Episode 11: Gift Ideas for the Music Lover in Your Life
My band played with Zeke about '94. Super Sound was still on IFA. Date could be wrong but close. They already had singles out.
Thank you so much. Love me some ZEKE👍🏻👍🏻An old buddy I grew up with who is a fellow music lover turned me on. Dirtbikes&Zeke.
Good shit Kaz...rad seeing you here. Just saw this! Spent some time with Mark and Donny in CA last week! Hope youre good! HAIL! Bobby (dwarves guy)
Thank you for recording this. I’ve loved this band since I first heard them.
Guys, can you work on getting good mic levels beforehand, and then the audio is so low on this? I'm at 68% on volume and it's hard to hear. Thanks for the interview, though. Loved the stories.
Hey hey guys this is Shawn Roxx former lead singer of Pit Boss. I also recorded a couple songs with DEATH squad. I produced the TCTV-TV show in the 90s called HARD ROXX and the heavy metal Sports show ROXX JOXX! I also made videos for Olympia bands Cypress Balloon Man..B.B.Eyes..... I held the metal flag High all the while surrounded by alternative grunge crap I never ever wavered it was nice to see my old drummer Jerry and hear good old Olympia stories if you ever want some more I have a ton thanks a lot for all you do guys!!!!!
Saw these guys around 1998 while they were touring on the the Kicked In The Teeth album. They opened for Jerry Cantrell in Louisville and it was the first time i'd heard of them. I was pretty impressed as was most of the crowd at the show. I remember Mark Pierce, the bass player at the time being overjoyed at the crowd's response. They seemed kinda like the Ramones on a meth binge. I mean that in the most complimentary way lol. It was fast and raw. Great show, i remember their set better than Jerry's.
Never saw them live, hope to one day. I had a friend who had a friend that was in prison and he got out and we had a party for him, he was still in his mid 20s but spend all of them behind bars. I played Zeke's Kicked In The Teeth to a mostly lame ass music night and he came up to me and said "this is the greatest music I have ever heard in my life" and he fucking died the next morning, apparently OD'd. But Zeke was his favorite band by the end of the night, so there's that. Wow Book Your Own LIfe! I used to book bands at house shows with that, it wasn't a bad website at all! I haven't thought of that in years.
wow! "burger!" he was always a good drummer! thats his wife's shop in Taco.
ZEKE with Speedealer, FUCKEMOS....Nebula ......2OO2.....Zeke and ANTiSEEN,Hellstomper etc 2011????Zeke, ANTiSEEN obstinate tour 2017...Zeke and Weedeater 2018.....im sure there is one more Zeke, ANTiSEEN show 2012?......anyway ZEKE is a band my friend and fiend Jay Cavasos had seen with friends as well ANTiSEEN .....Nashville Pussy....Supersuckers.....Hookers ....Fang....Honky....Murder Junkies....Candysnatchers.......and all shows was a road trip from Laredo TX to San Antonio Austin...loaded for bear ....addeled adventures.
What happened to dizzy? Dizzy update!
He's around!
Schmidt value pack
Dizzy dean...lake union pub...magenta...the lemons
Awesome drummer. The Supersuckers' early stuff (Songs All Sound the Same, The Smoke of Hell especially) is my favorite, in no small part thanks to Dan Siegel's killer fills.
Saw Zeke Mk II (Marky, Donny, Mark Pierce and Sonny) a couple times in Denver in the late 90's, those were some of rawest, sweatiest shows I've ever been to, it was so fun.
The Last Fling at Kings! Yes Brian! George Barner and the Trendsetters played Lucille and Louie Louie that night also and they were great!
Lake Union Pub was sooo gross! Mercer/Fairview intersection. Its gone now. Amazon tore it down.
Amazing content!
Plasma canvas is such an amazing band to listen to and to see live and everyone is amazing not only as musicians but as people as well
The question that UFO member Phil Mogg asked Andrew? I listened to it twice and could not understand what he said. So I messaged Andrew and asked him what the question was. The question was, "WHY do you have a Humble pie cover band?” Andrew's answer was, "Because nobody else would!”
You should have asked Andrew about being the Redwood Cheater Champ. 😄
I still love & listen to on a semi regular basis the song “Chinatown”….talk about just a great rock&roll song?!? 🤤🖤
Some of the best years of my life hangin w Tom, Bri, Jerry and Eric. My Death Squad Daze. It's kool to hear you reminiss. Did you ever open for the Mentors, or did we all just go to the show? I can't remember. Totally a blackout few years! Jerry- stayed at an air bnb in Oly in July, saw you with yer dog, didn't have time to say hey.
I actually really like dirty Sanchez that was my introduction to zeke got that album and dwarves come clean with a thrasher subscription
Gonna see ZEKE and The Dwarves together on the 29th of December baby FUCK YES!!!
@@justinmansfield3019 Thats an awesome show Lucky fucker Start a pit for me Would go if i wasn't all the way on the southern eastcoast in scumville
My buddy put on a show outside of Aberdeen WA at the Arctic Grange and Zeke was the headliner. They were awesome and were great dudes to hang with. Good times!
The pink bunny rabbit head gear was stupid kool! Howdy from Texas and the early 90’s Deep Ellum freakin Orbit Room days….
I continue to ride with Zeke. The future is sordid and bleak but I’ll get it on and ride with Zeke.
Would've never recognized Donny.
Great band!
BLOODHAG interview, please
Blows my mind that they're not proud of dirty sanchez... One of my all time favorite records.
I just wish they would play a fast one...
glasses dude is a totallllll fan boy lmao
Please make the audio consistent.
Thanks for watching! We try our best to make the video look and sound awesome, but we are a work in process. Using 4 mics for 5 people, who also tend to be animated in their storytelling, is tough. Looking into different mic options.
Great interview! That BTO show at the Trails was one of my all-time favorite shows. Brian and I were like 18 and drinking beers from the beer garden. Ha. Fred Turner was on fire!
I have met several bands on tour and locally that only sell t-shirts and usually it comes with a download code for their music instead of having an album to sell. Lots of people have just given up on physical media entirely. Vinyl - too expensive and too long of a wait time. Cd's - nobody has a cd player. Cassettes, of all media, have returned somehow... with a download code.
The shows in the dorms were epic.
Funkadelic
Let’s talk about the Rugby House shows and etc.
This was a treat.
More, more, more! ❤🎶🎸🥁
Rock on Julia!
Aguante zeke!!!! Abrazos desde chile 🫶🏽
absolutely loved this interview and can't wait for pt.2! Brings back so many memories. Thank you!!
Just saw em' 1st time ever! 22nd june 2023 London. The first gig i've seen post plague, i had to wait for something righteous & you aint gonna get more righteous in 2023 than ZEKE!!!!
That was a great show! Did you get any video?
@@poweroftheriff Not my footage, but whole show ua-cam.com/video/PsezH--o0F4/v-deo.html&ab_channel=YeAuldMetaller
I know them dudes
I used to follow these guys. Been backstage smoking weed at the croc with them. My housemate bought Mark's old green VW. Here's my text impersonation of a live Zeke song...."1,2,3 mother fucking 4 BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR... Thank you!!"
Kaz can Dance!!!
Killer!
