Amazing lesson brother thank you
Thanx for your comment Bro!
Dude you Rock!! Finally found what I was looking for. 💪💪💪
Thanx Mate! Glad you like it. :-)
I really don't understand this video
Hey, maybe then, you need to go a step back, using only the MM1 or simply stay with the major modes.
halo! great video Sascha, i think the link for the file is missing. Waiting 4 more!
Hey Man! Thank you so much, also for the Info! Please check again it may work again. All the best, more is coming. ;-)
Natural Solo Please, thanks
?
Nice!
Thanx! N' Eis?
Your channel is fire. It help a lot, thank u❤
That is so kind Antonio! I Appreciate your words and it makes me glad, I can help! Take care man!
Great bass and playing. Wish they would make them in 6 or 4 string, since I don’t play 5 strings.
Thanx Barend!
Always awesome content bro!!
Thank you very much
Hi Sascha great videos, can you do more videos on the melodic minor, altered scale and how to apply it on chord progressions, the Hadrien Feraud videos are great, keep posting your great videos, thank you!
Thank you man. They will come...
fucking amazing
Thanx Bro!
Hey Mister Lovely Bass Pal , those " Giant Steps" are just wonderful timeless companions of ours to expand and advance ... thanks to Mr John for the matrix and thanks to Mr Sascha for a brilliant performance and sound :-))) Love it Mate ... R
Thanx Mate! ❤️
Love how the neck pickup on a burner sounds very similar to an Anthony jackson presentation
Yeah man! And it varys so much depending on the wood and pick up configuration. This one is especialy warm, soft and creamy whilst sitting perfect in the mix.
Wow, those pickups are REALLY close to the string. At least it looks like it. Some killer playing there! 🔥
Thanx man! Yeah, they are! Hadrien told me in order to adjust them like his bass, I am suppossed to raise them even closer! But thats too close for me.. 😂
one of the scariest videos on youtube! wow! :(
I'm sorry that it scared you!
Very great mein Lieber 👌 🤘🔥🖤🔥🤘
Thank you very much!
I really feel like not using a pick is a major mistake for playing Meshuggah tunes Like how would your fingertips could possibly recreate an attack such as this : ua-cam.com/video/JOR0hUIGb4Y/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Mugenloo
Yeah, and that's totally okay if you feel like this. As I say in the video, I took a different approach. The music in your link is a complete different Song and Groove.
Great work.. I’ve always wondered what its like doing 1st fret bends on a bass thats tuned up half a step? Would dick use light gage strings? I think this is in A# tho
Hey Man, yes A#. I think it sounds better with medium or heavy gauge. I didnt do something special and had my medium on.
Hey! Great video! But shouldn´t the third note of the three-note pattern be an 8th note?
Thanx Man! Well if you do a notation of the whole song, probably yes. Understanding the pattern for itself, as well as the articulation of it in a staccato style, I find it easier to approach this way.
Great video
Thanx Joseph!
It sounds t4chnical and all but i find the riff boring
That's ok.
The whole point of this riff is to be hypnotic.
na dann musst du doch auch mal was zu dem David von den Wiesbadener Jungens von Unprocessed machen ;-)). Ich vermisse Joni Mitchell und ihren Bassisten ...
:-), da will ich lieber bei meinen Leisten schustern... ;-)
Amazing, do you still have this bass? I need some help about pickups position
...yes it is. Shoot.
@@SaschaOnBass i need the distance between the 12 fret and neck pickup and the bridge pickup, tankyou
@@miqueiasmedrado5071 24th fret to Front Pickup: 10cm Bridge to Rear Pickup: 5cm Space batween Pickups: 7cm I took the measures with or from each center (middle) of the pickup
12th to Front Pickup: 31,5cm 12th to Rear Pickup: 38,7cm took from each center ofmth Pick up.

Playing with a B3 organ player is never easy 🙂
That depends on the Organ Player. :-)
👍👍👌
Rock die Bude kollege
Yes Kollege!
Low action is for wimps 😂 high action is the pajama jammy jam just ask John patatucci. Try it I used to be a low action loser now I’m high action and getting mad bizatches. Fingers have more power. I can dig a 8 ft trench with my fingers without a sweat and rip out the average humans tonsils.
Good stuff minus all the fish hooks 🪝 in your face 😂 joking be you mango pants.
Says the one with all that green hair around his body... very clever! But only an asshole would write such comments 😂 Joking
@@SaschaOnBass it’s whole ass sir
Thanks man for sharing, you are an amazing player, love your playing ✌️this is one the videos I was searching for 😊
Thank you so much Emra! I'll soon do the same Video with Minor 7. 😉
Will look forward to it ✌️ you are the best teacher on UA-cam 🙏 keep going. Can you also do a video on how to create lines like Hadrian Feraud? I will appreciate that..
@@SaschaOnBass and what effects do you use for your sound? 😊
Yeah
Very cool playing and I really dig your tone. It's all a bit advanced for me still, but very inspirational! Do you have any good resources for modal/chordal drones to be used for such exercises?? Thx!
Thanx Man. I am not sure what you mean by "modal/chordal drones". Especially "Drones" in that context.
@@SaschaOnBass Yes, I can see how that was not very well worded... I realize that drones are mainly on one note (e.g., C), but sometimes there are chordal drones that drone on a chord (surprise 😁), but those are rare. I was just wondering whether you know of good places to find, e.g., droning dominant chords to practice melodic minor modes over (as described in one of your other videos)? Of course, instead of drones, these could just as well be one-chord backing tracks with drums, I guess. Maybe I'll have to make them myself 🤔 Thanks!
Thanks so much!! I just found your channel and you have so much great (and helpful) videos...😎💙
Hey Man! Thank you too! I am glad you're here too!
Nice playing! I saw that you upgraded this bass with a mike pope flexcore preamp, do you think it's worth the upgrade? thx! 😁
Absolutely. So far I bought 4 Popes cause I love them. With this old Burner, the Preamp sounded okay but I did not liked the way it worked.
@@SaschaOnBass thank you! I will do the same with mine 😁
Great!!
Much Appreciation Rogier! 🙏
Sounds great indeed! The bass and you 💪🏾
Thanks so much Rogier! I admire you're playing, so this means a lot!
@@SaschaOnBass thank you😊. You sound great!
Gracias sascha!
Danke Franco! :-)
Nice
Thanks!
i love your videos!!! soooo nice, danke Sascha, bester Mann!!!! geil, gut weiter so..... bassheaven!!! bitte mehr davon,. besser C-moll a-maj als a-moll - c-maj. wobei auch vieles in Pullmoll gut klingt...
I love you auch! So oft ich kann! :-)
What's the book (degrees explained) title?
"Jazz HArmony - Think, Listen, Play A Practical Approach" by Frank Sikora
ahhh, found the back story of this bass here!! how did u discover it? by chance on ikebe? Also... wow, does hajime ever make BSR styled basses? Ken smith must be upset! haha
Yes. I had just big time luck that it was sold in my area.
That's a gorgeous ken smith! Is that the one made in Japan, the burner? The Bridge pickup looks super close to the bridge unlike other Ken Smith Burners. And I didnt know Japan made ones (if it is) was made in the BSR style! haha. Can u share some history on that bass?
Hey, thank you! I dont have too much of a back story to this. But it is labeled #1. But as far as I know, back in the ninties, the build burner BSR Shapes. Evan Marien's Burner is a famous example of it and I think John Smith (Son of Ken) did some Videos of BSR Burners. Since its hard to find details of the 90's Burners, it's hard to find details on the Burners. :-) But, as this is a younger one (2021) I has different pickups with exposed Poles ( I hide them with duck tape) and an american Smith Bridge. Still evertime I play it, I am amazed by its sound on each pickup as well as the preamp.
