The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus Review
Townshend says original plans were to tour the USA by rail (Stones,Who,Small Faces) like a travelling circus. Meetings were held but it was found the state of the railways were too bad to make it viable. Jagger then moved towards a tv show format.Small Faces probably werent invited as they were days away from breaking up.
Fuck me I'm 30 miles from London by jesus wept it 'British' regional accents are among the worse noises made by the human voice box. Mad accent.
God Bless Jimi. He was so magnificently talanted he was one of a kind. Few people ever reach that status. He never seems to get old.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMI!!!!!
Jimi Hendrix would have been 81 today November 27 2023. He has the same birthday as Bruce Lee who would have been 83 today.

Great stuff, very detailed.
This is a GREAT video! Lots of killer information!! I'm sharing the hell out of this! I just wish that scratchy sound wasn't hanging off every spoken word. But it's amazing all the future famous people that were around him in those early days!!
Echo and the Bunnymen??? Oh yeah! THAT Echo and the Bunnymen!! 🤣🤣🤣
I like what Little Richard said in that one film (I forget the name) "Jimi got all up under my toes!" That's one way of saying that Jimi upstaged him!!
Don Covay looks a bit like Jimi in that photo. (Or vice-versa.) Never heard about that, or most things in this video! Great docu•mation!
Rosewood fretboard, Maple neck
Get on with it !!!!!!
Little Richard was upstaged by Jimi Hendrix.
Isn't upstaging part of the act?
Very informative video. Excellent. I wonder what kind of English accent that is.
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed my documentary. I'm from London I suppose you can call my accent a cockney accent which is sadly dying out in London now.
@@professormemorabilia3499 Have you ever heard of this story? "Kathy Etchingham spoke of an incident that took place in a London pub in which an intoxicated Hendrix beat her with a public telephone handset because he thought she was calling another man on the pay phone. Carmen Borrero, another girlfriend, says she required stitches after he hit her with a bottle after drinking and becoming jealous."
Dig It!
Last comment ... That was a enjoyable watch many thanks for the commitment and for sharing Jimi to others who may not have heard of him before. Unlike his Sister and owner of his estate trying to keep everything behind a paywall. All the best.
I bet you she tried getting this blocked or at least stealing your ad revenue.
Chris Stamp was another great character from that era. RIP Chris. Used to love listening to Christ Stamp just talking. He had just the greatest talking voice. And a really lovely guy. I just really liked him.
Sam Brown was also a Backing singer for Pink Floyd for a while. She wasn't great. She also appeared with them at Knebworth 90. But It was Clare Torry who would sing Great Gig in the sky at that show, but she would normally sing a verse of that with two other girls during the Pink Floyd Pulse tour.
Mitch Mitchell what a Man, What a character, what a fucking Drummer. He was could play like no one else. Highly Missed. That cheeky Grin.
Noel was playing for ''Fat Mattress'' when he auditioned for Experience. He played Guitar normally. But well he was handed a bass. I think they were a great band together.
Fat mattress was formed in 1968 just before Noel left the experience .....
Winwood was a great keyboard player for Jimi. Shame they didn't work together more often.
If I recall it was at the Scotch Club at 13 Mason's Yard that Jimi first played with Eric and blew him away. He played Killing Floor. And it made Eric go outside for a cigarette, and when asked by Chas what he thought he said ''Chaz, You said he was good. You didn't say he was THAT Good. I'm Going home to practise''.
It was at the Regent Street Polytechnic where he sat in with Cream. Eric had not really heard of him yet. Eric did not know how to play Killing Floor but he went along with it and Jimi just went for the jugular...@ weeks later Eric had his hair permed
I am not sure the scotch club thing was with ''Cream'' though. Just Eric's first encounter. But thats only how I remember it. But its been about 30 years now since I was reading and absorbing. So if I am wrong I am happy to stand corrected. Nice one.@@sm1tty031
Imagine if Jimi could of used a Synclavia 😮😮😮😮😮
What a Power Trio The Experience was. One of the greatest bands ever created. You need a new Mic. You sound like Jimmy from Quadrophenia lol. Great vid.
Fantastic!
I put this off for a few days, because I thought it might not be that good... but I ended up really liking it a lot. I liked all the 'soundbite' clips too! I give it, 5 out of 5 juicy pink tacos!!🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Please stay tuned to this channel I'm in the middle of doing another documentary about another artist coming soon.
This is soooo amazing the history of jimi Hendrix
Thanks mate.
Enjoyed this.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks mate.
Brilliant job!! Are you gonna do more Jimi docu’s?? 🙏🏻😀
Hi yes I will be doing more documentaries on Jimi Hendrix along with many other musicians and other subjects in entertainment it just takes me a little bit of time to make them. Thanks mate i'm glad you enjoyed it.
well done!
i'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks mate.
Typo in the title, the first JHE single wasn’t “Hay Joe”, it was “Cotton Eye Joe”
Wow.. what a huge misprint that was. Thanks for the info..
? never heard of it
This is great 😀💪🏾👍🏾
Thank you ❤
Zzzzzz...
What a good job on your production. One of my favorite records. Fantastic Photographs and trivia details. I wonder if the Chas Chandler/Jimi talking part in 3rd Stone was influenced by the Star Trek series
Sir I love how you examine the albums from different countries including The U.S.
Including Barclay records.
Jimi was all over the place.
Who took the picture of Jimi and the two members of The Experience?
Thanks for showing a picture of Noel Redding's mother.
I like the English version as well. Jimi looks like a wrestler with a cape on.
the Who stole the show and owned the night
Originally released on Track records, 1967.
Jimi's first guitar burning when he was in England decades ago.
The Astoria is now an evangelical church, pass it a lot when I'm in the area. Always think of Hendrix first burning his guitar there before Monterey. Horrid grim place Finsbury Park these days, seems weird one of rock's seminal moments has its' origins there.
There was two shows at the festival with Jimi Hendrix a day show and a night show I saw the day show I am in the pictures in the audience he probably burned it on the Night Show I will ask around
Wow that must have been a great performance. Yes Jimi did burn the guitaron the Night Show at the Astoria. Thank you for your kind comment. Please stay tuned to this channel for more videos
I'm going to have to check out who the Walker Brothers were... ;) Also, anyone who hasn't seen it should watch Chris Squireäs fabulous retelling of his first encounter with Jimi while preparing for a gig at the Marquee. Squire's cunningly laid-back retelling of it brings out all the many comic points of the story: ua-cam.com/video/eo-lBnTc3So/v-deo.html
