I think it will works well with BO3, 1st, in BO3 deck are mostly slow, so this deck has time to build up, 2nd and which I preferred, the deck has couple of win con, which is why its hard to sideboard against.

oh man. sorry I mostly play janky deck, thats why i didnt consider playing it in much competitive settings. and I play only on best of one because its easier to do a content that way, i mean its easier to showcase the deck against different deck. now if you consider using it on best one three, consider adding some gy hate, enchantment/artifact hate, and board wipe.

Its ppssible if they cast an instant or sorcery. But theres a work around this like bargain or they could tap the cursed to make a copy of a spell, then cast disenchant spell to destroy the cursed, since they tap the recording it will make a copy of the disenchant spell, the copy will resolve first and since its a copy not a spell it will not trigger the cursed recording to add a counter on it. And since the cursed recording are destroyed even its effect are on the stack they wont take damage since theres no counter on it. I hope ive explain it well.

I actually build a deck around ashiok ulti. It just that its hard to pull off. Maybe ill revisit that idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

I mean. To get to -7 of ashoik was easy, but exiling the opponent entire library was the hard part.. Now thiinking about it. Maybe i could use eye og cthulhu or ghost vacuum pr something.

@@kcryle_gaming Maybe using Black Leyline or Rest in Peace, and some Deadly Cover-Up, I think it could work in Orzhov or Abzan.

you need to put cards on your exile for ashiok ult to work, thats why im looking at abzan and do a self mill. my only concern is theres some cards that I dont want to mill such as staff of completion, its necessary to ult ashiok and you need two of them on the field or have way to untap it. to ult ashiok once it play it. and since you pay life to use staff of completion it will trigger ashiok static ability that will add some cards on your exile pile.

@@kcryle_gaming With Overlord of the Balemurk, it could be a good option for discarding cards to the graveyard. If I remember correctly, I think there's a white spell that returns a creature or artifact and puts counters on it. Sorry for not remembering the names of the cards; I'm still a beginner and learning more complex mechanics. Anyway, I really like your channel! Glad you like them! This version of the deck was good so far, it just like I still feel it could still be improve since its lacking in some area.

in terms of Starving Revenant, I manage to full it off just a couple of times, but the handoff and grimoire combo, you dont need to have both cards in hand you could cast grimoire if you manage to control the board, then cast handoff if you draw it. but if your asking while im playing it how many times I pull it off, most often the opponent concede when they see bandits talent and liliana or by just controlling the board and the opponent dont have that much card in hands. or wait is this a question by the way?

I actually stop from including on the description how good the deck is or how busted, since my answer is always, it depends or its subjective, but one thing is for sure, I have a good time with it, and I didnt expect how good the doppelgang is, its expensive but once you resolve it can flip the board, and unable to scream was really good shutting some creatures.

sweet! yes you could draw your entire library with the grimoire and sheoldred or starving revenant, you might also consider adding valley floodcaller so you could cast jace at instant speed or any other spell.. wait! what? jace wielder of mysteries will reprint too?

@@kcryle_gaming no Jace reprint so that’s why I thought Starving might work, but it’s not foolproof because you can deck yourself.

i see. then step between words shuffle back your hand to library, or living conundrum you wont die for decking out.

I didn't use the crow because you need to flip it to trigger its ability and it cost more than handoff. but Ill consider it on the next version. and yeah we have the same thoughts, but while playing it, you need to pull off fast or get the combo on your hand as soon as possible, because you need to setup the board first and be clear against damage. but thats is for me, its a dangerous deck I lose a couple of time due to grimoire lol.

the artifact, if pair that with starving revenant it will otk on the draw if it survive and have descend 8. but im thinking a different approach like donate it to your opponent and shock them.

the deck will look like this Starving Revenant Marina Vendrell's Grimoire Bandit's Talent Fateful Handoff starving revenant as alternate win con, but the main idea is to use bandits talent or any other discard spell, then use fateful handoff to donate grimoire, and on upkeep of the opponent and if they have one card on hand they will lose 2 life because of bandits talent, discard a card due to grimoire ability, and lose the game. I'm also considering adding corrupt or any other damage or lose life spell.

if you search a root deck it always a self mill deck, so I figure if you can play it in a non self mill. which work somehow but It still feel a bit off to me. local meta. in arena? if it in arena try to play at different time, because for some reasons the meta shift at different time and at different day. weird but sometimes it is or im just speculating who knows lol.

@@kcryle_gaming nah I mostly play in paper and our local club is infested by mono red aggro and boros convoke. have you considered cards like honest rutstein and balustrade wurm? The deck seems pretty neat but I must admit that it's weird to see a roots deck that doesnt run cache grab lol

Wow, I miss playing on paper. Being able to interact with your opponent and trash talk them (in a humorous way) I miss the most. Now all I could do now is do a finger at the screen, lol. I dont feel like using Balustrade Wurn due to finality counter, and I prefer Urborg Repossession over Honest Rutstein since it can return roots on hand, but on the later game I cut it down to one copy only since it feels almost not needed.

I've already created a doomsday deck, check my previous videos, although its not dimir, until you remove squirming emergence, lol.

@@kcryle_gaming yeah. I just saw it now and I was wondering if removing squirming would make it less convoluted, plus with Dimir dual lands you can hard cast the excrutiator worse case scenario.

@@alaingamache3908 in that video someone commented it worked well even without squirming, I haven't tried though because my idea was to pull it off fast and consistent rather than controlling the board.
