Very informative
I'm starting to dip my toe into fabrication etc - This video was useful, cheers bud.
Nice job 👏🏿 👍🏾
Advice for welding laps with pulse spray? I get edgemelt bad or my weld is concave. Lap is thin to thick its easy to edge melt.
Great vid, my college shows me nothing so this is great thank you
Iv been trying this with stainless steel 304 using 308 flux core but having real problem with penetration on the bottom plate it bonds to the edge of top plate perfectly but does not stick or even melt into the bottom plate anyone know what I’m doing wrong about the same current 23 on 1.5mm stainless
Thank you sir
Nicely explained Harry...thank you.....
Thanks Harry - just the helpful video I needed to see before deciding whether to buy an angle grinder or not (which is a bit scary, tbh!). So many of the other videos are crazed heavy metal loving blokes from across the pond, which was not the calm sensible safety vibe I was going for, but you hit the right note. Thanks
Thank you for the informative video!
Thankyou
That’s wrong buddy, your bead isn’t flush with the bottom one
very professional. I am a cutting wheel manufacturer in China, and I do cutting tests every day. Have time to communicate~~
What was the amperage?
23.6 Volts, 156 AMPS, 11 Meters per Minute.
@@weldphd why so hot ?
Great job on that welding, I would say if you heat up the start area of that weld with a butane torch you will find the welding process will be easier as the aluminium will be warm and get that consistent weld throughout the whole piece. Also if you want to minimise soot try cranking the argon to 30 or so. Yes you will go through your argon but sometimes it gives you a cleaner weld.
Too much rhetoric and not enough "Cut to the Chase".
This video says nothing
Clear n simple!!!
First of should have watched this vid before starting. I got stabbed by piece of metal on thigh.
Nice 👍
Thank you very much Sir! I'll be making the same weld tomorrow for an improved support for my commercial grade compressor. Best wishes! nd I find it strange that there were no comments here. Your adjustments are a bit different (amps, volts) than here in Orlando, Florida, U.S.A. but I understood you. Thanks again.
His teaching method is different, it seems he knows his stuff, but he does is very differently than what most may he used to.
I hope it's a joke ! When you hear when you're welding , damn , that's not good setings !! Wirespeed and voltage ...
exactly. Too much wirespeed....or it needs more voltage....
Very well presented .... Thank you.
Cheaper than oxy-acetylene???
Depends on how much your using it and the duty cycle on your power source.
Hello Harry. What is your volts and wire speed for 1.3mm MIG wire 75% argon and 25%CO2. Thanks
Hello Harry. What is your volts and wire speed for 1.3mm MIG wire 75% argon and 25%CO2. Thanks
Hello bro. What volts and wire speed do you use for 1mm MIG filler wire? Thanks
Hi sorry for the slow reply. I would be looking at between 24-25 volts at around 9-10 mpm depending on your machine. This may want to be higher if your looking for spray transfer rather than dip.
Hallo brother i from indonesia
Thank you dude i have an interview today and have to do some test pieces your videos help a lot so thank you for your time!
I hope the interview went well and you get the job.
Great information Thanks mate
someone advice me when you cut , you cut from far to near not the other way around , and again lift the unit and do the same , however you did it well
Congratulations on a well presented and very informative video. No gimmicks, just right to the point, loads of information and a great voice. Thank you very much!
i just started welding in school and i hope to make it my future job once i graduate. Thank you so much for the help. I already feel good about my welding, my teacher says im in the same area as the elite welders in other schools. but your video will help me so much. theres always room for improvements even when your already set straight forward. Anyways enough of my rambling. Thank you so much
Glad to be of some help. Good luck with your future career.
You might be able to get a lens for your recording device that shows you welding, more like what it looks under the hood. Not cheap though.
3/16" to 1/4". and your weld sounds like that... you do not know how to set your machine...
good, informative video. answers all the questions i had regarding the different discs.
Good advice thanks buddy. Also nice to hear metric terminology 👍
Cheers mate. Just starting out and your video is great. Ta
Not a problem, glad to be of help. Your planned journey looks like an exciting adventure. Good luck.
@@harrysweld8280 Thank you. Yeah, its that actual van I am repairing. The chassis at the rear is all rusted through so working on getting it back to perfect standard.
level 2 betch
Wow! Interesting video. Well done. I also got a new video. Come in and be sure to take a look, and express your opinion - this is very important. You can also subscribe if you like the channel and there are many new videos.Good luck.
@Harry's Weld the safety check on valves etc...is this done every time you would weld? Or just best practise every now and then?
It's always worth checking the equipment over before use. If you are not the only person using it, then you can't be sure of the condition the last person has left it in. In which case I would definitely give it the once over.
Nice job mate! Great content👍
So helpful seeing how the experts really do it - well done Harry!
