@@patrikbnvn2847 exactly. Im interesting how is your settings. If you want I have some close photos from Trey rig because I have a friend who was MA guitar tech in Eu tour in 2013..It is interesting in Formulas ERa Trey had different setting in his rat but he used RANE QQ

@@satarello My settings for the Rat are distortion 10 o'clock, filter 9 o'clock and volume max. And for the JCM900 I use the channel A with gain at max, bass 7, middle 5, treble 4 and presence 6. Yeah he used a Rane EQ just after the Rat to add gain with all frequencies flat. I also use an EQ between the Rat and the Marshall, the boss GE7 works perfectly.

I'd say as close to the amp as possible. So the fan has to be very close to the speaker, and then the mic is behind the mesh, as close as possible to the blades of the fan. Don't know if it helps ;)

Hey, solos are recorded with all effects coming from the amp, so there's no affect added after recording, everything you hear is what the microphones have captured ;)

@@patrikbnvn2847 thank you so much. I thought that. It is difficulty path to recording solos. So the conclusion is that Trey made the same on previous MA albums. Thank you so much,. I ordered my first MARSHALL combo 1x12 4501.

@ basically, it’s sort of a Hammond Organ effect with a comb filter on the in/out points. I’ll dig my old setup up from the basement today anyway, since I’ll need it next week, if I can find that or can accidentally program it again, I’ll post my findings 😅

@@Eyeofdajjal TC Electronic makes very interesting devices, pedals and rack mounted effects. Never tried the G Force nor the G Major though. I like homemade effets like Trey's Wind Rift Technique, but in a home studio it's always easier to work with electronic devices and effects. But, with the fan, there's something that I doubt can be reproduced, and it's that subtle high frequency sound done by the sound hitting the fan blades.

@ absolutely cool with me - I just can’t play 2 speakers live plus haul a fan that gives me no control over tempo. Just a matter of taste and practicability. I’m already reassembling my old rack here, so maybe I can figure ist out 😊
