Ah it's so soothing to hear this song amongst the chaos of UA-cam shorts. Bless you for choosing specifically this song haha. This turned out beautiful and you've earned a subscriber <3
Thank you so much 🥰
holy shit what a hidden gem of a video, this is amazing
Thank you so much for this!!!
Damn, the time + effort to color the outer paper!
Love going to thrift shops also! I actually use a Cuttlebug to print. I think I recall you being in the process of marketing the Lino press you use. If so, any idea on release time? Very interested.
We are! But we've had a little bit of a delay in the process - I hope to have it resolved this winter (maybe summer for you? 😅) and get them released in the next couple months.
Really AWESOME ❤
All great points! I have gotten a substantial amount of professional and quality student grade art supplies off sites like eBay. It's kept my painting practice alive (:
Ebay is also a great option for second hand materials! 😊
Phenomenal
Florence + The Machine, nice
that's really cool im gonna try it😮❤
God bless you
Nice work I love the fact you reused the old maps and didn’t throw them away 😊
Tetro pack print turned out great!
I LOVE THIS
AMAZING
Nice work ❤
It's so pretty ❤❤.
This is amazing!
looks incredible!
Really pretty ❤
This is so cool!! Love your style :)
This is sooo cool
True Talent it’s beautiful 😻
That looks amazing!
Could you share how you made your book (in a future blog)?
My sketchbook? 😊 Sure! I will have a bookbinding video in the next week or two.
@@nicoleirwood Awesome! 😄
This is such a cool idea
Thanks so much!
Yes. A clean reorganised studio space...THE BEST!
The best!
I have learned so much from your videos. You have inspired me and encouraged me when I felt I just couldn’t get the hang of printmaking. Thank you. I really need a press like yours. I have a speedball one. It it doesn’t work. What is the name brand of your green one?
I'm so glad I've been able to help! What speedball press do you have? This press is a custom build - but we are planning to put some out for sale later this year, it's a hand lever press more generally.
@@nicoleirwoodspeedball model B it’s all metal. Pathetic. Spoon or hand printing works better!
So you are producing your own? Cool! Can’t wait!
Hi Nicole, thanks so much for this video, it’s fantastic. Can you let me know please what size wide U tool you recommend/use. I’m going to take your advise and slowly build my collection. Ohh and in other videos you use a tool that gouges out the sides to give a clean edge, could you let me know the size of that one. Thanks again Paula x
Hi Paula, Ultimately, all the tools have different sizing systems and it can all be a bit confusing. I think the tools you're talking about are both yoshiharu ones and are simply called Large Gouge and I think the other one is the Medium V. You might also be talking about the E.C Lyons gravers - my favourite one is the 46.
@@nicoleirwood thanks so much! I live on the sth coast of NSW and there’s no shops near me that sell tools like these. So I’m having to buy online. I ordered some of the Pfeil ones you use from Carbatec. Yes it’s the graver I couldn’t find, thank you, I will look them up. I’ve been looking at MES and Japanese tools but being such a newb I was nervous about what to choose. Thanks again for your videos, I’ve been bingeing them this week lol ❤️
Those are the places I buy from, too. The Japanese yoshiharu ones my brother bought me for Christmas from a shop in NZ. I would avoid the EC Lyons lino tools, but their gravers are good. Glad I've been able to help 😊
Loved your video Nicole, well done - beautiful. How do you clean your lonocut between prints?😊
Thank you!! I think I do have a video that includes this, but I can't think which one 🫣 Because I use safewash inks, they are pretty easy to clean with water and soap. I use a bit of jif sometimes and I try to keep water off the back, particularly in reduction prints to try and keep them flat.
Wow that’s really cool! All the details are gorgeous.
Thank you so much! 😊
Cool technique, and great song. Cheers!
THIS IA AMAZING KEAP IT UP 💖💖

Nice video
Just found your channel - love this! I’m definitely trying it! Thanks 😊
Aw, welcome! Would love to hear how you go 😊
🙃👏
Definitely want to try this! Thanks for experimenting in front of the camera for your viewers. I’m trying to figure out how you put on and remove the cup part with the paper and water in it without making a mess. Could you show that process next time?
Thank you so much 😊 You mean in the papermaking? I'm definitely making a biiiit of a mess, no secret tricks, I'm afraid 🤷♀️
What tool are you using to outline?
Usually the smallest 'u' tool.
I tried it worked
Your prints are wonderful
Oh my goodness, this is stunning! Beautifully done
Thank you so much 😊
Good song
That's pretty. What's it like to use?
I'm still testing, but so far the paper I've made has been lovely to use.
Hey, nice work. Where do you get your inspiration /ideas / motives from? 👏☺
Lots of places! A lifetime of finding and experiencing art/music/writing/films I love, stuff that's happening to me, my mood and feelings. If your question is more, how can I find inspiration and ideas to make stuff - I would suggest building a folder/scrapbook/pinterest of things you really really love and admire. And then work to identify common themes, styles and ideas. Mulch it all up combining lots of things to make something totally new 😊
I have tried Tetra Pak printing. Using a Cuttlebug as a press.
I haven't come across cuttlebugs before - had to Google. They are very cute!
Great video but would like the music toned down a bit
Thanks so much for the feedback! This was one of my very first videos - I've been working on this and I think you'll find my newer videos better.
This is so underrated! The whole vibe is awesome
What kind of glue are you using? PVA or something stronger? Your prints are lovely 😊
Thanks so much! I can't quiiiite remember what I'm gluing in this video - probably the block to card? If so definitely PVA.
It looks amazing! I hope you get more views in the future, you deserve it! ❤
