Regarding gear requirements: You can do basically all the content the game has to offer with Exotic gear, EXCEPT for Fractals, which is intended. Now if you would like an explanation: Fractals are basically quick instanced PvE dungeons, that have a mechanic called Agony, which is basically a debuff that deals damage. Now the thing is that fractals have levels (from 0 to 150 if I remember correctly), and the Agony strength scales with that. In order to deal with Agony, you need Agony Resistance (AR), which you get from Agony Infusions, which can be infused ONLY in Ascended Equipment or better (only Legendary is better, but they have the same stats, it's more of an achievement). Why is Agony such a problem? Because if you have around 20 less agony resistance than the recommended amount you basically get insta-killed when you get inflicted with Agony. To put it into perspective, in order to do end-game fractals you NEED about 140 AR, otherwise you just die from the Agony damage tick, which scales as a percentage of your HP, so not much hope in out-healing it. Also, to quote from the wiki "In certain fractals, upon reaching the final area where the boss is, all players will be afflicted with agony (also called an agony check). " This is all quite a lot of hassle for just one type of content, but it is worth noting that there technically is one gamemode that has a gear-check built into it, by design. Soooo, there's that :D

My #1 tip to new players would be to get BlishHUD. (It's an overlay that shows you all the Masteries, Hero Points, etc. in your current map - among other things.) #2 is get the Glider (Heart of Thorns) then Skimmer and Springer mounts (Path of Fire). #3 play the Secrets of the Obscure expansion and work on unlocking the Skyscale mount to use outside the expansion.

I started playing 2 weeks ago and I started a border champion. She is lvl 32 and she is so fun. The mechanics are a little confusing, still apeacilly ong big bosses that are around the road, and they have a bunch of spawns around them. But the healing ability with staves love it. Plus it it makes damage as I hit everything around me. Bonus.... I can't wait to get to lvl 80 and explore fully everything. This game is such a cool experience, a relief from the mindless grind that has no point other than to spend your real money on a "proactive" way (yes, I'm makiing fun of the wow subscription) I also love the fact that expansions matter in here. Unlike other games where past expansions get forgotten. WoTLK love you..... 😢 I wanna play the mage profession here, as it looks really fun too.

The main quest line only has a few quests you do at 10/20/30/40 etc. still have to explore.

It is a bit of a personal thing but I do recommend playing the story in order instead of jumping around for mounts and gliding since all the story is like a long arc so it won´t make sense if you don´t play it in order. If you don´t mind that then go right ahead and cherry pick the masteries. Make sure to have fun :)

I understand your point but I think its still a better sounding name then "Playstation 1,2,3,4,5 etc." Xbox ONE sounds like a cool sleek name or the Xbox..Series X nice tune to it. Idk maybe its just me, we can all agree at least Xbox 360 was the best name for a console.

I wish they kept with the ratation based naming scheme of the 360. The Xbox One would be the 720, The Series would be the 900 and the Series X would be the 1080.

I returned to Halo Infinite when Season 5 Launched. The flood themed armor really drew me in as well as the rank progression system. Really just been having a blast practicing and getting better, been playing it consistently almost everyday ever since S5. I'm an og Halo player so I had to give Infinite a chance again. Definitely recommend.

Early 2023 was probably the lowest point Halo has ever been in. The transformation the game has made since the shake up at 343 has been nothing short of a miracle. The game is now in the hands of the man who made MCC into what it is now, so I only see the best in the future for the game.

I quit Infinite after trying and trying to get myself use to one of the simpliest mechanics, the aiming. I cant for the lofe of me enjoy a game where i am constently fighting against the game when trying to correct my aiming but the game insists on trying to do it for me. In turn causes a over correctness thus screwing up my aim and giving me a unfair death. Yes, ive tried altering my settings. Nothing works. So i dropped it. If a game, where the basic mechanics screw players over, then im not going to have a good experince. It doesnt matter what is brogiht back to it. If it isnt fixed or a priority then it never will be. Its been stated countless times during its first inital glight that the aiming was off but nothing was done to it. Sure they are working on desync but what about Bullet Magnetism and aim assist? Those are still widely broekn and still need fixed. So i wont come back until that is addressed and if not then ill just wait, but i wont hold my breathe. Also look up Critical Infinite, he basically expalins everything that i am expericning. Then maybe, just maybe more people will see where the true issues lie.

I have similar reasons for not really recommending Halo Infinite. I *love* the core gameplay, BTB in particular. Infinite BTB CTF is the most fun game mode in any FPS ever for me. In fact, it was so fun for me that… you know when it was really broken during that first december and you basically had to retry BTB matches for like 3-4 before you got a working match? Yeah, I did that, *again and again* all and put up with the bugginess because it was still so damn fun. So… I realised very few others would probably stomach that. Anyway, happy that Infinite is better, it truly does seem better now!

Season 4 was when the game started getting good, Season 5 is where it started getting great and I think once they finally roll out their desync fix to the rest of the game beyond firefight, the game will be basically peak Halo. Like yeah, they could expand the sandbox, they could add more modes, they could do x, y, z, but the core is strong and the content is there (and with them wanting to highlight forge content more aggressively, it'll be one of the most active live services in this regard), and it can really only go up.

I also recently came back to Halo infinite. I'm very pleased to see how much theyve updated the game. The battle pass still bugs me but getting the full mechanical experience of the game for free is incredible

The SOTO story only brings back Zojja, nobody else; however, Zojja went through some interesting stuff in Heart of Thorns so you'd be very lost whenever she starts talking about it.

As someone who recently played season 1 for the first time since the original living world release, I feel I should warn you that the Tower of Nightmares episode is very, very literal. Prepare for a nightmarish experience. (unless you time it right and there's a meta event train going at the same time, in which case np)
