You need no criticism! You spoke from the heart. You helped a lot of people maybe saved a life sadly many people consider suicide as they're alternative. Thanks for taking the time!
Growing up in the '60s and not understanding what these feeling even mean. Therapist diagnosed me as being homosexual (there is a book -- "DSM-5" is the latest edition -- psychologists use to assign an illness with a code) when I was 25 years. Life's been tough.
We are always our own harshest critics. Of course it's your truth and of course say it was terrible all you want but a lot of us really like the raw nature of your coming out video. Again thanks to the UA-cam algorithm for always bringing good coming out stories that have been buried on UA-cam to the Forefront during pride month and National Coming Out day. I'm writing this on June 6th 2024 and I've never seen either of your videos before. Like many other people are commenting I'd love to see how your time in the Air Force went and where life has led you to this day. Thanks for these Dustin.
10yrs later... you can always count on the UA-cam algorithm recommending coming out videos, that you haven't seen, recocomended during Pride month and on National Coming Out day. Great videos...would like to see more and find out where life has lead you.

No question it's really tough especially when you have known for a long time. Being non-hetero is not a choice, the choice is being honest or hiding it.
I don’t adhere to stereotypes in the way I dress and how hairy I am (I love wide brimmed bucket hats or small sun hats, and loose fitting and baggy pants), but I am still somewhere in the not fully straight category.
Thank you for your beautiful bravery. I to am gay. I believe I have been born that way being gay. I am a twin. Congratulations. I am blessed for the acceptance. The journey is hard ,but being yourself inspires others. Bless you.
I like your point about people being scared of things they don't understand--I guess that's kind of true with some people and COVID vaccines! I appreciate you sharing your story--I came out in my high school yearbook quote in 2020 with "I started high school with straight A's...now I'm not even straight! I'm still me, though!" Super scary decision but I'm glad I did it, and seeing other coming out videos helped me. It is people like you who are inspiring people to own who they are, so I thank you immensely :)
Did you ever go Air Force? After USAF basic & tech training, I had an 6 yr Air Nat'l Guard contract that included TDY working in the Pentagon. Best branch!
That's fantastic with your courage! You're a great model for others. By the way, a bisexual friend of mine told me this, which really helped me: Being Gay is NOT a choice. Being Bisexual IS a choice, i.e., being attracted to both sexes is a CHOICE. You choose either boy or girl. But being Gay, you're only attracted to the same sex (not a choice). Straight people are only attracted to the opposite sex. If a Straight person argues that it's a choice, all you need to say is the following: "You, who are straight, chose to be with the opposite sex. That means you were attracted to BOTH sexes and CHOSE the opposite sex, right?" You'll then hear a pin drop on the carpet, and he or she will be at a loss for words. God does not make mistakes in his infinite wisdom, where a certain percentage of the population is Gay. Why is a certain percentage of the population left handed, while the majority is right handed? Same analogy. Countless Gay, as well as Straight, are loving, caring, sharing, and productive human beings. Period and end of story.
There are all kinds of people no matter what spectrum of attraction is and wherever you fit in the masculine or feminine side of the spectrum. It's okay to be yourself. You are you and the people who care about you and want the best hopefully will be there to listen and love you no matter what. Great video. Sorry for the late reply. Glad that you felt comfortable sharing your thoughts on here and to your friends and brothers.
I want you to know a lot of my family is welders and they are married too woman and what you said about that young kid that you said that has autism spectrum I want you to know that I have down syndrome and I am going to start ministry known as everlasting life ministries end it is focused on what you just said the ministry that I have is for those of us that is under the act of self advocacy and special needs I am a part of this and I appreciate your story And the ministry that I am after is not about religion at all there will be Bible studies and also about my experience with self advocacy and me as being a special-needs man that has his own apartment you should check in with L arch it is a place that you might want to look into
u are a real person do what u gotta do & come out to the closes to u first & family ect BUT the main thing of all is YOU are still YOU !! if others condemn you find other friends - good luck i mean it take care

A lot of people didn't know I was either I went through puberty in 6th grade and I knew what was going on with myself with knowing that I was gay and everything but I really didn't know what it was at first it was rough didn't have any role models that's what was the bad thing was it was kind of all right I didn't come out until after I came back from the Army couple years after that but I didn't mind not saying anything because well I had dates come over and I slept over if I would have said something to my parents I would have been happening so I enjoyed my privacy it was my thing and I talk to people when I was ready best of my friends and everybody didn't have a clue, it was summer after 7th grade before starting a grade certain people I would see you and then come over to my house I have no problem with it whatsoever my first boyfriend it was awesome unfortunately when I was down the shore at the beach house my uncle stopped by our house my boyfriend was using the pool and using my room I could trust him but my dad found out he was staying at the house it's a three-story house a lot of privacy and my dad found out and I got a bunch of crap for it and I didn't save my boyfriend for a couple years talk to him for a little bit just before I went in the army and I was glad I kept it under wraps, i was put on the spot a couple times when some girls in high school will put the moves on me I would take him out on a date and that was it there was no closeness involved at all couldn't do it, After seventh grade I knew I was gay I need a little education and I got it from a schoolmate he actually describe some stuff to me like sucking dick? I thought that was just an expression I didn't know people really did it, I didn't even know how to masturbate somebody taught me it was a classmate of mine I was never happier then I fully understood what my life was going to be like.
I wish this guy would make more videos I relate a lot. I’m in high school only have straight guy friends. And I wanna tell them just scared everything will change
Did this sweet dude, ever do any other vids??? I've searched, with no success....although, he isn't the most artulicate guy around, he told a very, hartwarming and touching story...I watched his earlier vid....he is so lucky to have such caring and loving siblings.....he like so many other, LGBT, youth, grew up, feeling like a second class citizen.....I think, his brows and mates, put a lifelong, grin on his sweet face...not all kids are as lucky as him....

People that are internally not fully heterosexual have existed in small proportions in every corner of the earth.
Hey Dustin, I think that it would be great to put out a new video and update everyone with how your life is going. 🙂
Thank you for your beautiful bravery. I to am gay. I believe I have been born that way being gay. I am a twin. Congratulations. I am blessed for the acceptance. The journey is hard ,but being yourself inspires others. Bless you.
I wonder happened to this guy? Is he still on social media? What is this guy doing today?

Denny: "Dustin, I'm sorry!" Tears. Real brotherly love!
When I told my Dad I was gay he said, 'Never mind, son. You'll grow out of it!'
Go back into your closet and stay there.
Come out of the closet since you be looking gay yourself and searching coming out videos.
That one thumbs down lol.

Why are you afraid to tell your parents ? Do you want to have to be worried about that during boot camp ?
