Reaching Roots
Приєднався 7 лют 2019
At Reaching Roots, we really like roots but more than that we care about people. We care about people and their needs. Everyone needs food and not everyone has enough. Students, farmers, business owners, and teachers alike get overwhelmed by the challenges with our local and global food system- and sometimes we get lost in science jargon. Our mission is to provide you with learning resources to make plant science engaging and exciting. We want to make inspirational plant science education available to as many people as possible

Helped a ton! Thank you.
So glad it helped!
I got admission in Agronomy but now i have a chance to go in horticulture soo therefor i am very confuse 😢
I am sorry you are confused! I hope you gain clarity as you continue to take classes and talk to individuals in the industry. I have found that talking to mentors really helps!
Its very helpful and knowlegable😇😇😇
So glad you found it helpful!
thank you so much teacher.
You are very welcome
Good
My only argument is that 5% organic matter is the ideal organic matter content. That would be after 4-7 years of decayed organic matter in high quantities and composting excessively to get 5% organic matter. When you use container garden methods the organic matter is confined and paired with a set amount of soil volume which in turn would create a higher percent of organic matter to soil ratio. But on average, land soil that is farmed is only at 1.5% organic matter due to non regenerative farming practices. Otherwise.... I really enjoyed your video.
Thank you!
Great Vid Thank You
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very helpful 👍🏽
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video, it has taught me some interesting things. Although it's pretty ironic that, in the beginning, you stress the importance of the scientific name over the common name for clarity's sake, and then continue for the rest of the video to use the common names for the families. English isn't my first language so I needed to translate all the name to look up the scientific names😅
Good point!
Thanks
Wonderful artificial propagation
I don't understand, why not add more clay to sandy soil and vice versa, instead of organic matter?
It is quite hard to add clay and sand, since they are heavy and it would take a lot of volume. Organic matter is lighter and holds a substantial amount of water per percentage in the soil.
wow
Very clear speaking thank you 🥰
Very informative! Thank you
Minerals 45% Air 25% Water 25% Inorganic materials 5%
Yes
You put 5% inorganic materials but I think u meant organic bc inorganic materials are minerals
Wow
Cool to find this kind of stuff. Just the type of learning material I want. Big picture knowledge about a field I want to learn for general knowledge and becoming a better gardener.
Great video madm Can you drop your email? I'll like to join your virtual classes 🙏
