Great again! I hid the isla in the closet. Have to take a break for a while. Do you have periods when it just doesn't work out? If you know what I mean?
@@DJGleam I completely understand what you mean. It can be good to use other gear for a while to find inspiration. I do notice I often quickly go back go the s2400 because its so easy to sample and chop on it. I mainly miss fx, but hopefully the card will be there soon!

@@jacobthesleepy8980 I canceled the FX card order myself.. at least for now. I realized that with the current method I don't necessarily need an internal fx card. sure it's good, but it's expensive.

@@gasparpini It’s great as a classic sampler with modern usefull features. The new mpc’s have more functions, but maybe too much? Thats up to you to decide.

I need the full version of this song. It's amazing! Question, I plan to order my s2400 in 2 weeks and I want to know is it hard to learn. The only sampler experience I have is with the Pioneer Toraiz SP16.
Not hard to learn at all! The only things which take some getting used to is how the pads relate to tracks, and the ‘override mode’ which is unlike any other sampler.

In some of your other videos you are using the Analog Rytm mkii... which one do you feel is better...why?
Both are amazing in different ways. The isla sounds punchy amd hiphop, isngreat for chopping samples and the live loopers. The AR sounds very full and alive, has great fx and the best sequencer ever. Theres no real sample chopping though.

This is sick! I just spent the last 3days toying with remaking this instrumental on my MPC. Can you give me any insight into what you did to the sample? I can't seem to get the spaced out "airy" feel to the higher element of the sample. I split it in two, had a lower end and then the higher end on different pads to bring in and out. I tried increasing stereo width, eq'ing. compression, all sorts but can't get the higher parts of the sample to sound full and rich but also spaced and airy. No idea what the hell Havoc did to it but I know it'll be damn straight forward haha. Driving me nuts.When I'm finished, if you reply,, I can send you the soundcloud link.
Its one of the coolest instrumentals to remake! I did the same thing on the digitakt: the sample is copied to 2 tracks, one playing continuously with a low pass filter on top of it, the other one is coming in and has a high pass filter and just a little bit of pingpong delay to give it some more stereo space. Mind you: the DT is mono, as was the sampler havoc used, so maybe it helps to sum the sample to mono in the mpc. And its nice to hear the end result, so please share!

Did you gain match the different patterns? It sounds like the overdriven ones are much louder which makes it hard to judge just the distortion and character unbiased.
Thanks for reacting. The drive adds a lot of gain even when used lightly. I tried to gain match by ear a little, but its in no way acurate. I agree that its hard to judge, but its mean to give an idea of the character of the drive.
