I hope Lottery "lick any are hole with a name"Lady-boy Carol now looks back on this video and can see how he was Played like a fiddle off Adair and probably dozens of others who he admired and wanted to be associated with, believing he was a "Charlie Big Balls",when in fact he was being squeezed like a sponge for cash, laughed at and looked pathetic! Although I'm very sure that these acquaintances will still be rallying around him now he's blown his fortune(possibly not at all) I actually do genuinely hope he has learned a lesson from this, quite a valuable one.

My mate walked around the corner minutes after stone killed Mcpolin in old Warren estate in Lisburn. He was on his way to school and he saw mcpolin crawling on the road with the skin blown off his fingers (obviously he had put his hands up when stone shot in through the car window). Tore him up really bad (my friend, emotionally) he was dismissed from school that day

What a lot of loyalists didn’t understand that there were Catholics like me who would have fought for my Protestant friends if any republican came for them. My loyalty lay with my family and friends, not some ideology

  • @chanratt

Catholic here brought up during the troubles but never picked a side. Every one of my friends growing up was Protestant. No matter how much hassle I got growing up of knowing people who got killed I never picked a side. It was all f@@king worthless. 2 people who are indistinguishable from each other killing for what? Who controlled the government? F@@k that. I just went on with my life with no hate for anyone. Having said that, I had sympathy and understanding for both points of view in this conflict.

How on earth was this guy allowed to parade around in South Armagh. I am from the USA but my family comes from south armagh. When i went there and would go out it was like all eyes were on me and a general "who is this guy"...I dont know if this just a result of years of needed isolation or something more..But its actually a little much. I have no idea how anyone could have done this in THE NINETEEN SEVENTIES

I was reading a book, once about Capt.Nairac, and the subtext of the book, indicated that Nairac was desperate to fit in, any identity, whether as a Guards officer or the South Armagh Irish identity, certainly, not beholden to outsiders, even within Ulster. What amazes me, was Nairac's 'Lawrence of Arabia' syndrome, too focused on himself, and full of bravado, without weighing up the hideous dangers prowling around South Armagh, and not working with the scheme of things.I think Nairac was a loose cannon and frankly, abandoned to be killed, too much, 'Boys Own Paper' officer and not enough understanding of his dangerous irrationality, l am surprised that the Army did not do a psychological assessment of Nairac's suitability to be a leader of men, he should have been the last of the old imperial Army officers in Hong Kong, safely sipping his pink gin in the club, nas a public schoolboy with little experience of life, not the tribal warfare of South Armagh, a real tragedy. Also the book indicated he had no regular girlfriend to keep him ,'grounded", too eager to do his thing, in the Grenadier Guards, 'his card was marked', what a senseless glorious fool, Nairac was at times.
