Tight line angler
Приєднався 21 жов 2012
For the past 18+years I have been working in the power line industry. It has been an awesome journey to say the least and I have met some amazing people along the way! Love building those tight lines!…I’m also a father to three beautiful girls! Raising and watching them grow up to be the women they are today has truly been one gods greatest blessings! Growing up myself, I always had great passion for the outdoors. I was never the type kid who would stay in the house all day! Every day after school or in the summertime I would be outside with a fishing rod or a rifle in my hand. While my wife and I were raising our girls, I would always take them fishing and hunting with me as often as I could talk them into it 😂! I did my best to share that same passion for the outdoors with them. Now that they are older, in college’s and building their own lives… I don’t get that opportunity anymore or at least not as much. So now I am making these videos and share those moments with you!

New spot was LOADED with REDFISH!

Took a chance on exploring a new location. Moses lake was on point today! Found a lot of very skittish redfish stacked in a little back pocket of water on the north end of the lake. I had to throw multiple type's of lures just to figure out what they were after and in the end it was a soft plastic shrimp imitation click bait lure!....WHAT A BLAST!!!!

Hitting the drains & grass lines in a nearby marsh in Freeport Tx. fishing for redfish!
Переглядів 1,1 тис.5 місяців тому
When out in to a nearby and local marsh system in Freeport Tx. just an hour after a severe thunder storm had past and having only a five hour window before another storm was predicted to head my way. I decided to make a quick trip out to fish an incoming tide. While working grass lines I came across an underground drain pipe that had lots of water flow with bait coming out of it and was able to...

New marsh!! New friends! Better fish!
I have found that keeping lure up in the top of water column and going medium-medium fast usually gets those trout to bite under lights
you launch at swan?
Yes sir
Nice catch! 🎣
😘
Nice trout bro
Thank you sir!
I have been wanting to make my way out there would it be difficult to make it there with a peddle kayak looks like you have to cross the channel
Yes, but it’s really not that difficult to cross … but after you cross the channel it gets super shallow… then it’s hand paddling the rest of the way.
@@Tightlineangler thanks man I appreciate the info
@@sprad199118 yes sir! Any time!
am lures makes a small size of their lure that i throw in glow color in the lights like that, gets bit just as good as when i free line shrimp
Nice!
You think they will still run SSS with the rain storms coming this week?
Yeah, I think so. Saturday is still looking good.
Galveston is already starting to flood and it hasn't started raining yet. Promise you them trout won't be in the same spot come Saturday with all this rain heading the this way.
Yeah, you’re probably right! But I don’t think anybody’s gonna know where they’re going to be until they find them.🤙
Need to learn to show your lures on camera. You can see them, we can’t.
Yeah, sorry about that. I couldn’t see which way the camera was facing. Did not know. I only captured half of the lure. It was the only footage that I have so I went with it. Will work on it in the future. Thanks for watching.
nice work man. keep em coming!
Thank you and thanks for watching!🤙🤙
I fish the same areas. Love our bay system. Cheers!
Cheers! Thanks for watching!

@yoink_fishing it can be really good sometimes depending on tide movement and water levels! Thanks for watching and the subscription!
Beautiful work! And it’s an amazing hobby. I’m going on my 50th build myself. Keep up the good work
Thank you so much for the comment! I’ve made probably about 15 rods giving them away to friends and family! Hopefully I can find away to sell a few to keep the hobby going! At about $120.00 per rod build it’s become an expensive hobby 😂. But extremely fun one at that. Tight lines brother! Thanks again!
Nice bro!!

Hello! New sub here…My name is Travis and I was born in Wharton and raised in Angleton. I myself love the outdoors and I spent countless hours fishing Christmas Bay, Bastrop Bay and Drum Bay. Back in 99 I followed my job with a promotion to Illinois and been here since and oh how I miss the sounds and smell of that Texas coastline. Could you possibly do me a huge favor and take your kayak to the east shoreline of Christmas Bay for trout and the oyster reefs of Bastrop Bay and fish some topwater or popping cork for me? Maybe this could be your first video request 😊
Absolutely! I fish Christmas bay quite often around rattlesnake point! Haven’t been up to bastrop in the yak due to the distance. But will definitely consider it sense I’ve never had a video request before! And with any luck I will be able to share it on youtube and give you a shout out!!🤙🤙
@@Tightlineangleroh yeah rattlesnake was my duck hunting spot for bluebills and blue wing teal!! God I miss it down there so bad! Lol
Nice vid 🤙
No picture!!! Voice is perfect!
Terrible channel
Cast on the edges of working birds and fish deep. That's where the larger trout are.
Great tip! Thanks a lot. I guess just sometimes in the moment of working birds we all just cast as much as we possibly can. Will give that a shot the next time. Never thought of it and thanks for watching!
Great night fishing
I would have been GONE if I seen that shark. (You think Jesus walked on water) That S is scary as F.

The big trout come out at 3am under the lights. I used to smoke them in Pirates Cove. Mostly small until really really late (early). Same on Pirates Beach if the surf is flat, 3 am you can catch monsters from the beach to the first bar. Surf part helps if there is a full moon.
Thanks for tip and thanks for watching!
How long did it take you to aquire all the fishing gear and how much have you spent?
@@Tightlineangler I use to golf alot but it's at least 30 dollars a game now so I switched to fishing and spent a few hundred for all the necessities the kayak is my last major purchase to make apart from a specific reel I'm looking to get for my surf rod. How much did that kayak set you back?
@@Tightlineangler kayaks a bit out of my price range one day I'll be fortunate enough to purchase a high end one I've got plenty of rod combos I'm fairly impulsive so im currently spending around 150 a month on various gear, line, lures, and bait. That will reduce as I get more accustomed to fishing the right scenarios. You've caught more fish in this one video then I've caught all year. 😆 I'm getting out to the lakes more often recently so I hope to increase my success rate and depending on the size of my next check I may pick up a cheap kayak to expand my lake access. Appreciate you taking the time to discuss a few things with me and I look forward to seeing more content from you. Hopefully the channel takes off so you can make some money on these investments.
Let’s get it. The only way you get good at UA-cam is to keeping making these videos! Sorry gonna have to ask you to fish more.
Great way to salvage a tough day. You just had to threaten to leave before the fish start to bite 🤣
X-Mas Bay was so beautiful yesterday, May 23rd. We limited out on 27 3/4" Tournament Reds on cut mullet while out in the Old Town Salty's Kayaks. No winds, clear water & tons of bait! We were fishing 4' guts. I'm really surprised we didn't see or catch Specs. The Shad were so thick you could see what looked like deep water but it was just full of Shad & Mullet. Holy Crap it was a great day! Ever since I started using live finger mullet, we've Limited out everytime! If I throw paddle tails, spoons or you name it in that same gut? Nothing! They want what's in there.
That’s awesome brother! Sounds like an amazing day! I haven’t been out to Christmas in a while… got a lot of new areas I’m about to go explore! “Goat island “ around bolivar & “port O’Connor”. Tight line’s brother and be safe!
Do you night fish the dock lights?
Sometimes @ sea isle pier but I usually don’t catch much other than dinks! Trout mostly!
I feel your pain on this pesky wind lately! Nice catches for sure!
