    Nicely p produced video but completely ignores the French presence further west than Kentucky, and in fact in Kentucky, that was contemporaneous with the rest of this

    Wow, talk about revisionist history. I suggest you try again. Your “version” of American history is absolutely wrong. What about how a bunch or white Europeans STOLE the lands from the natives who had been living here for 1,000’s of years? What about the FACT that many whiskey methods were brought here by the enslaved Africans kidnapped from Africa and forced into the inhuman act of slavery? You seem to have skipped all the realities of the factual beginnings of the USA, stealing land, enclaving humans, and killing anyone who got in there way. Not sure how you can be so proud of that.

    Most of the settlers of the South were highlander Scots. What is one of the most famous whiskies of Europe? Scotch whiskey! Your video is very well made. Thank you!

      Sry. Not so. Maybe you’re of scotch heritage and that sounds 👍! There are many southerners of Irish, German descent. I live in the south and we have an IrishTown, and GermanTown where these early settlers once lived. No Scottish Town. Share your sources where you’ve come to this conclusion. 👍

    How can I get a corn Whiskey recipe for my personal use have still just need recipe

    • @stevealford230
      @stevealford230 11 місяців тому

      Their "corn whiskey" is 51% corn (to meet the legal requirement to be called a corn whiskey) and 49% cane sugar. If you actually like that sugarwash nastiness, then here's the recipe for say, 10 gallons: Cook 10.5lbs of cracked/ground/flaked corn at 190-200 degrees for 90 minutes, it'll be thicker than oatmeal, then let it cool to 150-160 degrees and add Alpha Amylase (or 10% of grain weight in malted barley, because it has that enzyme) and hold at that temp for an hour, then let it start to cool and mix in your (yuck) cane sugar as it cools, and once it gets down to 90 degrees, add some Gluco Amylase and your yeast. Let that ferment out and then clear it and distill it. They don't do all that cooking and enzyme conversions on the show because the show isn't actually making corn/rye/barley mashes, it's making cane sugar WASHES with a tiny amount of grain that they don't convert and don't get any alcohol from the grains, just from the cane sugar.
