793F startup and walkaround

We removed the fuel tank and installed a temporary one to bring this truck into the shop to facilitate a frame update (no crane in the shop, so we took it off outside). Took about 12 litres to start and idle truck for a couple of minutes, drive it 150 m into the shop and raise and secure the box. Our 20 litre "tank" was just enough!

Thats a proper Dozer. Built to last 👍
Bigger shovel like P&H 4100 or bigger hydraulic shovel .
Such a large bucket, and yet it's not loaded completely.
Operator is very good. Half loaded bucket
Isn’t

Late comment here what makes this material be considered waste.
It's not coal.
Wow… I didn’t realize the motor was that exposed. Has there ever been an oil filter sheared off in mining conditions?
I’ve never seen it happen. They sit pretty high and the frame is lower than the filters. You’d have to be trying really hard to rip the filters off
would be helpful if you can talk it through step by step for start up & walk around
Half a load is better than none.
Whats the two cables hanging off the rear of dump box for?
They hook to the rear diff of the truck when the body is raised and you're working on it, in case there's a mechanical failure and the body drops.
Nice! With that compression I'm sure it runs good, 7 years later lol. Did you end up having to drill holes in all 4 throttle blades to get it to idle clean? I run a 287th7 in a 350 at 10 to 1 compression. Absolute bear to get to idle, but I love the torque and screaming hp!
Id love to see this guy slow down, i bet hes smoth as silk when hes not showing off
Чи ни экскаватор , вот раньше были ЭКСКАВАТОРЫ !
He's a good operator, smooth, efficient, clean, He fills the back of the low side of the bucket well, a lot of operators don't. I always look to see that. The P&H 2800 is an excellent machine. well designed. I like the P&H model. always have. although I never was to crazy for the all terrain P&H rubber tier crain, articulating body. way to much flex twisting bending under loads, old school here. I worked on some old machines back in the day. RockQuarry rigs not to often, although I did love it, but dirt was more to my liking.

What’s the cam number? Cam size?

Bad Ass Car 🙂
Great job with a blade angled ,, but you what is a better method if you can find one that's a heavy duty rake to fit your C frame ,,an I don't mean pin on blade rake witch just adds extra weight on those front idelers,, it a old school way of clearing an not getting as much dirt in the process

These so called UA-cam's , get the proper blades, equipment, for the task, dirt blades for land clearing ??
Interested in the mining work
Obviously you’ve never worked in a coal mine lol
Ran these shovels, keep your bank close, don’t crowd out to far, easier on the shovel
.
I drive one of these for work
that's really a great video!! Is it your workplace?
Yup
@@CandyCamaroZ28 definitely an interesting job there. What are you operating there?
@@scania1644 I'm a mechanic for an OEM dealer there.
Love the color, is that magnetic red?
No, just a mix of a bunch of leftover reds that were on the shelf with 2 different HOK Kandies on top of it.
Pretty much the very ,very few American made pieces of machinery that have never downsized………. unlike cars. These construction machines have used the same build quality for generations and still continue to do so!!!!!
And locomotives
@@LegoWormNoah101 yes
Cars have actually been getting larger in recent years, not smaller. But quality wise, yeah they do suck now.
Surprisingly a lot of the transmission and differential parts are made in Germany....sorry to break the news to any Americans
@@karljohnson4555 you mean ZF and Voith? However, Allison and Eaton are American made
Basically a locomotive engine!!!!!!!
The engine is actually a lot bigger than what’s in a train lol
@@davesendit1348 And we haven't even talked about the Cat 797. Which is even larger than this
