    So I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you on the healing. You have to make space and/or take cover to use it, you can't just use the potions in front of a boss that's actively attacking you. Plus it's mostly used in PVP not PVE, there aren't many times that I would use a healing potion for pve other than if the boss is super hard. The spell loadout is a great idea though, allowing for a more optimized and easier-to-use spell system. You could have an effective and fun pve build on one, then an effective build for PVP on the other. But at the same time, anything that's good for PVP is good for PVE so there is that fact too.

    I appreciated the effort of your constructive feedback and while i agree on almost everything, i'd rather have the devs ignore most of the non-obvious feedback and ideas from players. WIth that being said i really hope they will focus on bringing something new and innovative to help with the replayability and player retention. They need to risk and be bold. Leonardo Davinci didn't ask for feedback to paint the Mona Lisa. And i don't mean that they should be ignoring needed quality of life changes. They need to choose a direction, cause now V rising does many things on an above average level but it dosen't really shine.

      Like I mention in the video, the point of it isn't really to tell the devs what I think they should do. I make these videos cause it's interesting to think and talk about games. Espicially ones like this that I've spent so many hours in. And hopefully to be able to have interesting conversations with those that happen to find it. I am on the same page as you when it comes to listening to feedback. I'm interested in playing the game the devs wanted to make. Not the game they made to try and please as many people as possible. The centre of your decision making when creating something should be your own vision. Not the expectations of others. Also agree about the replayability. Personally I think limiting the access of spells and abilities you can aquire in one playthrough would make a second one feel more meaningful. What do you think could make the game more replayable?     Please release a roadmap for 2024/2025 because the game is really fun but doesn't have very much content. It needs something that can be farmed infinitely.

    Not the best suggestion to tell new players to head straight to a boss fight without the suggested gear for it. Sure it's a good tip for players who are already familiar with the mechanics through similar games to fast track the early stages, but that's a pretty big conditional.

The other tips were all pretty good, most of them about helpful things that aren't very well indicated in-game and not even I knew about the increased wheatstone chance on Deadeyes and the cancel ability button. Beginner guides usually stick to retelling base mechanics or impose a specific playstyle with use of imperatives, but I've been positively impressed by your video.

    They could of added Avernus as a playable map where you fight raphael as the final boss similar to fighing ketheric thorm in act 2, this would of improved the content in my opinion. Another thing they could of done is open up the upper city in act3! there was noise that data miners found missing content with the upper city that was cut from the game 🤔

      I agree. Avernus would have been really cool to see. If I'm not mistaken both the Upper City and Avernus was worked on but cut from the game.

    Traps and inventory, totally. I don't strongly agree with the friction as there was already plenty apart from Wyll and Karlach interaction in the beginning you narrated oh so perfectly lmao. I mean, you could lose Shadowheart or Laezel forever in one of their fights. And Astarion has plenty of "I do not agree with MC, relax darling" moments whenever you chose the not so selfish approach. Personally, what I disliked was : The limit of 4 people (it really bugged me the entire game not having a 6 members party) Not being able to chose which companion doing an ability check mid-narration or dialogue, it felt like the game was built backward at times, and that actually broke my immersion loads of times, since you're supposed to be in a party and have interactions, you know. Instead I felt like I had to chose the right character because suddenly an INT check popped out of nowhere. Plus it would make SO much sense since they can communicate through their tadpoles!! ACT II should've been the end of the game, everything builds up for the final battle and boss(es) of this act, and it is executed SO WELL that in comparison, ACT III lacks severely in almost every aspect (remember, my opinion only, not the absolute truth). But seriously, when you compare Ketheric's boss fight vs Orin /Baahl or Gortasch/Bane (where is his cult btw ?)... I would've loved second boss phases with their respective gods. (is it still considered *spoiler* territory ?) But perhaps the thing I disliked the most is a combination of the story's ending AND the companions stories endings. First, using the tadpoles power has no downsides on the endings you're choosing, good or evil, which is very weird to me because the game is about the consequences of your actions (executed perfectly in the first two acts). Second, the fact you can't convince the Emperor and Orpheus is again, very weird, you'd think having ultimately the same goal would let you do a persuasion check to get them on board. Instead, the Emperor basically throw a tantrum and metaphorically unalive himself joining the neitherbrain if you don't choose him. Aaaaand you're not rewarded for having avoided tadpoles powers your entire game if you don't side with him, because now you have to chose who you're giving a bad ending (metamorphosis), will it be Karlach ? yourself ? or f*cking Laezel and her people future by ending Orpheus (metamorphosis, death)? (Sorry I'm ranting now hahahahaha) As for the companions endings... you basically get none. That was perhaps the big disappointment for myself, not being able to save Karlach, reconstructing Baldur's Gate with Wyll, You don't get back at Shar with Shadowheart, Vlaakith still needs some beating with Laezel, Astarion needs curing of his condition, Gale hasn't honored what he ought to do. Sure you set the pieces/premises of what will happen, but no conclusion for no one. The closest to an end is Shadowheart's story, but it still feels unfinished, like let me track down the f*ckers, battle with Shar and (if romance) marry the damn girl. (Okay maybe that one is just a me thing). Finally, the cut content : Avernus and Upper City. In short, I guess I'm just trying to say I needed more. Which says a lot about the quality of this game. I haven't pointed out the very good points of the game since it wasn't about that in the video, but dude I love this game, my favorite, by far. I've never enjoyed myself so much. For me the best part are the companions, they're done so right it's unbelievable.

    Agreed, inventory management is a slog on the PC. It's a nightmare on console. And why the hell is the window for the camp chest so freaking small? I have like a 1000 things in there, and it'll take me forever to just scroll through it to see what I have. And why is the filtering so bare bones? Sometimes I want to see only medium armor or only swords or weapons in general, but the best they can do is equipment? Inventory management is the first thing that'll get modded when I do my PC playthrough. I thought this was a solved problem from literally every single other RPG released in the last 20 years but apparently not. That point about Wyll and Karlach is spot on. I don't mind it that much, but there could definitely be expanded on in a lot of ways. One complaint I personally have which is probably something most other people don't mind is there not being an auto level system like in Kotor. I'm newish to DnD, and I'm also a massive scrub when it comes down to figuring out how to build good characters (I know, massive skill issue) so I feel compelled to look up guides on how to build characters. When I tried just doing my own thing on Tactician, I very quickly learned that I was terrible at it and went back to following guides.

    I finished my “canon” 100% playthru as my main tabletop character in December and I put the game down a while to digest it, and I’m coming back in May to start my second playthru with a new Tav. Overall, there aren’t many nitpicks I have with the game. My biggest is that I wish we had a “house rules” section in the game options. Allow me to choose stuff not normally allowed in BG3/5E. One of the DEFINING traits of my tabletop character from the first ruling my first DM made for funsies is that he is the only sorcerer who has figured out how to twin *any* spell. Yes, it’s silly. Yes, it’s absurdly broken. But it was so FUN. And he would burn his resources even faster than a normal sorcerer, twice as bright half as long. He kinda felt unlike himself and I played it off as the tadpole sapping his magic. I wish there was more drama in camp and more downtime scenes. Maybe instead of just a menu, there’s an animation that plays that you can choose to skip if everyone sitting down around the fire for a meal that changes with either full rest, partial rest, or “going hungry.” Maybe some basic voice lines or some banter depending on how your party is going. Unless they’re specifically made to interact, it feels like there’s very little happening between your supposed friends and allies. I want Gale and Halsin to talk about the differences between natural magic and weave magic. I want Astarion and Shadowheart to argue over the best Baldurian wine. I want Wyll and Karlach to share stories. Just MORE.

      First of all that sounds like a fun twist on a sorcerer. Secondly I agree with the camp thing. Everyone is camp have a lot of interesting things to say to you and about you. Or about the others but they'll almost always only say it to you. Wish they interacted with each other more. Like they do when they run around in your party. That stuff is great!

    I have complaints about the inventory management but those complaints boil down to “no it’s not perfect”. However the one thing you did mention is easily solved by sending your food back to camp. The only time you ever need it is at camp and it’s accessible in the long rest menu from the chest.

      Yep. They have added the option to increase the text size for Books. But that does not include notes. Or on screen descriptions.

      @@Jules_Diplopia its the yellow text in the inventory menu that I really struggle with. Especially when you get legendary weapons with huge descriptions that just progressively get smaller and smaller

    I couldn't disagree more with the last point. First of all you most certainly can progress through the whole companion storyline without romancing. I never romanced Gale, most of the time I never even had him in my party, yet I was able to have multiple conversation about his suicide mission, factor in on his decission regarding goodhood etc. Same goes for Karlach, frankly speaking I feel much better about her post Gortash and endgame dialogues while not romancing as otherwise they feel very romcom. On the other, I don't really feel like party internal conflicts would not feel forced considering the whole toadpole situation. Frankly speaking the only one that I feel like should be there is Shadowheart & Lae'zel mainly because they involve around main plot and in my opinion it is quite nicely done. Other than that there're really no companions in direct or even any oposition to each other. Gale and Karlach resolves their conflict because they're able to literally look into each other heads and see the truth. Everyone else has their own thing going on. All in all, other than the traps everything else in bg3 slaps 😎

      So we agree on the traps. I'll take it! :D You're not wrong and I do mention in my video that I have gotten a lot out of the relationships my Tav has with both Shadowheart and Gale. I think one thing that adds to the feeling I have was pointed out by another commenter though. Everyone wants to romance you. I haven't had Gale, Laezel or Halsin in my party. I've talked a bit with Gale. Not much at all with the other two. All three of them have tried to get things going on. Mizora who I've done nothing to impress or befriend tried her luck. Even the Emperor gave it a go. I don't mind romance being a part of the game. I really like Karlach's romance. The combination between the demon slaying barbarian and insecure girl who's never really had that kind of a relationship before. But when almost everyone's reaction to the cool stuff I do is "Let's get it on" it becomes less interesting. And someone not interested in that becomes more interesting. Anyway thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Love that did it even though you didn't agree with most of my takes!

    My main issues are 1. The camera. I'm on console it just..... sucks. I'm sitting here with a telescope trying to see my characters or the thing I'm picking up. 2. Playersexuality. I know ppl hate this phrase, but when there are no gay companions I find it very hard to believe that this was about visibility. It was either a resource problem or fear of angry entitled gamers who won't take no from a companion. 3. Friendship paths. I think despite my point 2 the romances are well written for the most part, but you can't have a camp scene with a companion unless it's romance related. That's very unfortunate.

      2) Astarion is literally canonically pan or at least gay. In the final push for his companion quest, you can meet his past lover/a guy he brought to Cazador, Sebastian. You can then talk to Astarion about it and he'll admit, that, if I recall correctly, a lot of the times he didn't feel anything, but every once in a while, there was a sweet boy like Sebastian. I don't think other companions really talk about their past experiences, other than Gale about Mystra, but I haven't romanced everyone so idk. Tbh though, I think I prefer it over the approach that for example Cyberpunk 2077 took. You get one gay man, one straight man, one gay woman, one straight woman. You have to mod the game to allow romance as a different gender, which to me feels even worse than just having everyone be into everyone, because now we're "fixing" (pixel) people's sexuality. And yeah, I did that with Panam, because I'm not choosing to spend several dozens of hours as a dude just so I can romance the cute nomad woman. I agree about the camera and I'm on PC. Also agree that the game needs more cutscenes without romance. I finished Astarion's quest (the "good" ending) for the first time when romancing him and he has such a nice scene. I was underwhelmed when I did it again in another playthrough, without romancing him.

      I'm with you on the camera and friendship paths, but... regarding point number two, I think calling the characters 'playersexual' does the game a bit of a disservice, since they're all clearly intended to be/portrayed as bisexual (or pansexual). Astarion is the most overtly queer companion, but Minthara talks about a female ex of hers in Menzoberranzan at one point (she ended up having to kill her RIP); if you play as Karlach you get the opportunity to fantasize about a threesome with a guy and a female halfling; Wyll talks about how he used to enjoy dancing with 'the ladies and gentlemen of the Gate' (and frequently waxes poetic about Astarion's hair, if you're playing as him); Halsin mentions having lovers of different genders in the past; Shadowheart and Lae'zel both thirst over Karlach a fair amount... Maybe it's a bit statistically improbable all the companions are bisexual, but the alternative is to limit romance options to certain genders (the Bioware route), which inevitably will just result in people either modding the game to 'fix' characters' sexualities, or peopl creating a Tav they're not happy with just so they can romance the person they want. And the game doesn't lack proper LGBT rep IMO: in addition to the bisexual main companions, a lot of the supporting cast in BG3 is gay (Isobel, Aylin, Alfira, Lakrissa, Lunkbug, Beldron, Laridda, Philomeen, probably Ansur and Balduran, many of the minor NPCs like the Gondians), with canonically trans and nonbinary characters as well (Nocturne, Yrre).

      @@Stibbian With so many LGB characters in BG3 I do find it sad that there is still no Trans representation. Just one well hidden mention, and even that has to be inferred. But at the same time I also find the portrayal of Githyanki to be an issue. Unlike other races they lay eggs. Look around our world and tell me how many egg laying creatures still have mammary glands (breasts)? Very much shows that whilst Larian are a forward looking company, that the world still has a long way to go.

    I agree partially with you, what you said about companions. Yes, I also would like to have a little more depth in the interactions and also more frictions. But: When I look at the comments I occasionally read or videos I saw from other players, it seems that they would not appreciate more depths at all. Some even just kill off some companions, because they don't like an answer they got, or are already overwhelmed to manage that diverse group, because they themselves lack the abilities of a real leader .... That said, I fear that a game with more frictions between the companions would gain a lot less audience or would be a flop. I totally agree when it comes to relationships. I also had the feeling, that it is basically too much one-way. Either take that love-interest or another -- and I have to take it at the pre-programmed time. That seems rather digital to me and frustrating. Of course you can start a relationship with several companions at the same time, but that is not what I want. I even saw in a video, that it is possible to change -- but there seems to be only one option for that and I did not yet find out how that can be reached. A less artificial way to find your love interest would be real nice, but might be also rather difficult to implement, since writer- and voice-actor resources are limited of course.       I see your point about the friction. But would those people ever notice? If they already kill off or ignore companions who aren't their favorites they wouldn't see that friction that would bother them but would make me and you happy. And I've seen posts about people who play that way too but I've never gotten the sense that they don't enjoy the game. They just get rid of the people in them that they don't enjoy and then go on with the game and seem to have a great time :) So I'm not sure it would risk the game becoming a flop. But with the companion interactions being such a core part of the game I can see how you'd want to make a game where you interact with many of them, Thank you for your interesting comment! <3

    I disagree with your first point. You always can send your provisions to the camp without any disadvantage. Yes, it is inventory management, but I learned at playing, that with some thoughts and organization it becomes very much easier to do it. My Tav most of the time has only 8 strength and still I get things managed rather smoothly.

      I agree with the point on inventory management. It can be a pain. But for the record, due to a bug and a few crashes, I had to reload a few times, but each time I reloaded the DLC gave me a new Travellers Chest in camp. So now in that run I have 4 chests. Gosh that makes inventory management SO much easier. One for food. One for Books, One for Weapons and One for misc.

      @@Jules_Diplopia As mentioned in another thread: You can also use any pouch, sack or other container in the game to store as much stuff as you want, because there are no limits for container entries. Only limit is what you can carry, if you have the container in your personal inventory. But you always can put any container into the Travellers Chest and organize that chest too.

      Nah inventory management is torture lol. I sat down and sorted my inventory for 3 hours one time and now play with a very strict system to make sure it doesn't happen again lol

    I am slightly irked by the false sense of urgency and divergent choices that the game presents the player with in its narrative. When it turns out you can take as much time as you need to complete just about all the side tasks you wish. For instance the characters make a bit of a fuss about going either through the underdark or the mountain pass to get to Moonrise, but you're free to go and do both without any issue, or needing to split the party. And for the most part, you can take as many long rests as you do silly sidequets as you wish without any ill events in the world progressing.

    As someone who's already played this game back to back 5 times, my biggest issue is how fast companions are wishing to romance your character. Even being slightly rude to them (to Lae'zel or to Gale, for example), or just not even talking to them nor taking them in your party, they still come on to you! It takes the satisfaction away from the actual romance you pursue. I think Shadowheart is the only one that is a tough nut to crack, but the rest are way too easy and I dislike that.

      Yeah I'm with you. I think it was really cool of Larian to say that you won't be able to see everything in this game in one playthrough. And unless you spend waaay too much time playing BG3 you'll never see everything. Guess they didn't feel that way about the romances though :D Everyone wants you!

      Really? I was hoping to romance someone, but my first run, not a single character came on to me. Maybe it is just my magnetic personality. But I think it is just that I picked the answers that I would irl. Subesquent runs I am searching out the romance, but you do have to actively look for it.

      ​@@Jules_DiplopiaDid you do the Grove-tieflings/goblin quest to the very end and get a camp evening party? If so, did you talk to your companions? I THINK for most companions, the trigger is high enough approval but it doesn't need to be crazy high. Also, some are less obvious than others. Like if you ask Astarion "what his idea of fun is", he'll be like "sex, of course!" and you pick it from there. Lae'zel, you'll basically get a dialogue option of "you've been looking at me differently" where she'll tell you she wants you because spilling blood = hot, or whatever. Gale is less obvious, and I'm not sure his is (always) during the party: he'll offer to show you how to manipulate the Weave and you can choose to stay a little bit longer, then think about a kiss because he can see your thoughts at the moment. Etc. The easiest way to win/lose approval is to have companions in your active party. Then, some companions will approve of certain types of action and disapprove of others, aligning with their personality. For example, Gale will often approve when there's compassion at play, and generally Gale, Wyll and Karlach will like morally good actions. So having them with you while you do good things is a pretty solid way to boost their approval.

      @@Jules_Diplopia I see. In my first run, I was thinking either Karlach or Wyll. Karlach never triggered for me and Wyll, well, I did not expect the sweet cutscene that's deciding for him to end with "NOW KISS" so I declined. My biggest problem the first run was that pretty much everybody who triggered for me was either too horny too early, or Wyll, which I described above (lol). That save ended up being useful for getting some achievements and also getting intel on what to expect in later acts and how to get the results I want, so no regrets (I'm bad at not meta gaming).

    Overall my biggest complaint about BG3 is that it feels somewhat "outdated" and "Modern" at the same time. The gameplay is spot on, but the party members just standing in camp doing nothing waiting to tell you how much they want to have sex - feels like it didn't evolve beyond Dragon Age Origins. One game that I think every RPG creator with a party dynamic should play is Fire Emblem Three houses - other Fire Emblems too, but Three Houses does this best. In Fire Emblem you have this concept called "supports" - as you play the game you can build up "support" with a character, which after a while unlocks cutscenes with them. But, here's the twist: The NPCs can ALSO build support with each other, letting you see how their dynamics are building too. That's something I feel BG3 lacked. The party just stands around almost never interacting with each other - only you.

    for the inventory management, just pick up pouches and put items into those pouches, you find them while playing the game. I usually separate them into scrolls, potion, throwables and other stuff, for food and stuff I just send them to camp after I got too much. I do remember a tip not sure if it works, if you just throw the camp supply pack into a chest or inventory all the food automatically goes into it, I think it works with keys and alchemy materials too. At 1:32 when you show your traveller chest I'm questioning as to why you ain't selling like most of the stuff there I've played until the of act 2 but as much as I'm aware you can just sell the 200 books that you have in there, the rotten food, the forge moulds, cuz you probably ain't gonna use them no more, put the food into the camp supply pack, and quest item into a pouch, I would most likely sell most of the non-magical gear or just equip it onto a character. the non magical rings and boots should be sold as well. I just think you either don't sell enough or you hoard it, as the game goes on, if you don't use potions, arrows etc they will get heavy, but I just put em in a pouch and just let one of my characters hold it. I would like you're opinion on this and whether i'm wrong on something

      I have one pouch for potions and elixirs on Tav. Karlach has on for weapons. Shadowheart for Armor and Astarion has one for jewelry. And yes there's a lot of stuff in my traveler's chest that I don't need to keep. Personally I'm not a fan of inventory management. And when I sit down to play the game I can't find it in me to spend the first 20 minutes of that session going through my stuff, sorting and selling. So I think you're right. And you're not the first person to give me this advice. I'm just bad at doing it. And I wish all the items in my inventory weren't clumped together in one long list of everything. I feel like the pouch or backpack solution is a thing we need to do cause the game doesn't organize things better. But it's a good solution. Thanks for the comment!

      The camp supply etc. thing SORTA works. If you have a camp supply bag in your camp chest and send food in, it will still land in the main chest. HOWEVER if you put a new camp supply bag inside, it will pick up all the loose items. You can then open that bag, mark all and move everything manually to the bag that was already in there. Alternatively, you can select everything in the chest and drag it onto the camp supply bag icon. It will only put things in that can go in, so food, alcohol etc., and none of other stuff. I do think it's a QoL issue though and should be fixed eventually. I'd also like tabs for the kind of items, in the chest and in the character EQ (similar to trade window) and for trade to have a separate tab for alchemical ingredients. I recently just started to sell the vendors I use for gaining money an empty backpack each and stuffing all the garbage I sold them inside. Overall, I regularly send things to camp and I spend probably every 15 or so hours even looking into my camp chest. I'll pick up pretty much everything (but barrels, containers and food, as well as books and gear with effects), add to wares and do rounds with vendors. If I need anything in-between, I just "sort by type" and scroll through the chest. It's much easier since they redid the chest UI to be much bigger and wider, it used to be the same UI as that of backpacks etc. I don't think the inventory management is game breakingly bad, but it definitely could be improved.

    Hit the unchain button when you see a trap and they won't walk into it. Traps were underpowered in DOS2 so it was good to have them back as a threat in BG3.

      Agreed, but you don't always know or have your finger on the pause button. I think John is right, a player seeing a trap should be instant (almost) stop for the rest. IRL if a group of you were exploring and your leader shouted "watch out.. Mines!" the rest of you would freeze.

    Most of these can be foxed with mods, but there's a huge problem that can't be so fixed. Dialogue trees needlessly advance so you have to save scum to see all the optional content on a given playthrough. Once you notice this you can't unsee it, especially because this isn't a problem in almost any other game with dialogue trees, like Witcher 3, the Mass Effect series, even Fallout 4.

      I've played this game multiple times both pre release and post release and I've never seen so many bugs till I played multiplayer. Rivals a Bethesda game with the amount of bugs multiplayer had. Multiplayer shouldn't also lock you out from doing npc companion quests when you're playing as a max group.

    My main complaint is that Act 3 doesn't hold up to 1 and 2. So many fairly pointless side quests because you're max level and already have all the gold and equipment you need. I've played through the first 2 acts at least a dozen times, but never finished the game. The fun of starting a new run always beats slogging through to the end. But even this complaint is actually a compliment for how fun and replayable BG3 is.

      Now that you mention it, the leveling thing could have been a point on this list. I don't mind 12 being max level but in my opinion you could level slower in order to have more progression left in Act 3. Great point! Also, before I got to Act 2 I only heard praise for Acts 1 & 3. So I came in to Act 2 expecting it to be a little bit of a lull. I think Act 2 is fantastic. Might be my favorite part of the game. Thanks for the comment!

      Larian did say that they built Act 3 intentionally so that you would go through about half the Act at max level to give you time to appreciate and flex your max level powers

      @@michaelmagee2062 Yeah and that's not a bad design choice to make. Personally I wouldn't mind coming into Act 3 a little lower in levels though. I think I was lvl 10 when I got there. I think the biggest "culprit" here is Act 1 being so big and full of things to do. You level up a lot early on in the game.

      The only reason I don’t like act 3 as much is the lag I get from being g in the city. Sure I would like more levels but I think it’s fine that being max level for the better part of act 3 means you get to experience what it means to be at the peak for a good amount of time. There might be some pointless side quests but I didn’t think so for most of act 3. There’s a lot of content in fighting the bosses in each of the companion quests so just doing those instead of every little thing in act 3 like I tried to do in my first run still feels pretty complete.

      If you play on PC, I read there's a mod that lifts the level cap (sets it to 20, I think). I never installed it myself but now that I remembered it exists, I'm definitely adding it to my list for when I finally play with mods. I believe it adds spells and class features etc. from higher levels, as well. I finished the game three times, I think. One was forced, to finish my very first playthrough which I abandoned in very early act 3, and grab some achievements along the way. Started a few more playthroughs than that, though. I 100% agree about act 3 not being at the same (high) level as previous acts. I heard they had to cut parts of it because of time constraints and if that's the case, I hope it'll eventually get restored. But, considering the fact that the tension around Moonrise and Ketheric was being built for literally 1.5 acts, the marginal role the TWO remaining Chosen play in the BIGGEST act is criminal. Also, at this point, the game reintroduces a sense of urgency, which we didn't have basically since figuring out that we aren't transforming any time soon, thanks to the protection of the Prism. The Absolute march, the kidnapping, the fact that due to the Netherise stones being split, the Brain could supposedly break free any moment. It feels weird to spend so much time just running around the act with the impending doom.

    You don't need to see what armor they are wearing for pvp. Their gear level is the number next to their name...

      Yes I know. But the new armors won't be on different gear levels. Each tier of gear past a certain point will have multiple armors that give different bonuses. Some will be better for spellcasters while some will be better for melee fighters. I would like to see which of these armors an opponent is wearing and gear level won't indicate that.

I guess I don't mind the risk of not knowing what im up against at the get go. Maybe they can add a way to identify it via the blood sense ability at some point.

      I'm very positive about everything else they've announced. And most people seem to really like this feature so I think SLS are fine. I am making a point but you're missing it. These new armors will offer different stats on the same gear level. So if these different armors make a big difference to people's playstyle I would like to see what armor their wearing. Just like I'd want to see if my opponent has equipped a Spear or the Axe. Not just an indicator of how strong their weapon is. But like I said most people seem to like this feature and I'm fine about not loving every aspect of a game. It can still be great. And so far I've liked 99.9999999% of this one.     im bummed out by pve players and their view of this game. as if its a "consumable" thats meant to be played through and then never touched again. at its heart the intended focus is pvp. and its pvp replayability is infinite. its the same replayability like rust. you can play it again every week/month or indefinitely to defend your castle for however long you want

      We just raided someone max level today and we were gear score 60 just had to get the siege golem but focus on base defense first as a pvp with 300 hours in the game

      The PVP is the main draw from a gameplay perspective but there are almost no incentives to doing it. In fact there is only downsides to PVP'ing. You risk losing items and risk breaking others. Repair bills only matter to people griding to endgame and once you've reached that level acquiring materials is too easy. You gain NOTHING from killing opponents in the endgame other than more materials to horde. The gameplay loop is fun but poor thought out in the later levels. Once a server has been conquered it is next to impossible for warring guilds to take it over without obscene amounts of time to acquire and guard locations/loot. Nobody likes attacking keeps while their opponents are online which leads to offline raiding which is both boring as fuck and destructive to anyone with a job. I enjoy pvp but it's just poorly handled and kills servers really quickly and I'm not one to just rush to a fresh server and race to endgame over and over. Fuck that shit.

    I disagree with you on the appearance change of making armors look like other armors, in pvp you can see the other players level by number or skull which gives you plenty of information. I also enjoy being able to wear (appearance wise) an old armor set that I think looks better than the next tier without being forced to take the appearance of the better set because I HAVE to wear it to be stronger.

I'm worried that if these new Armor types make a significant difference you can be caught off guard since gear level won't tell you if the opponent is wearing a Scholar or a Warrior armor. But you and many others are looking forward to this for the upsides you bring up in your comment. And in the end I'm sure they'll outweigh the downside I'm worried about.     They deffinetly comfirmed a Transmog typ of system aye. I personally is all for it, sure it might become less optimal for PVP, but not a BIG problem either. The benefits it bring for people far outweight this problem. Plus you will most likely be able to turn off Transmog on personal servers for those that really take the PvP aspect serrious.
