Great to see this dedication for much needed research to further our understanding of the complexity of health and wellness for BIPOC women! Your sensitivity to building the relationships through time to establish trust is crucial. I look forward to the next installment of Plants, People, and Culture.
What a delight to come across Dr. Perez-Stable. As a nurse, I was assigned to his clinic as my FIRST NURSING JOB. The patience he had for me.... Many of his patients were Spanish-speaking. I was not. Immediately started learning Spanish very poorly. I don't think I ever let on because of how bad my Spanish was. Dr. Perez-Stable also entertained my many, many questions even those I was not there to learn like our many Residents. I asked questions way out of my scope by it was all so fascinating to me. I only wished I still worked with him during these very trying medical times! Cheers if you're out there Doctor. I still see some of your wonderful patients.
That was great, so much amazing information. Thank you all for your time and effort, it was above and beyond. Dr. Eliseo Perez-Stable, absolutely inspiring and motivating to hear your story and process. I relate to you in many ways and hope that I can have such a positive affect on the world, like you. I’m just beginning my career and you are changing my life, I’m looking for next steps after my graduation and my path is evolving especially because of the work you do.
