We traveled from Wisconsin to Idaho to explore the Sawtooth Mountain Range. On our way we stopped in Twin Falls to see The Perrine Bridge and Shoshone Falls, we continued through Ketchum, BLM camping in Sun Valley, along the way. The scenery is simply amazing and we enjoyed every step along the way.

We were just in Stanley Idaho. Lots of bears so be careful. Make sure you are armed on those hikes. Gorgeous area.

For someone new to hiking, who insists on trying to hike to goldbug... do you have any suggestions or warnings to help make this a little more manageable?
It is a steep hike. Do you have any knee problems? Use hiking poles and take your time. Do you use the all trails ap? The actual trail is pretty clearly marked, but the location is not marked on the highway to take the turn. Bring water and snacks, and wear your suit if you are not comfortable changing in the open. Getting towards the top of the mountain has loose rocks and it has a steep drop off, so again go slow and if you are afraid of heights, don't panic you will get to the top and it will be worth the effort. Parking is limited, arrive early, and enjoy the beauty. My favorite place is goldbug. The hotsprings are so incredible...

Thank for sharing. I was there in July and made a video as well if you’re interested. The road to the trailhead is rough and took a lot longer than I thought to get there from Pinedale. I rented a truck for that road and it was worth it.
We go in September to avoid the bugs, but the green grass and flowers are so beautiful in your video. It makes me want to go earlier. The road is rough. We are so glad we have a truck. Thanks for watching our video, keep on living your dream.
I was there in September as well. The road into Green River Lakes is not too fun. I past that same campsite between the lakes. It is nice. 👍. Yeah, there was salmon in that river between the lakes when I was there as well. I was shocked. Thanks for sharing.
The high line trail is so nice, we want to go back to go to slide lake. We live in Wisconsin but we try to do a couple different hikes every year in Wyoming and idaho, we love the mountains. What is your favorite hike?
