has talents to the Nth power.
Gavin soul mate always in rossdale heart.
The way he describes meeting John for the first time gave me chills because I 100% believe it was that magical a moment for them. And yes John was 1000% that charismatic in real life. I’ve heard so many stories from so many people who had met him and they all say you could feel his presence whenever he entered the room
Love Gavin ❤
Music first, lyrics follow. Cool. This is how it was for me and my writing partner years ago.
Good man ❤
His Tabitha’s Secret songs were much better than he gives himself credit for.
i love you gavin your music was always a motivator for me to get through tough times
Where Are You, Jay Bennett?
you're a great interviewer. Howard Stern level.
This is the best interview I have ever listened to with Miranda! I love listening to her stories. She's my all-time favorite female country singer. May the Lord continue to bless her. I didn't want this interview to end!!!
Amazing interview! Great interviewer and of course, Gavin, what an awesome musician !! Thanks to both of you !
Deep calleth unto DEEP...😎💯🎵🎶🎼
