Not the f150 The whole f series line Ford lies If GM combined the GMC Sierra and Chevy Silverado sales, they’d be on top
Gmc and chevy are different brands under one mother company. Where’s fseries is one line of vehicles under one brand for 5 decades.
@@AutoRebels Both the Sierra and Silverado are the same truck under different badges, both owned by GM. If you combine their sales-like you should-GM easily has the best-selling truck. Ford just plays the numbers game by lumping the entire F-Series together. Nice try, though.
@ because both sierra and Silverado are under different Brands and they have few differences like price , weight and few alterations in models. And moreover they are sold under different name. Whereas whole f series is sold under one brand and with F series name(yes they have different models but all under fseries name) But still i get your point that chevy and gmc are sister companies so their sale numbers should be taken as combined. Soon we will video on ford and GM rivalry that will be a interesting one
@ and who owns GMC and Chevy? General Motors (Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra): • Q2 2024: • Chevrolet Silverado: 148,916 units • GMC Sierra: 80,188 units • Total GM Full-Size Trucks: 234,229 units • Q3 2024: • Chevrolet Silverado: 129,302 units • GMC Sierra: 80,226 units • Total GM Full-Size Trucks: 211,910 units Ford F-Series: • Q2 2024: • Total F-Series Sales: 191,561 units • Q3 2024: • Total F-Series Sales: 191,267 units Year-to-Date (YTD) Comparison (as of Q3 2024): • GM Full-Size Trucks: • YTD 2024: 434,481 units (Q2) + 211,910 units (Q3) = 646,391 units • Ford F-Series: • YTD 2024: 336,761 units (Q2) + 191,267 units (Q3) = 528,028 units
Someone will always have negative comments or just plain mean, you think copies or wannabes like Toyota are better but it's just a lot of promoting the brand😞
It became the best selling truck because of the quality ford uses, requires a new truck purchase at a 3:1 ratio with Chevy.
At one time they were affordable and reliable, from what I've seen, now they are neither. The last new F150 I bought was an 87, it was simple and it was reliable. It was a great truck, I won't buy one today. Too many points of failure.
Thanks for sharing
Yup number one for 46 years. 775,000 sold 2023 with only 550,000 Chevys sold and 294,000 GMC. Wait isn’t Chevy and gmc made by General Motors? Hmm…
Only difference on those 2 is the trim
Because they are cheap.

Pontiac Motor Division died in 1982.
In 2008 general motors decided to end Pontiac to cut costs. Yes the independent company ended long ago. But last Pontiac was manufactured in 2010 under GM
General Motors officially announced plans to discontinue Pontiac on April 27, 2009 amid its restructuring and subsequent government-assisted bankruptcy proceedings. The automaker announced that it will focus on four core brands in North America, including Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC. And General Motors (GM) discontinued the Oldsmobile brand in 2004, phasing out the line due to declining sales and a need to restructure the company; the last Oldsmobile rolled off the assembly line in April of that year marking the end of the brand after over a century of production.
Pontiac was dead way before that. Thanks to China Buick was saved.
For a second, it looked like Pepsi had a car company
😂😂
Saturn, Mercury, Oldsmobile.
More brands coming soon in part -2 &3
the last big independent.....American Motors Corp......#1
👍
AMC, Plymouth
we will make at least couple of more similar videos to cover other dead brands like amc, plymouth, mercury, saturn, eagle ...etc...
i use to own Pontiac Montana. it was amazing with doors closing with buttons and dvd player with screen

Even so the world is heading to become all EVs in the furture. America and Europe are continuously whinging about Chinese Government subsides and encouragement of EV development and sales which have been so successful in helping that huge problem of carbon emissions from ICE cars. Why doesn't America subsidise and encourage EV development and become good world citizens, perhaps reduce some of those 700 military bases world wide could finance the idea. I have just remembered Mr Trump and many Americans do not understand and accept the science of carbon emissions and their effect on the ozone layer and how catastrophic it would be for the planet as average global temperatures increase etc. Fortunately by far the majority of countries ( over 120 or so )accept global warming, signed up to the Paris agreement and have set targets to reduce carbon emissions to zero by certain dates. ICE cars sales are down, VW closed 3 factories, Nissen, Jeep etc likely to go bankrupt due to low sales. Clean clear air with no noise from ICE cars as high tech Chinese low priced incredible value EV sales are increasing at an astronomical rate in South America, Mexico, Asia and African markets. Heavily polluted cities like Jakarta Mexico City Sao Paulo etc etc are being transformed as EV sales increase. Come on America, lets have a bit of competition, you could equal the price and quality and produce EVs equal or better than the excellent Chinese high tech EVs if you invest in the industry and set your mind to do so. China is the undisputed biggest car manufacturer on the planet with sales growing ex ponentially and EVs improving continuously. Overall the world loves them.
Thanks for such a detailed comment. I agree that america should try to compete instead of putting tariffs on Chinese evs

1:50 that's wrong. Steam cars are at its peak, gasoline cars were at its beginning because those getting cheaper as electric cars. Eclectic cars at this time were significant cheaper as steam cars but yes the rage was pretty limited and charging didn't took very long. I mean yeah 10 to 20h sure but the capacity was also pretty low. Maybe 10kwh or so. This was enough for 30 to 50km and more than enough range for most people, even today. about charging time. i have a Renault zoe r240 from 2013. it has a 22kwh battery and is realistic able to reach 180km to 200km with this capacity. i have a 11kw AC charger. if i am charging somewhere it needs about 1h and 40min to charge up fully. yeah this is a long time sure, but i do this maybe 4 times a year. normally i charge at home and this with 2kw with my 230v European outlet, it doesn't really matter if it's slow. i do this only every 4 days and then this happens overnight when I am asleep. i can even charge at work over a 230v AC outlet. i mean, i dont care if this takes 10h. i am 11h at work. so i dont care. its free at work for me and at home its 3 times cheaper as public charging. i dont even need to think about charging, i do this when i come home or i reach work. Plug in and forget it. If i am visit friends, I charge there. for me personally, i don't need high range. i travel daily 20km total.
Yes it is expensive to set up charging stations the Biden administration set up only seven and it cost them billions of dollars. Or was it corruption that got to the money who knows anymore
I don’t know long it will take those seven chargers to cover up the money spent on them. May be few 100 years😂😂
Still a joke - a sick one!!!
Damn 8 hours just to charge a car, you may as well take the bus. Eight hours is already equal to one work shift.
Now i understand why Rolls-Royce is so perfect. its in their DNA
Sir Royce was a Perfectionist

EV car don't pay road TAXS
Its just to promote them. all taxes will be applied once they are only option available
in my state, there is an extra $200 added to yearly car tags to ev's to make up for it
Pete Buttplug is on it! They've built 8 charging stations for $8 billion! This is b.s.!
😂😂😂 They took corruption to whole new level
Ev's are not everywhere. There in yuppie towns, thats it
Hi! Usman here I am an expert video editor with more than 5 years of experience so I'm interested to work with you so please send me your email or other platform where we can talk. thank you
still a long way for self driving especially in countries like India
💯
This is ancient news, long since fixed by a free over the air update.
Thing getting better. My chevy bolt should be able to charge on Tesla charger.
yes lot of improvements are already made and lot more needed if they want to replace gas vehicles
The Tesla supercharger will have your Bolt's remaining battery longevity.
There is nothing cleaner, smarter, about ev's Edit: My comments keep getting deleted, so let's see if this works. To our excitable European friends, I was referring to the U.S. I don't know what the infrastructure is like there. I imagine with the smaller countries range anxiety may not be as big of a problem. Here in the U.S. we like to go on road trips. With an ev it's not practical. I've seen statistics showing evs catch fire less frequently, but I don't believe them. There are a lot of politics involved with the ev push, and a lot of ways to deceive. A container ship is destroyed when an ev catches fire and it destroys thousands of ice cars that they can now say caught on fire. Before evs when did you ever hear about a car catching on fire and destroying an entire container ship, twice? Or how about public parking garages that now ban them because they have burned down? When an ev goes up it creates a fire 3x hotter than that of a ice car, and it goes up like a roman candle. It takes extraordinary measures to put it out, and may reignite months later. @garywozniak7742 Oregon is pretty liberal. It doesn't surprise me more people have them there. They probably use them to drive around Portland and charge them outside in a fire safe location. Edit: check it out ua-cam.com/video/AHF2BPZe5Ic/v-deo.htmlsi=jtPKECG8t7PeAZYT
The U.S. Department of Energy said that the carbon footprint of all U.S. electrical power sources combined has dropped to ~0.86 lbs-CO2/kWh. To compare an EV with a comparable gasoline powered equivilent we could compare a Tesla Model 3 that uses ~0.24kWh/mile of power (the last model year uses even less). The Model 3's gasoline powered equivilent is considered to be the BMW Series 3 that gets 30mpg. Burning one gallon of gasoline produces 20lbs of CO2. So the BMW will produce 20 lbs-CO2 over 30 miles or 30.3 tons-CO2 over 100k miles. The Tesla Model 3 will "produce" 30 mi × 0.24kWh/mi × 0.86 lbs-CO2/kWh = 6.19 lbs-CO2 over 30 miles or 10.32 tons-CO2 over 100k miles. So even with the added carbon footprint required to produce the lithium-ion battery for an EV. it will have a lower carbon footprint over its life than a gasoline powered equivilent. Some Tesla's are making it 200,000 to 300,000 miles, for even more carbon savings well after the carbon footprint of the battery has been "paid back". At 200k miles the Model 3, with the current grid, would priduce about 40 fewer tons-CO2 at the power plant than it's gasoline powered equivilent does at the tailpipe. Am MiT study on the carbon footprint of producing an 80 kWh Tesla battery had a range depending on the power sources used to mine and process the lithium but the average is 6.75 tons-CO2 for an 80 kWh battery. The Model 3 SR's battery is only 57.5 kW but for tje discussion lets say 80 kWh and 7 tons-CO2 to manufacture it. 0ver 200k miles, the Tesla would produce about 33.3 tons les CO2 then it's gasoline powered equivilent. The U.K.'s grid is even cleaner at ~0.34 lbs-CO2/kWh.
@garywozniak7742 There is also the practical side of owning an ev. If the battery case gets so much as a knick, it needs to be replaced. The grid would have to be expanded something like 6 fold, and of course there's the infrastructure problem, not to mention evs catch fire sometimes for no apparent reason and take extraordinary measures to finally extinguish.
Said someone who obviously has not driven one at least a few months and so does not know what he is talking about. Look at Europe to see that most of the 'problems' as mentioned in the film are either solved or were no real problems to begin with!
@@RayT70 Not true at either point. Hard figures over here in Europe show that if all cars would be electric, the existing grids could easily handle charging them daily well within 5% of existing capacity, much less than the normal variability in demand by industry and domestic use. So no extra capacity is needed, just some adjustment of high voltage transportation lines because of placement of charging stations along interstate roads and some building of power reduction stations. Use of more large batteries will even reduce that demand in practice and reduce the need for larger capacity high voltage lines! And the fire hazard? Fire data shows that EV's burn less than 1/10 of ICE cars and almost less than 1/100 of the hybrid monsters. No speculation, just hard and proven facts . . . .😊
@RayT70 I see EV's everywhere here in Oregon. There are several in the parking lot at my condo and I"ve talked with the owners on occasion I see EV's up at charging station in the shopping plaza up the street from ne and have spoken with owners who are plugging in as I walk by. All of them seem to like their RV's and I've never seen a fire. The likelyhood of dinging a battery case is about as likely as ripping a hole in the oil or transmission pan of an ICE car.
at the end of the day it still creates pollution: Lithium and drawing power from power stations... Nikola Tesla... Russias trojan horse..
Yes, but it creates less.
Not necessarily. Besides the fact that there are hundreds of other materials mined besides lithium to worry about, I have an F150 Lightning that is charged exclusively by the solar panels on my house. (Yeah, yeah, right - pollution to manufacture, but that is the case with EVERYTHING, including that PC you're using right now). And granted, they are of no use on a long trip, but that's where a PHEV comes into play. That's the future. Take it from me - the guy who coyly told many a person in the '80s "Don't worry, you'll have one soon enough" when they asked me why I needed a computer at home to "balance my checkbook". (I think Tesla was Croatian or something like that besides Russian, no?)
Totally get what you mean! It’s wild how all this tech can help us, but at what cost, right? Let’s just say, it’s a bit of a mixed bag!
I only trust myself to drive a vehicle.
me too

Back in the early 1900’s electric cars were tried and found not to be more viable than petroleum powered vehicles. Lack of an electric grid infrastructure that could cope with charging them, relatively short range compared to petrol, and higher cost to produce electricity had them fade away over 100 years ago.
