Christianity is neither evidentially true nor historically true. Jesus, the bible, and Christianity are all frauds invented by the Flavian era Roman Empire, and the Roman Catholic church, collectively used to oppress and control the citizens of the Empire through guilt and fear, which is exactly how they are used today. They were a part of the Empire's propaganda campaign to pacify the citizens, to get them to pay their taxes, and to get them to stop uprising and warring against the Empire. There is virtually zero historical evidence for Jesus, and the gospels are all stolen mythologies, and 3rd party hearsay, written decades and up to a thousand years after Jesus supposedly walked, by men who didn't know him, the gospels are all storytelling, not historical accounts, rendering them completely unreliable. The entire bible is just a fictionalized history of the ancient Israelites and has absolutely nothing to do with our modern era, there is nothing in the bible that is scheduled or 'prophesied' to occur within our modern era. Jesus is a fraud, in that he lied at Matt 16:28, and again at Luke 9:27, making him a liar and a false prophet. The Bible itself is filled with multitudes of lies, (both god and Jesus lie throughout it) contradictions, scientific errors, and a plethora of pornographic passages, affirming that men wrote the bible and that a god didn't cause it, as a "perfect god" would have known when figs were in season, (Matt. 21:18-19) A perfect god wouldn't have needed to steal a donkey, (Matt 21:2-3) A perfect god would've known that the seasons are opposite on the southern half of the equator, (Matt 24:20), etc., etc. Christianity, (as are all Abrahamic religions) is deeply rooted in Paganism, rendering it a dangerous, man-made garbage religion. The fact that Christianity grafted itself onto earlier pagan worship was part of the design of the church fathers. Pagan elements were incorporated into the Christian faith on the advice of Pope Gregory the Great, who told Saint Augustine of Canterbury that rather than tear down the pagan temples in Britain, he should instead add existing pagan rituals into the mix of Christian practices, thus providing an easy transition to the new religion. Unfortunately, some of the most basic things believed by most professing Christians derive from ancient paganism rather than from the Bible. The idea that people have immortal souls was first taught in ancient Egypt and Babylon. The Greeks likewise taught that at death the soul would separate from the physical body (Jewish Encyclopedia, 1941, Vol. 6, pp. 564, 566, "Immortality of the Soul"). That idea was merged into Christianity from Greek philosophy. It did not come from inspired Scripture. The ancient Egyptians developed the concept of going to heaven. In their mythology, the god Osiris was killed but then raised back to life, whereupon he went to a distant heavenly realm. The Egyptians concluded that if he could do this, then human beings could follow (Lewis Browne, This Believing World, pp. 83-84). This heavenly reward was a central teaching of several ancient mystery religions-but not the religion of the Hebrews or early Christians. Even some Christian teachings about Jesus have origins in paganism rather than the Biblical record. Babylonian mythology regarding Ishtar claimed that she had a son named Tammuz. He died each year but then would be reborn again in the spring. The Babylonian veneration of both the mother and child influenced later versions of Christianity that deified Jesus' mother Mary as much as Jesus Himself (Sir James Frazer, The Golden Bough, 1993, p. 326). This stands in contrast to Scripture, which honors Mary, but reveres no ordinary human being-only Christ. The Chaldean symbol for Tammuz was the letter tau, which appears as a san-serif "t" and is commonly considered a cross (Babylonian Mystery Religion, p. 51; Vine's, "Cross, Crucify"). While the Bible does indeed teach that Jesus was crucified, there is no record of the shape of the crucifix. At that time, Romans used various forms of upright stakes, some with crossbeams and some without. The Bible does not indicate that the early Church ever used the cross as a religious symbol, but several pagan religions had been doing so for centuries before Christ was born. Contrary to this, the truth is that most of the features of Christianity that people today think of as superior were, in fact, already options in the Roman world. I could go on, and on, and on, and on, but I'll stop here. Read the book, "Caesar's Messiah" to learn the FACTUAL bases for Christianity, Jesus, and the bible, they are all FRAUDS!!!

I hear you, I had the same experience you're having now. I became an atheist. What changed me, was getting in a situation where I nor any one else could save me. When you get in a situation that can take your life, but you don't want to die, you'll either call on God or die. Once you need him, you'll start trying to understand him.

God is the embodiment of everything in nature. That is why we can say God (nature) was there, is there, and will always be there. You cannot use science or theology to show the beginning of the beginning or the first God. To create an Omnipotent God, you need a more complex Omnipotent God. It goes on and on and on. Who is the first God is an unanswerable question. In nature anything and everything has to have a simple beginning and then evolve to be complex. The universe starting simple and expanding and evolving to be more complex is intellectually acceptable than an omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, benevolent Creator Being, pulling strings from the beginning. One who tries to argue and prove that the God in his book created everything, pitifully lacks understanding? Since God is the embodiment of everything in nature, ask yourself “Can God give books to humans?” Different contradicting books to different tribes. These different books sometimes contradict violently. All books are written by people and are based on their narrow understanding of the contemporary world. They had no idea of Galaxies or microbes. They believed that their God created a Geocentric Universe and the Sun orbits around the Earth. They believed that plagues are divine punishments. Take anything from nature. Can electricity, gravity or magnetism give you a book? No, but you investigate and learn about natural phenomena, and you write books about them. Does the electric motor work differently for followers of xyz religion? Does Penicillin work differently for followers of pqr religion? When giant Tsunami waves came, they swept away the whole kindergarten full of children belonging to all kind of religions. This is the way of God (nature). I am more comfortable with the Buddhist belief of Dependant Origination (cause and effect). The Law of Causation states that whatever is, must have a cause. Suggesting also that, if there is a thing or an event, then there will be an effect that will inevitably follow from that thing or event. Unwholesome actions will lead to unwholesome results and wholesome actions lead to wholesome results. We create our own Karma, as reflected in our destiny. It is vital that we respect rational, secular, humanist values. It really does not matter, which religion you follow, or which book you read. If you are good, you are good. By being good, what I mean, is living without causing any harm or pain, physical or mental, to any beings sensitive to pain. If there is a place called heaven where all good people destined to go, you will go there regardless of your denomination or religious label. This theory eliminates the need to argue and prove the unprovable, while we are on earth. The only requirement to reach the heaven is to be good. It is futile trying to prove if heaven and hell exist or whether there is life after death, which God in which book is the right one. Isn’t this a very beautiful belief? Though, I cannot prove to you the veracity of this belief, just like you cannot prove the veracity of your religious belief to me, I accept this as the most plausible. I learned that since leaving Christianity and talking about it on channels like this and other channels, the Christians will show up and attack me. They do it to other people too. They tell me I'm going to Hell and that I was never a true Christian to begin with. Instead of answering the hard questions, they lash out with insults and attacks. It really opened my eyes further.

I am 55 years old and been going to Christian churches since I was 8 years old. I just found out there are scriptures in the Bible that have been removed 46 of them as I understand scriptures and books like the book of Enoch and the Dead Sea scrolls. I briefly read part of the book of Enoch and to my surprise there is more than one devil (satan) and they all have different names I ask myself why am I just finding this out after going to church all of these years. My point is why are these preachers not teaching this. I am pretty much done with Christianity

when i realised that the bible doesnt support or recommend living a healthy lifestyle, hates women, thinks black people are cursed, parents are always right regardless(though it says parents not to prove kids), the ark of noah measuring at just 13 metres high (water) when some pools can go 20 metres deep and mount everest is 1000 metres, thats when i decided to read the whole thing and i couldnt finish it because they were too many contradictions. When you run into a so called contradiction or something that paints God in an evil light, just pray and ask Him to open your eyes and show you the truth about what you think you’ve found out, the be patient and let the spirit guide you, you will find how it all fits together when you learn to be led and not lean on your own understanding.

In case you still come back to look at comments on this video: I think learning about the scholarly consensus on the origin, historical context, and original meaning of the Bible would answer a lot of your questions. These same questions about the possible fallibility of the Bible are what made me leave Christianity, and since learning more about biblical scholarship, it has made all these contradictions make sense. The truth is that the Bible is a product of many different times, many different people, and many different (often conflicting) ideas. No arguments for a single cohesive theological framework based off of the Bible will ever convince me, and being aware of the scholarship has made me more confident in my choice to leave religion.

I came across your video by chance and it made me smile. Leave the shackles where they lay! I have been an atheist for well over a decade but I only openly expressed my views a year or two ago. Most of my family and friends understood and respected my choice while others wouldn’t hear it or denied it outright. I just don’t talk about faith with those people that wouldn’t even hear me out or gave the normal “the devil is saying that” line. I am not here to turn anyone away from religion and I don’t need their approval for my views either. But the ones that were open minded and it didn’t matter, gave me the opportunity to actually share my views instead of lying and I came to find out that many more felt the same way or they had still had faith but was open to questions and we have some great conversations about it. I live in Georgia and it scared me at first wondering what people would say or think but now I proudly rock my science rocket decal on the back of my car! It’s nice to admit “we don’t know” to questions about reality and the universe and life but now you can explore those topics freely without the weight of religion pulling you down!

Reading Genesis 1 should make you question it, yes. But that's not the half of it. You're not actually reading Genesis 1. You're reading a translation of it, with word choices made for you by people who have an agenda (not necessarily a nefarious one, but one that supports specific traditions that have grown since the composition of the texts). If you grew up with the NIV, the NCB and its predecessors, or the King James version, for fun, go read Genesis 1 from the New Revised Standard Version (Updated Edition), or NRSV. It's an academic translation that only tries to convey what the Hebrew says as the Israelites understood it, rather than making the text fit with modern frameworks. It's eye-opening.
