It honestly depends on a few factors, the communication with clients, the work load & the payment. I find that shorter projects seem to take the longest because of one of those 3 unfortunately. But in a perfect world I would say basic projects should take 2-3 weeks for sure. Longer projects 4-5 weeks

Yo thank you for watching & this is an awesome question! I can’t answer that for you, but I can say. You should do what works best for you, me personally I went to a community college and was introduced to graphic design there. I never knew about it before that, I quickly realized that for me I was better off self taught. But being self taught without courses (back then) came with pros & cons. (I might make a video on this). One pro was I learned at my own pace, a con was that I missed out on some technical aspects of designs that I had to learn later. My brain has always done its own thing so being self taught worked better for me, but I know plenty of designers that went to college and THRIVED in structured environments. It just didn’t work for me, but it has A TON of benefits.

Also, I’m making a video on this as well, but I wouldn’t worry too much about AI in the future. I think that every designer should learn AI & use aspects of it to make themselves more valuable but it won’t/can’t replace us because the human experience & need for connection gets in the way of that. So just work on your skills and keep getting better so that you can’t be replaced!

I dropped out around the same time man! I only had like 2 years left, but i have no regrets. I hated going to class, submitting my art work and feeling like my career was being controlled by someone just based on their opinion of my designs. I couldn't do it lol I always said i would go bac but the further i got away from it the more i realized i wasnt lol You're right tho a degree is important and can help but creativity is way more valuable. Damn man!! I'm thankful that you quit bro, it's NEVER worth it to spend more time for them than yourself. I had a similar situation offered to me, i would've had to spend 3 hrs driving there & 3 hrs driving back. I passed on it. I realized that i would be spending more time for them, than doing things for myself and life is worth way more than that! Don't quit tho man, don't give up. Right now it looks rough but your next/best opportunity is literally right around the corner. I know the feeling of hopelessness.
