Procrastination, gotta love it! Doing what I want to rather than what I should. Oh, just in case you thought I was actually changing the oil, you don't really change the oil on a VL. What doesn't burn in the combustion chamber gets dropped on the ground and on the rear drive chain. A little long, more than 20 minutes - 6 miles, with stops to restart after stalling.

A quick spin around the neighborhood test track to check settings and adjustments after replacing clutch pedal rod front and rear clevises.

This was supposed to be a neighborhood loop test to check the clutch adjustments. When things seemed to be going well the left rear stand bolt fell off. The right side bolt kept the stand from completely dropping off the bike.

Neighborhood ride just to get a feel for the shifting problem. Ended up shimming one end of the shift rod because of worn pin holes. Then resetting the free play in the clutch release lever. We'll see if it make any difference.

Just a quick ride around after figuring out that the shift linkage is loose. Shifting by feel rather than where the shift lever is in the gate seemed to work better.
