I'm glad you are running Coronet Peak. I bought the card before Jarl was revealed and it seemed like no one was considering it. I felt like maybe I made a big mistake. Thanks for the early Jarl tech. My list was kind of similar, so I feel more confident.
as 'cool' as snow under is, isnt it practically just cartilage crush but needing an extra card?
cartilage crush needs to hit for at least 4 versus snow under only needs to land 1 point of damage. not a big difference but the difference is there.
Just running ice and generic guardian didn’t get there for my playtesting. Until full list is dropped fellings and plow unders needed. It also enable you to run barkskin and the earth legs. I hate civic steps so the earth legs are way better. Also this guy runs so many non attack actions with ice that barkskin enables big blocks.
Yeah I think maybe felling and plow under are just really good and need to be run? Idk, they are so clunky in this deck compared to Florian
@@BagelTCG the first one or two you will probalby block with to turn on the next rootbound or attack actions you decompose. Also considering summers fall for enigma tech.
I don't like early deck techs, I don't pay attention to them because we literally don't even have a weapon or his L which can dramatically shift everything , even some Ms can completely change the list if they are good buildarounds but BAGEL TCG THE BEST FAB CHANNEL DROPPED YET ANOTHER VIDEO I GUESS I'M BOUT TO WATCH A VETREIDI DECK TECH NOW
Lmao ty ily. I tried to make this one more theory-craft-y about what cards have potential and less "this is 100% his best deck on release"
Where's High octane? 😂
I completely forgot that in the high-budget version! Ugh thank you for the reminder, it should definitely be in that list. Will update it now
@@BagelTCGI would even argue it should go in the budget list, its a pretty cheap card and basically the most powerful thing dash io can do at the moment.
@ yeah that’s a good point, although it’s a bit pricier than I wanted the low budget version to be
Just change the title to: Dash IO post High Octane Ban upgrade guide
@ wait bro is kinda cooking… maybe me completely forgetting to include it was just future-proofing
I'm a Zen believer as much as I dont want to gain the points. He has an insanely good matchup spread and only has difficulties against the decks that lose to all of the other top tiers. I wouldn't put it past an enigma still, even though shes being held down by aggro. She does some busted stuff
I don't believe I have seen a Viserai list with 6 or less blues. Maybe the more yellow list but most are pretty consistent with 18 blues. I could see it with aurora and azalea but I just have not seen a tournament or pro (public) list running 6 or less blues outside maybe the yellow list. I don't believe Vis will have as much of an issue with Ice as azalea and aurora will.
Maybe it’s just internal testing but my team is running a list with 6 blues that can’t seem to lose! I’m sure we will see more at worlds
Interesting list, I think I agree generally. However, Oscilio has a better chance than you gave him here I think. He has a good Enigma matchup and is decent into most decks. Only really rough matchup is Azalea. The latest Oscilio lists are decently consistent and can have a very large combo turn plus decent follow up.
This video is perfect for new players. I found a lot of this information scattered across different sources over the past few days, but as a brand new player, I wish I had found this on day one. It's a concise and comprehensive guide that covers everything you need to know right off the bat.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that. Glad I could help :)
I started out playing a lot of Bravos but Muna has quickly become my favorite
pls do more alrered tech video
KLKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Imo we maybe support the official release by playing on BGA? What yall think?
Sweet decks, very insightful run downs. I’m looking forward to building lots of decks once the market and printer are ready.
Yo! Thanks for the video. Always happy to get good Altered stuff in English.
Does ExAltered have all the cards on it? I stop tracking much about it, but last I heard a long time ago they didn't let the creator add any more of the cards to it.
It has all the cards now :)
Thanks for doing this. The first deck I plan to make is going to be a low to the ground teija one.
Thanks for posting. Been doing a lot of deck building and testing ideas as well. I’m impressed with the variability this game offers straight out of the base set
This game is a lot of fun. My Friends enjoy it more than Fab for now. Let s see how it will go.....
prism in s tier is just crazy
Good stuff
I m going to disagree in certain rankings Afanas is at least an A tier because has an insane tempo value and can win easily with Small Step Giant Leap Nevenka is at least an A too, is the best hero for Lyra Festival. With Martengale can anchor at 0 mana which is crazy strong, if she rolls an anchor after T3/T4 can easily win the game and it's an hard counter to Waru and Gulrang Rin is a good hero, her effect is really powerful, maybe a but incosistent but when she starts making card advantage since the first turns she becomes unstoppable. The others are more or less close to mine, even if I think Waru wouldn't be that dominant because is really vulnerable to aggro and Teija a bit overvalued but still a strong hero. This is my tier at the moment: S: Nevenka, Gulrang A+: Treyst, Fen, Afanas, Teija, Sigismar A: Subhash, Waru, Rin B+: Lindiwe, Koji B: Sierra, Basira C+: Auraq, Arjun C: Atsadi
Think dio really works with all this arcane damage around. Really easy to get barrier. Although i think victor is kinda terrifying with kano nerfed.
Maxx in c? He just won a big tournament in bologna and didn't get any nerfs
Bologna isn't a real place, and Maxx can't hurt me
Re-upload? Am I crazy and saw this this already?
Apologies, trying a new system where I upload as a video a smaller portion of my live stream. Do you think it would be better to just do the livestream itself? This system feels better for viewers who just want to watch the video itself, although maybe I am taking too long after the livestream finishes haha.
HIjacked comment I made on the KojoMain reaction : Great video! That said, I'm a man on a mission to prove that Atsadi is worth it, and I truly believe most people have no clue on how to build an Atsadi deck. People take his power as a payoff for playing big creatures. The thing is that's not a payoff, it's an enabler for playing a more controlly style deck that can take on the ressources of your opponent. It allows you to drag the game for longer than most deck can sustain. That way, Atsadi is much better than his Kojo counterpart for some matchup such as Afanas/Basira and Big Red Mirrors. It also absolutely stomps others control decks such as Akesha. (Kojo has better matchups against Sigismar tho) Speaking of big red, the core of an Atsadi deck isn't even made of big creature. The absolute core is constitued of small characters that will effectively act as an "after you" + some stats. Big creatures are only there when it's time to force your opponent to throw up the rest of their ressources they keep in hand. This probably won't change your opinion on it. I would love to share my decklist, but I prefer not to until a big tournament next month. I will come back to edit this comment with the decklist after the tournament. Aswell with some toughts on how it performed (Tho it's absolutely destroying things at my lgs ^^)
Do you believe Kayo might LL on Rosetta ?
Wouldn’t be surprised!
Kano was already an auto win for teklo before disolver. Teklo pretty much is only really worried about enigma and kayo currently with zen gone nad with all the new cards and 6 sideobard slots open teklo might have his time soon
How Teklo won against Kano xD ?
Kano absolutely dunks teklo? I’m really confused where your info is coming from that kano is free for teklovossen. He’s literally kano’s best matchup and it’s not close.
@T0croissant two stragaties mostly. First, boost teklo to try and keep value while playing semi defensive to make it to singularity. 2nd version is just play hyper defensively constantly blocking and putting on more evo until singularity. Both versions you want to save your terminator tanks and war machines until you have all 4 slots equipped so you can guarantee the disruption. It's not an easy match at all. I'd say 40-50% win rate into kayo.
@@infinitecardz did you mean Kano the Wizard or Kayo the brute? Your initial post says Kano but this one is Kayo
@ravenrio2659 oh sorry. Kano is easy. Start with vis model I and use 2x of each of the new ab instant evo cards. Play boost and put pressure on and boost away your own stuff. Don't take out any of the regular evo because they're blues. By turn 2-4 you'll be at ab3-5 and at that point you just attack and block until gg
Dash armory deck gives max a lot of upgrades. He straight up gains 2 life via the new equipment and fast and furious replaces 1 of the bad hyper driver counter cards
Vynnset is C is certainly a take with all the bombs she got
u gotta up ur opinion on maxx soon man
I would at least give Dash I/O A tier.... she will be the fastes one in the field with the new cards.
You know Vynnset gets some amazing support this set ah?
Some wild takes Kano in D
Always love to be make the most wild takes on my pre-release tier lists!
Lol I'm sorry mate but that speculative list is bad because prism is certainly not a tier after book ban and kassai is kassai you can't win vs enigma or good wizard and will struggle to verdance too
Cool list even though i disagree with a lot of it. You should do this again once the meta shakes out a bit
Heya! Thank you for the content! Is there a recent budget list out there? Or would you wait until Rosetta releases? I got a Kayo armory deck for birthday this week and bought a few cards to upgrade it, but I also bought a Oldhim blitz deck and enjoy the guardian play style a lot, so I am considering buying a Bravo deck, but I do not want to toss another 200€, just for armory events. Although I would like to go as competitive as possible, if possible with a viable upgrade path for the future. Thank you for your time! And sorry for being so straight forward.
I have a some-what updated list of budget decks here: www.bagel-tcg.com/budget-decks I do think Victor is the stronger guardian right now so I would recommend trying him first :)
Gonna disagree with you on one thing : Seasoned is rerally strong, yes with anchored you don't have to replay the card but in both basira and afanas have helping hand a 1/2 cost card that give 1 boost and remove fleeting, 2nd benefit from helping hand : mage-dancer + helping hand give him 3 boost making it a 4/4/4 for 2~4 mana and drawing you a card. And with card like magical training you can boost character for one and draw a card. So in the end you have an aggro deck that can have a lot of card in the hand and answer almost anything. To make justice on basira. Yes you need to first give one boost then you can activate her ability, a LOT of cards in bravos gain boost or give boost so the effect is really is to trigger and with card like Red or Blade dancer you can easily grow them to 6/6/6~8/8/8 with the help of helping hand or Brovos vanguard. Last point Haven, Bravos bastion is a really strong card!!! Basira and Kojo are in B or A at the moment for me.
Helping hand does make seasoned better, and I wasn't trying to say that seasoned was weak at all, I was just saying it is not as mana efficient as anchored! Seasoned is still a powerful synergy with boosts.
Nice video! I do believe Kojo and Basira are to low on this list. Kojo is a very flexible hero with a lot of good different builds. Looking forward how the meta is going to look and if your view will be different in a couple of months!
I do think Basira has some strong synergies and is likely better than I am giving her credit for. Kojo I am not as sure about, the hero ability is really underwhelmin g
I think an important part of Nevenka is that you can decide when to roll. If you already lose the day, but the buff wins you the day (or ties) then just roll. If its a 1 you haven't really lost anything because nothing changed. You could even try to high roll to get a lucky 6 to get you something for next today because you lost this one already anyway. Feels a bit like scabskin from FAB but with even less risk.
Yeah I think Nevenka is stronger than she initially looks
Nice to see you covering altered, it picked my interest aswell! I might be wrong, but is the intro of the video missing?
Kind of, I cropped it from a live stream I did earlier! Will try to make it smoother in the future. Thanks for the support :)
I'm sorry but can you edit your videos there's 9-10 minutes of nothing and the video felt so long even in x2 speed
Heyo! This is just the livestream VOD, a shorter & edited version is coming in a day or two!
Cool perspective of how the meta might shape up, it will be interesting to see how well some of the decks are carried by the core cards and possibly uniques to a lesser extent. Im curious how it will play out as a competitive game and what kind of support they put into a larger tournament scene and online play. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much!
Thanks for putting together this tier list, it's very interesting to hear your thoughts on each of these. Gavken's comments below are also a worthy read. Nice food for thought!
If you ever want to do some game-play during a stream, let me know! :)
@@BagelTCG Cheers! I'll see what I can do, but for now a more important question I have would be if you're fine with me talking about your tierlist in a little video of my own that I'm planning! Like a reaction video, kind of. Would you be fine with that?
@@KojoMainjust saw this but of course :) wish UA-cam would notify me of responses as well, not just initial comments haha
I think Lindiwe is currenty D tier. There just are not the cards in the pool to make the deck kick at the moment. She may get better, but I don't see her figuring highly in the current meta
I mostly agree, but if you can get a single sacrifice with Maw out you’re already getting 2/2/2 a turn which is above rate, so I don’t think you need that much to come together for her to get some value. Definitely B is me being optimistic and as I said in the video she’s more likely C
@@BagelTCG I think she's currently D tier. Whatever you play to sacrifice will have cost you mana so that 2/2/2 is actually not above rate.
Teiga is good, but definitely NOT broken. I would put her B tier at the moment. You say that you are getting double value out of her boost, well the same applies for Basira. She puts her boosts on Seasoned characters who come back from reserve with all those boosts on them. You are actually getting much more value from Basira than you are with Teiga.
I think she’s the strongest hero in the meta after Waru, so in the current roster I would say she’s S or A tier. Basira doesn’t get the guaranteed value, she can miss it once or twice, and has way less access to anchored. Seasoned is worse than anchored since you have to pay for it again instead of having it stay for free, so Basira is generally worse value overall, and has access to a worse card pool
@@BagelTCG Strongly disagree on access to a worse card pool. Bravos Bladedancer is insane value as is Haven.
Basira and Teija play similar with their boosts. Teija is not that flexible, always the first char, where Basira can choose which char she boosts and when. This timing is a big upside, since the longer you wait, the more chance your char will not be removed and you may snipe a expedition. Seasoned and Anchored are both excellent abilities and are similar with different upsides. Yes anchored chars stay a turn extra, but will go down in reserve and lose all their boosts. While Seasoned chars will not. Bravos has some nice toolkit with removing fleeting. Which means you can play your seasoned chars again and again, most have -> triggers so even more value. The card pool of Bravos is not worse but different. When building deck for the heroes, I normally have a hard time getting only 15 rares in haha
Cloth Cocoon is good, but not the best removal. There is removal that is guaranteed to work and Cloth Cocoon is not that. Note a Cloth Cocoon on its own will probably never remove a Hydracaena as it probably will never go to reserve and thus have a fleeting counter on it.
Yes, cloth cocoon will not hit everything and is not the best removal in every circumstance, but it is the cheapest with no downside that hits *most* things. Mana reaping and banishing gate are the best two for hitting anything, but reaping gives the opponent a resource and gate cost 1 more (they are still both premium removal as well though).
With Atsadi you are not playing one five cost spell a turn. You are ramping and playing multiple high cost spells, so you should win both sides. His deck has problems though as it can come out backwards which is why he's (currently) not seen as good in the meta.
Completely disagree that Basira is a below average Hero in the Meta. You are analysing their core abilities here not the meta. Now a good Basira deck will likely hit boosts every turn except the first one. The difference between Teiga and Basira is that Basira can put her boost on ANY character you want, not on the one who got the boost. Teiga HAS to put her boost on the first card you play, which is often not the character you want to put the boost on. This is a very critical difference between the two. Then you need to look at the cards supporting the deck and Haven is insanely good with Basira.
Haven is great, but the Muna card pool is just much stronger in removal & top end overall that Bravos, and the access to more anchored makes Teija get easier hero ability value
@@BagelTCG Sorry I still disagree that the Muna pool is stronger. If your argument was that the Ordis pool is stronger I might have agreed with that statement, but not Muna.
I only got back into mtg because I was able to play it again in the app. I’m not going to spend money on a game I’ve never played. Make an app. The game will blow up.
There is Talishar, if you want to try the game on a digital platform. It's completely with but most people playing on it are usually veterans using it to practice the game. There wont be an official digital game like Magic Arena.
Lightseekers went hybrid digital and physical. It sort of ended up all digital in the end.
Always love how you lay out information in your videos. Looking forward to deck techs and gameplay from you, I will definitely give it a try!
This is so nice thank you!
