Signature : Chujusai Toshikazu Saku Kore
This siganture is Genuine.
Habaki: gold wrapped single habaki.
Blade length : 72.2 cm or 28.42 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.33 cm or 1.31 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.55 cm or 1.00 inches.
Kasane : 0.73cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick blade with Okissaki.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The Jigane is beautiful, looks like Nashi-Ji.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha Hamon. The Ha is tight.
There are Ko-Ashi.
Special feature: Chujusai Toshikazu is a son of the Ishido Korekazu.
and also studied under the Cyounsai Tsunatoshi.
He like to make the sword with long and wide wit long kissaki sword.

Condition and appealing point: Hamon is clear and beautiful. Jihada is beautiful. This sword is a typical Muromachi Period made sword with Koto's feature, fine thin but beautiful in balance as a whole.     i don't have one made in japan, but i feel the same way yes i own several blades inlcluding a katana but not japan made. but i still love it i feel infuse with it.

    The last blade I purchased was from AoiArt, a Tokubetsu Hozen Tanto from 1871. Excellent seller and would highly recommend them.

    保存刀鑑定書では越前の(冬広)ですが、寒山先生の鞘書では『備前吉岡の長則』に成ってますが、刃文も地鉄も備前吉岡に見えますね  冬広独特の越前の黒い肌には画像では見え無かったです  刀掛けも付いて居て良い買い物をしましたね

      Its a Wakizashi, its shorter then a Katana and used by one Hand. The Wakizashi was designed for fighting inside of Buildings. A Twohander like a Katana or Tachi are Battlefieldweapons.
