Comfy AK Trigger Guard - Straight to the point
Hi, nice video. The front sight has an adjustable screw that you can adjust up and down. And there is another screw that tightens the front sight in place, do you happen to know what size of a screw is it? I'm getting one in a couple of weeks used but it's missing the adjustable front sight screw and tightener. I managed to find the front sight from belgium but im still missing the tightening screw. Thanks if you can help, or even see this after a year!
Hi Not sure if this helps & I understood you correctly. some closeups imgur.com/a/HEm6nez - doesn't seem like there is a screw head, more of a worm screw?
Super excellent. SKS is one of my all time Favs. Maybe because I grew up with one in my hands and many many other reasons. Excellent rifles. Especially here in Alaska. These are the "go to" rifle for even guys in the Siberian wilderness..
@@Evasion.Survival.Alaska it really is a nice piece, especially for the price one used to get them back 10 years
Thats a fine looking AK you have there! I just acquired another AK. A Serbian/Yugo AK. Its a fricken tank..
@@Evasion.Survival.Alaska ohhh never was able to fondle a yugo yet, seen some videos though. Enjoy!!
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck They are quality! I have a US made, PSA AKM that is good- surprisingly so. I trust it with my life, so it must be quality for me to do that. Ive used an Ak to kill an attacking bear so Im experienced in such matters. But, yes, I was able to finally acquire the Yugo recently . I have ALWAYS wanted one (mostly because a Russia made AK was never in my budget or available when I had the money for one). IMO the Yugo is a Fine European military quality AK. Anyhow- good of you to visit my over there at my mess. I hope you enjoy it.

I have not seen the 45 and 60rnd quad stack 556 Ak mag yet at least in the USA they are not available?
@@todd2048 sorry no clue about the availability in the US, in Europe they are pretty available
😂😂😂
Curious what does the NDM 86 cost where you are from? They are around $8000 USD in the USA
@@PS-cc4hm it cost 2300 CHF when I got it, might very well cost quite a bit more nowadays 😂
Would you be able to let me know what the part number is for that suppressor? Not serial number but just the part number of course. Thank you!
@@PS-cc4hm it was specifically built to match, so not sure if a part number would help. It's a B&T MARS direct thread in 7.62. do let me know if I can help you with anything
Got another question. Are Ak Recoil Spring Guide rods pretty much universal? I have a NPAP and I want an extra guide rod assembly. Do you think a ZPAP guide rod assembly will work fine?
What is the name of that dump pouch?
@@funkmeister2353 some russian made thing. I once used one from EOD, gen 2 dump pouch , was pretty nice. I suggest you go to a store and checkout what they have
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck I appreciate the info Ill have to look into that. Thanks for the reply and for your videos. Edit: If anyone else is curious I did figure out what it was called and it's an ANA Tactical Big Dump Pouch or Tactical Dump Pouch. I knew I had seen that Rhino logo before but I could not remember what brand it was lol.

@@mazyar2581 it really do be
FYI I know this is a year late. But I didn’t see it in the comment. That thick mag that would not fit is actually a Galil magazine not an AK mag. It will fit only in “slab side” style Saiga AKs but not the others. However it is meant for the Galil rifle.
@@bladesedge2 ohhhh thanks for that info, now I need to get my hands on a galil to test 😅
I would like to put a flashlight on my IO AK.... any lights that would work well with that rifle? are there options for having the switch for the light in different places?
@@xisotopex @xisotopex i don't think there are specific lights that work well with an AK. Depending on how you mount it, make sure it's a tough device. If you want a tape switch, check out my AK modernization video where I show the midwest handguard, such handguards give you plenty of space to mount switches. Do let me know if you need any further info
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck thank you
A shop that has A color in their name🤔? "OLD NAVY" inside the Mall 😏... I like the idea of using the pistol magazine pouches to carry the Leatherman Wave and light👍. Be sure to keep your old belt, you will grow back into that belt someday.

Great video! If possible I would definetly buy the Saiga 9. Which is the brand of the safety lever?
@@AlTos87 krebs customs
Great camera combined with crisp and clear instructions, no tangents, fantastic!
@@MotherScreng thank you! Glad the video was able to help you
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck I am watching it again because i forgot how to line up those etch marks with the line on the back of the bolt (the round thingy you pull on - technical terms of course...) I was so glad you finished the bolt unscrew by pushing the firing pin into the table and rotating the "body" - i consider myself a smart educated guy, but it is amazing how by default the brain wants to spin the pin counter clockwise... instead of holding the pin i na fixed position and rotating the assembly clockwise haha. I was restoring a carcano and thought i was stuck with a cleaning rod that just wouldnt come out, no way i could get enough torque. like a WEEK later i realized how easy it would be to fix the rod in a vice and twist the rifle - 10 seconds of work and it was out ha! Torque, who knew! Thanks again and thx for listening to my story.
@@MotherScreng I started these videos because I got fed up at having to figure out things like this by following rather shoddy videos... It then evolved to other stuff. Yeah sometimes stuff isn't very intuitive, especially the design language of things that are like 4x the age of oneself 😅
What light did you go with , ive been looking for one that will withstand the power of the AK, thanks and great informative video!!👍
@@Randanator65 I am unsure of the exact model, can't currently check. The lamp is made by Fenix, they are definitely quite tough

Never knew it was milled.
Can you fold the stock while having the rail and optics on the rifle?
@@mazyar2581 with the regular folding stock you can't fully fold it, but if length is your prime concern for transport it can still help. I usually remove the side rail, as the zero is kept, for transport when I have my full gear to carry

@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck is it stuck bullet during firing or doing any other problems with this magzine
In 5.45x39 krink
@@dixaster919 it likes all of the magazines i threw at it up till now. With one exception, the promag from the US causes failure to feed.
Did it make much difference? Just installed mine and was wondering
@@mattieb3175 there are many reasons why you would want to swap the spring. maybe it's worn out, or you are suppressing the rifle and need a stronger spring
Thanks I needed a video to figure this out!
@@Earth_Care_Cowboy glad i was able to help
3 point. I like the extra stability from the front piece attached to the body via the main sling, the quick release buckle, not too cheap or expensive, it's quick to shoulder, and it readily works with AR carbine/rifles it was designed for. If set up correctly, it won't tangle, but a velcro piece doesn't feel very secure and could wear out. Won't use a 1 point unless it's a 2/1 convertible like the Magpuls but those are pricey and aren't universally compatible.
Does it matter which end of the spring goes in or is each side the same?
Is the spring symmetrical? I'm asking as there are many different springs. If it is, it doesn't matter 😊
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck It's a Wolff extra power
@@codycigar6542 doesn't matter in this case
@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck blessed brother you're the man.
The grip tape i use here in the south hot n humid asf but solid advice we did the same in the marine corps
Vz58 design is taking little bit of ak and sks features
Perfect video, and I loved the "T" trick.
Neat little rifle. What year do you think it is?
I don't actually have any idea, nor am I aware of markings that would give it away. Educated guess 1990
PSA mags, bulgarian mags, ac-unity mags, zastava steel mags is what I use in my zastava m85 krink all work perfectly.
In America we neuter the Russian 556 mags too. Real AK 101 clones have the bullet guide installed
I wonder how any lights and lasers would hold up against the heat of the barrel and gas tube…
My Fenix light holds up since years without any problems. It builds up some gunk but wiping it down every time I clean the gun does the trick. For lasers, I don't have any long time observations
997 you're welcome I guess

that backwards lean was wild
Yeah, need to work out more...
@@vorwaerts_nie_zurueck not just that, but also the stance. I saw this one video (ua-cam.com/video/Gff3l-Rd3Vs/v-deo.htmlsi=M9prBx8zH9dH1XIe ) on the correct stance when shooting an AK. The correct stance is to square up to the target, and lean much of your upper body forwards into the rifle. I’ve used this technique for many bigger rounds that would definitely knock my skinny ass down, so maybe try that out
Indeed it's fudged from the start
Hast du deinen Handguard irgend wie modifiziert, damit die Reinigungsstange noch Platz hat? Oder geht das bei den original Izmash? Bei den amis soll die kein platz mehr haben.
