    Isn’t the whole point so you can’t see the stitch? It will look off, especially if you had to fold a lot of length. Or what if the pants aren’t straight, like if they narrow towards the bottom?

      I think if you’re going to use the sewing machine, might as well cut the extra length and re-hem the edge

      No, not at all for me. The whole point is to shorten my pants to the length that I like. I like that the stitch shows. Looks good to me.

      @@Versatire Not for me. I like keeping the original, saving a step of cutting, and less chance of fraying in the future. And if for some reason I decide the length is not right, I can redo it longer. And I like the bulk it provides to the hem, sturdier, and solid around my ankle or shoe, instead of lighter and flopping around. Especially when riding the motorbike or bicycle, but just walking too.

      Does the abs still work, in other words, if you are in gravel or snow, and slam the brakes, do the wheels pump the brakes automatically?

    • @sarfrazhussain6169
      @sarfrazhussain6169 4 дні тому

      @ actually, I changed the front left axle and now the Abs sign turned on. Will what you did in the video work or do I need to change the abs sensor?

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood 4 дні тому

      @@sarfrazhussain6169 I ended up having my mechanic look at it, and he couldn't clear the abs light either. Then we tried replacing the control module with one off ebay and that didn't work, so I fixed it by covering the light with a circle of black gorilla tape and I haven't had the problem since! ABS works fine in snow and gravel.

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood 4 дні тому

      @@sarfrazhussain6169 Sounds like you may have damaged the ABS sensor on that side you worked on, so why not try replacing it? My mechanic never tried replacing sensors. I guess because if the ABS works, meaning, in gravel, with hard braking, the car automatically pumps the brakes, then why invest the money? In my case, could end up replacing 4 sensors and still no fix, because we don't know which one it is. In your case, it sounds like you may know which one. But it could be the wiring that got damaged, not the sensor. And if that's true, then you could replace the sensor and it still wouldn't be fixed. That's basically what my mechanic said, that I could spend hundreds figuring it out, or I could remove the instrument cluster (10 minutes following youtube video), and cover the light with some black tape). That's what I did, and my ABS still works fine till this day.

    What is a VTC ?

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood 19 днів тому

      I don't know but it is one of the four most common oil leaks in the CRV.

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood 19 днів тому

      The VTC filter gasket is a filter assembly for the VTC system. Replacing this part can fix the P2646 code, which is often caused by a lack of oil in the VTC solenoid. A clogged filter can also lead to a loss of oil pressure and prevent the engine from entering VTEC. If you are experiencing the P2646 code or performing a refresh on your engine, we recommend changing the VTC filter and gasket.

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood 19 днів тому

      VTEC is a type of variable valve-timing system developed and used by Honda. It stands for Variable Valve Timing & Lift Electronic Control. Like most other variable-valve timing systems, VTEC varies oil pressure to shift between different cam profiles. At higher engine speeds, the cam profile allows greater valve lift, which allows more air into the cylinder. This helps generate more horsepower. Since its introduction in the late 1980s, VTEC has been used in many of Honda's best performance cars including the NSX, Integra Type R, S2000, and Civic Type R.

      Thanks. It is one of 4 of the most common oil leaks in the CRV. I don't think mine was leaking, there was old oil but I don't think there was fresh oil. The old oil may have been from the valve cover gasket leaking, which was replaced this year. I've gotten 2 other common leak points replaced already. I have one more (front crank seal). The crank bolt is not budging. I'm spraying PBR penetrating oil on it and hitting it with the impact gun and then spraying again and waiting. It may take into tomorrow. I also tried a torch. Here is the whole thread of my oil consumption story on the CRV forum where those guys are helping me: www.crvownersclub.com/threads/06-240k-miles-oil-usage.244142/#replies

      These jobs at the mechanic would probably be a thousand dollars or more, because it takes a couple few hours and they don't like that. My last mechanic didn't even do some jobs in here that I asked to be done. Oh, I was doing multiple things other than this and it took me all afternoon, from 1-5 or so, I was taking my time, and taking videos, on the DIY forum, back and forth. Plus I did a lot of research and watched videos of how to do it, which took hours, but I enjoy researching, solving problems, and working on cars, and the satisfaction of doing it right. The mechanics don't even clean up the old oil so you can't even tell if you have a new leak....and other stuff they don't do. If you want something done do it yourself.

    Also, when it is cold outside, my joints ache. This makes me wear more cloths/jackets than other people. Part of it is the joints, part of it is no fat on the body, part of it is having had a lower fat diet. I notice already that the higher fat diet helps keep me warmer. I expect that all of the joint issues will go away on carnivore and I will be happier to go out in the cold, which is nice. I love the cold weather and the crispness of it. I've already noticed over the past few years that this has improved greatly by eating more animal foods and animal fat. Excited about going all in.

      I am focusing on strict carnivore, probably headed to lion diet for the elimination aspect and then adding other animal products back to see how I do with them. I'm done with plants, carbs, sweets, and milk/dairy. I eat meat seared quickly so it is warmer, but it is raw in the middle. I eat raw egg yolks and raw unsalted butter off a spoon, both those things usually with most meals.

  • @billjim334

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood Місяць тому

      I don't think I did either one long enough to say, and back when I did raw primal for a couple of weeks or whatever it was, I was not as healthy as now, so hard to tell. But I can say that for me, what I'm doing now feels more sustainable. I like warm meat seared and raw in the middle, and it's easier because I don't have to get it out 5 hours ahead of time. So I like the raw aspect of raw egg yolks and raw unsalted butter, but with the meat, seared is good for me. I'm always open to changes and something new.

    • @bradleydavidgood
      @bradleydavidgood Місяць тому

      Also I was doing lots of raw milk then and feel much better without it, mostly because of the sugar/carb aspect but probably also because of the dairy. I think I'm going to end up eliminating all dairy for at least a while and probably end up eating very little later. I think I'm going to feel best on meat and egg yolks and probably raw unsalted butter, but I'll probably cut that out for a while to see. Oh, also years ago when I did raw primal strict I had constipation and gall bladder issues so bad it didn't work well, and now I'm on a high quality vitamin c with bioflavonoids and that seems to help, not constipated at all, and the gallbladder and liver seem to be healing slowly. I heard that happens with carnivore. I think the plants clog up the liver and gallbladder.
