STEALING HALLOWEEN: Did the Director of FRIDAY THE 13TH Create Jason by Copying Michael Myers?
In the late 1970s, director Sean Cunningham saw the movie HALLOWEEN and got excited by how much money it made. He turned to screenwriter Victor Miller and said, "Let's rip it off!" That movie became FRIDAY THE 13TH!

The Good, The Bad And The Underrated: Pandemic Movies! (Contagion, Outbreak, The Happening)
I was 7 when they released these. I was always confused when the promo said "One. Last. Time". I thought, "They can't possibly mean they're going to stop selling the movies." Only years later did I know what that meant. I still have this set.
I grew up watching that set of tapes.
They lowkey robbed him
Even these were edited and not quite the original releases. Key lines were cut in some parts and they utilized camera angles on some scenes that were different from the original releases.
They were young and vulnerable. The writer, "Blum," was mean and callose. And I think, a little jealous.
Halloween 2 was better than the original I said it... sorry John
Jim Cummings did the voice over for that promo.
Still have it.
K-Mart when I was six, the memories
I be still have it and I ALWAYS fast forward through it!
I have the VHS set as well as the Laserdiscs with the same covers
i still have these and the theatrical releases.
No remastered crap, original theatrical release only.
I still have the box set.
I still have mine. I just don't have a VCR anymore.
I loved it, the movie and his part in it
The letterbox version is better
I have that set still sealed and factory plastic. Is it worth anything?
We love the film
Emilio is a talentless hack who's only in projects based on nepotism.
As a child of a somewhat dysfunctional family ,Captain Kangaroo was my support system.I watched him every single morning, and tho I didn't understand the word respect at that age ,I know now that I respected him.i believed every word he said and took it to heart. He also helped develop my love of reading, which is a lifelong gift.He had a huge impact on my early life, and who knows...maybe he planted enough good seeds in my heart and soul to keep me from becoming a wacko lol He was calm, kind, caring and I learned so much from him.He was my childhood hero.😊
I liked it plenty
But Johnny you wrote the screenplay so no one to blame but yourself lol
These are the ones I grew up with and watched!
That VOICE. LMAO.
Still have them
Just a few weeks ago during one of my neighborhood walks I found the trilogy on the side of the road along with tons of other old vhs tapes in a box all in mint condition ready to be thrown away. I immediately nabbed them and the Jerky Boys movie and dusted off my VCR when I got home. It was a very good nostalgic weekend watching them on tape. Great short
I STILL Have THESE IN MY CLOSET
I still have mine
I had these tapes had a kid. They bring back good memories.
I still have a set of these on my shelf. I wore out the originals. These and old family home videos are why I still have a VCR. Not a fan of the special editions at all.
Leap year is my all time favorite movie 😭💓
I was raised on these! Literally watched them once a month for almost 10 years, and I watched the interviews every single time!
Whyyyyy arrrrrre youuuuuu taaaalking like thaaaaaaat.
Godfather 1 & 2; Serpico; And Justice For All; Dog Day Afternoon; Scarface; Heat; Scent of a Woman; Devils Advocate; Sea of Love; Carlitos Way; Donnie Brasco; Any Given Sunday; Insomnia;
He’s a prodigy
We had the CBS Fox release with the fold-out box panels. One of my favorite childhood memories.
2010 😂 I m watching 2024 too late 😅
I had those and of course like an idiot got rid of them. Just like all the original figures my mom sold at a garage sale for 10 cents each. 😞
Yes and I still have them.
He deserves an Oscar for each of his roles he's ever played. ❤
I still have these from when they first came out in 95, still in great shape, and I recently found a set in an antique store still shrink wrapped.
Love the movie. Love both actors. So romantic that I want to go to Ireland for the fantastic view.
I had this as a kid, we sold it in 2007 I think, I miss it so much
What's hilarious to me throughout this whole thing is that the prosecutor is dialed up to 12 the entire time. Even when Pacino loses it he's like "DAMN IT" 😂😂
I remember watching Star Wars (not A New Hope) on 8mm.
Lol I think I have those
As long as he doesn't morph into his brother....
Remember? I still have them.
Still have that box set
