Welcom to the Grand Canyon Posse!
This channel's all 'bout visiting Grand Canyon, offerin' tips for once you're in the Canyon with must-see stops, watering holes, and places to rest along the way.
Me and my trusty steed, Jackpot, were explorin' the Canyon back in the 1800s, fell into a time-warp, and somehow ended up in the 21st century!
To top it off, Jackpot's spirit somehow got trapped in a contraption they call a "Jeep."
Weird, but true...
One day it was suggested, "You should start a UA-cam Channel!"
So, here we are!
We got videos that essentially act as trail maps from Las Vegas, Phoenix, Flagstaff, and more!🏜️
😍 Plus, if you mosey on over to GrandCanyonPosse.com you can rope yourself some deals on tours, beds, adventures, and the best grub around these parts. 🤠
So, subscribe▶ ring the bell🛎and keep in the know...
See ya on down the trail!

You missed Fred's Place at Bright Angel 😊
I just came to the Grand Canyon to live and work. Maybe we can collaborate on a Fred Harvey project.
How many hours is this day trip, roughly? I haven’t watched the entire video yet but I want to follow this plan. Headed there next week.
Well now, partner, reckon you’ll want to set aside the whole day for this here adventure. At the bare minimum, you’re lookin’ at 'bout 7 hours from start to finish. That’s 'cause you’ll be ridin’ in the saddle for a good two-and-a-half hours just gettin' to and from the canyon. That leaves ya with a solid 4 hours to mosey around the rim, takin’ in every grand view this ol’ video of mine showcased. But let me tell ya, if your stomach starts growlin’ like a grizzly in spring, you might want to consider stoppin’ for a meal at one of them fine canyon restaurants. Word to the wise: think about bookin' a reservation ahead of time, 'cause them places can fill up quicker than a waterin’ hole in the desert. And if you’re plannin' on stickin’ around for sunset, well partner, you might as well settle in for a longer haul-'cause watchin' that sun dip below the canyon rim is somethin’ you don’t want to miss! It’ll add some extra time to your day, but trust me, it’s worth every minute.
@@grandcanyonposse Thanks for the great response!
Great video!!!
Just came back from the North and South Rims in early October 2024. Beautiful fall colors in the North you don't get in the South. Didn't expect the parking at the north kaibab trail to be so difficult at 8am in early October.
South does have a/c according to the Xanterra website
Nice mix of so many of my favorite songs. Really enjoyed this video. Keep em coming! Thanks!
30k a year to live in a trailer. Great American dream
Slayyyyy!
I gotta go back, the Grand canyon is awesome to visit. Great short!
If I am an American, I'm not calling ANYBODY "Sir" unless I feel like it. Thanks for your video.

“DONT” expect to get good service at the north rim, Aramark is the fucking worst company in all the National Parks. Aramark bids contracts and then runs property’s into the ground.
The Hopi House is a classic! Thanks for delving a little bit into the architectural history of the Village.
I'm mighty pleased you appreciated the tale of the Hopi House! It's a veritable gem, and Mary Colter’s architectural prowess truly ensnares the essence of the region's heritage. Should your curiosity beckon for more stories of yesteryear’s craftsmanship or the hidden whispers of the Grand Canyon, do not hesitate to give a shout! There's a rich tapestry of history yet to unfurl. Thank you kindly for joining us, and I reckon we'll have more grand tales to share soon!

Not sure how much time this guy actually spent at the north rim but...just go. Altitude acclimation can take up to a month. Drink tons of water. It will help. There's no winter access. You can fly in to Page Az and rent a car from Avis. Lots of blm and national forest for camping.
"Well, howdy there! Now, I ain't sayin' the North Rim ain't got its charms, but reckon it's good to know what yer saddlin' up for. True, altitude acclimation can feel longer than a month of with the in-laws, and drinkin' water like a thirsty cattle driver sure helps. As fer winter access, yup, it's as closed as a saloon on Sunday. Flyin' into Page, AZ and rentin' a car's a mighty fine idea, and those BLM and national forest campin' spots are like findin' gold nuggets in the stream. So, folks, weigh yer options and pick yer trail wisely. Happy trails to ya!"
excellent channel. subbed.
It was here that a Raven stole the lens cap of my camera.
Toroweep forever!
I couldn't agree more! Toroweap Overlook is somethin' special, alright. It's like the wild west of sunrise spots - rugged, untamed, and absolutely breathtaking. Ain't nothin' quite like watchin' the sun rise up above the horizon from that perch, with the canyon spread out before you in all its glory. Thanks for hollerin' that out, partner! Here's to more wild sunrises and unforgettable adventures!
Another great video from this channel, thanks

My spouse and I had visited the South Rim several times until we happened to visit the North Rim in June 2024. From now on, we will only be visiting the North Rim. Far superior to the South Rim.
Well done video, man!
Isn't access to Yaki Point restricted from regular vehicles? How do you get there if not using a shuttle? Did you drive your Jeep there? "Yaki Point is the only viewpoint on Desert View Drive that is closed to private vehicles. It can be only be reached by taking the free eastbound Kaibab Rim (Orange) Route shuttle, departing from the Visitor Center Shuttle Bus Terminal."
Well, partner, my apologies for not bein' clearer than a mountain spring. I didn't saddle up Jackpot and ride all the way to Yaki Point. Nope, I hopped on the shuttle bus at the visitor’s center and rode that in. Now, if you’re lookin’ to avoid the shuttle, you can drive up to Yaki Point Road and hoof it from there. It’s about a half-mile walk, give or take. Though, there ain't no parking lot. You'd be parking on the curb, halfway into the ditch.
Yes! Please don't go so I can keep going and not deal with traffic jams and crowds like on the other side.
Visited N. Rim just after it opened in May 2017. The place was fantastic. We stayed at the lodge, and I literally reserved a room the moment they were available a year in advance. The accommodation was cramped and very rustic. That was the only negative. Visiting here takes some careful planning, but I highly recommend it.
Howdy, partner! Ain’t that the truth! The North Rim is a hidden gem that takes a bit of savvy planning to unearth. Snaggin’ a room at the lodge a year in advance shows some serious dedication, and it sure pays off with those incredible views. As for the rustic accommodations, well, reckon it’s all part of the charm, ain’t it? Thanks for sharing your experience and reminding folks that the North Rim, while a bit of a trek, is worth every boot-scuffed mile if it's your cup of cactus tea. Happy trails to ya! 🌄🌲
Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. 👍6
I’m here in Georgia. Something mysterious has been pulling me in to visit the north rim. That Zoroaster temple at sunset is an eye catcher.
Planning my trip that way and these videos are a great way to ensure I don’t miss out on anything. Great production too.
Glad to hear you're planning your trip with our sunset spots in mind! Ain't nothin' quite like catchin' a Grand Canyon sunset, and I'm mighty pleased our videos are helpin' you make the most of your adventure. Appreciate the kind words about the production too-just tryin' to do justice to the beauty of this here canyon. If you need any more tips or reckonings before hittin' the trail, just holler. Safe travels and may your sunsets be as spectacular as the Grand Canyon itself!
Great video. Well done!
Amazing video. Thank you for sharing. 👍1
You're mighty welcome partner!
I’ve been to both the North and South Rim and in all honesty, both are spectacular views. If you want to avoid massive crowds, the North Rim is the obvious choice. In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with either option.
You're spot-on, partner! Both rims offer jaw-droppin' vistas, but if you fancy a quieter experience and dodge them bustling crowds, the North Rim's got that serene charm. Can't go wrong either way-just depends on the adventure you're lookin' for!
Entertaining video. Beautiful shots. Thank you for sharing. subd & 👍4
Much obliged, partner! Glad you found the video entertaining and enjoyed the stunning shots. Thanks for subbin' and givin' us a thumbs up! Stay tuned for more tales from the canyon.
