Congratulations on your market In my last market, I decided to have a clearance basket and put the things that weren't selling and older because it's just taking up space in my already cramped house and I was happy to get the price of yarn back so I could make new and different items for my display. So I don't think selling at a lower price devalues you, it gives people a bargain (which is what markets originally were about) it makes way for new makes and we are always wanting to progress with our craft, so it is a win-win in my opinion

Hi Monique. I really enjoy your UA-cam channel and your openness. I too enjoy crocheting as a hobby, and not as a business. Crocheting blankets are my favorite things to make. My family members tell me all the time to sell my blankets. That would take the fun out of crocheting for me. I admire those crafters who can maintain their joy making and selling the stuff they make but for now I make and give the blankets away. I missed seeing your videos while you were on vacation and I’m glad you are back. Hope to see you soon.

Sometimes this is the danger of turning hobbies into businesses. It can be hard to separate I just want to do this for me vs. is this needed for my side hustle. Keep personal pleasure and growth in mind too. I make handmade jewelry and sew accessories. After making more than I could ever need and gifts for family and friends, I turned it into an Etsy shop so I could keep making. Making items that were popular in my shop weren’t items that inspired me. After a year I was completely burned out. Closed my shop and stop doing both. Daughter did same thing with multiple hobbies. It can be a fine line. Take care and best wishes!!
