Chuckwalla Valley Speedway trackday 6/22/13 session 3
unfortunately my R1 was having some issues with power output, and the bike was losing top speed every lap that went by, but regardless it was a fun trackday and I cant wait to go again!

91 supra twin turbo 1ggte startup and revving

Here's my supra on startup, revving, and how it sounds with stock exhaust. I would also note that the engine was already warmed before this video, so it wasn't cold or dry when taken up to 7000 rpm. As you can see, the 1ggte is very smooth and calm, but takes to boost very well. via UA-cam Capture

89 supra runs 11's on stock block 7m, street tires, and full weight (3850lbs incl driver and fuel)... not too shabby

Question what motor mounts did you use, because I got a 90 supra and the mounts that I bought didn't fit?
Probably factory 1ggte. And Supra subframes changed after 89
The motor came out of a Soarer, I think I just used the mounts that it came with

i heard these motors are pretty slow stock, (not sure how true) but they sound amazing
Yes, it was very slow, especially compared to the 1j it replaced . Maybe too slow (maybe something was wrong)? It never really felt like it made much boost

you revved ur cold engine so far in to the red that the limiter saved ur engine from further abuse, kick ur self in the arse!!

Long story short, the 1j that was in the car blew and it was cheaper to replace with the 1g than to repair the 1j
