    75 is quite low on these engines, compressions should be in the neighborhood of 100 PSI, for sure that the # 4 cylinder have a stuck or burned valve. definetely that I'd do a leak down test to locate more precisely the source of the problem

      The sound deadening sheets I got are very easy to work with. You can cut it with scissors and it is peel and stick then roll it out with a roller.

    Great & informative video, thanks! I got the same price juggle from Leaf filter so researched more and found Waterlock recommended by This Old House and will use it! Wish I was braver on the ladder looks easy enough for me to install - but I'm old & will call a handi man. Thanks again! NJ

    About to do the same thing, just got my blazer body stripped off. Were any of the body mounts on the blazer frame able to be used or did you have to make every body mount?

    Hello! How have you found the gutter guards to work so far? A lot of gutter guards have some slope to them, do you find that things get caught on the top of the gutter guards and don't flow off?

    I'd leave the ole flathead .You can still buy every part stock for those engines even hp. parts . I put a split header dual exhaust on my 230 and a larger intake . I'm running a two barrel cheap amazon Weber instead of the ole one barrel ball and ball . I changed everything to 12 volts with a kit even the gauges .

    If you find a donor for the 4.3 complete, I know a guy close to you that can help you keep fuel injection and 4l60e all working and probably cheaper than intake, carb, and distributor. Could do some cool stuff with gauges then too

    So I'm not sure what's different about my 2007 Chevy new body style. The transmission pan came off rather easily after I removed the shift bracket. There were only two torx screws on top of the bracket, so it was pretty easy. I did not have a clearance issue relating to the exhaust while removing the pan.

    Great job ! We won't tell the Maytag man . 🤣 Just a few ideas . I used grey pool table felt and glued it to recycled formica to make my door panels . Which is a lot more sturdier than the old cardboard ones I learned how to restore the wood grain look from another youtube channel . I redone my dash and the door caps . I recovered my seats with grey Israeli wool military surplus blankets . I think I'll have someone else do the headliner. Looking forward to watching more on your rebuild .

      Forget about Marvel mystery oil. You need to take some good Dexron ATF and mix it 50/50 with acetone. It is the worlds best penetrating oil. Works a treat for freeing up rusted locked up engines even.

    My 2004 Tahoe just messed up the other day. My tahoe issue was the the brake safety coil mechanism. It was under the dash to the right of the shift cable connection. This guy's video pointed it out. I just disconnect the POS mechanism! It seems to me that it was made to fail. I put some electrical tape over the plastic plug so it will not have a short circuit...

  • @pauljanssen7594
    @pauljanssen7594 3 місяці тому

    Now this is what they call the master cylinder below the floor lower than the wheel cylinders this is why you used to have to pump the brakes to get the fluid up to the wheel cylinder. Probably the most main problem with old Master cylinders that used to leak.

  • @andreamills5852
    @andreamills5852 3 місяці тому

    Looking forward to your next video . Those one wheel cylinder per break shoe are an odd thing but easy to work on . at least companies still sell about every part for these old cars . I'd like to hop my 230 L head a little bit . Put the split header duel exhaust , Edgy head . cam , Two one barrel intake .
