one thing that helped me a lot in dealing with the feelings of failure is to appreciate how my frustrations could be a good thing, because solely focusing on the positives sometimes felt a bit like fleeing (to me), so I decided I had to do more and also deal with those feelings on inadequacy/failure. I think at the end of the day it's about finding the right balance, between being able to let go but also appreciating that being a perfectionist and wanting more CAN sometimes be a good thing because it keeps you moving forward, and in a way gives you purpose in a somewhat chaotic universe

I feel like we all go through this phase between our twenties and thirties where we don't want to go out as much, we learn to stop seeking validation from our peers (and so we can truly appreciate others' worth without feeling inadequate) and we understand the value of our real friends.
