Here's a cover of the song Heir Apparent by the great swedish band Opeth.
I like the new and the old Opeth, but Watershed remains my favorite album due its perfect balance of heaviness and progressive elements.

Yeah absolutely, during the chorus starting with the words "I can never let you go" he only plays the melody of the chord and not the bass note. Its not wrong but it doesnt have the sway of the bassline with it.

Clean and tight! The best cover I’ve seen. When the groove kicks in at 2:18 🔥! One of my favorite riffs ever. The little polymeter chugdown at 1:26 is the hardest part for me to memorize. Dark Passenger breakdown pattern was always tricky as well. Those first 2 albums have a lot of my favorite breakdowns.
I remember this song humbling me as a 17 year old deathcore nerd lol. I couldnt play chords for shit back then. Veil of Maya is also definitely one of my first inspirations.
