I got the E93 N54 and also want to take the Nurburgring on, but I’m afraid of the cars weight to break out in curves. Do you have any tips for me ? My car is stock and has the sport suspension.

Hi Tom, thanks for the comments. Mine is just an n/a with an exhaust manifold and TRD intake. It’s about 200 hp. The gearbox is fine up to 260bhp but people tend to get issues with power higher than that. Mine has different ratios and final drive in to make it shorter. Will also make it stronger as they are updated but not really needed on my car. Hope that helps

No Phil, a close ratio set and a different final drive. Geared to 138mph vs 205mph stock

Hi there. It’s an 8 inch diameter back box. The Cat is the HJS one supplied by 2ubular and on their website. The noise is about 96-98db static I think. I have never not been allowed on any track with it. The header makes a huge difference to performance. My car is also mapped which helps a little

@@aleksandardamcevski4126 it’s nice and quiet driving around. Gets louder under load, so if you are at a steady speed on the highway you don’t really hear it 👍

FonzeyOnTrack hi Fonzey. Saw your post on Croft, tyre pressures deffo too high. I run 24F 26R after 1 cool down lap. With a bit of extra weight I would go 25 26 for your car. And in the wet 25 cold all round

@@DavidM3Exige Cheers David, I'll try some lower pressures this weekend at Blyton (not today!) and see how I get on. Car felt pretty good at Croft, made me not want to mess with it but Blyton is a bit more of a 'try stuff out' track for me.

David Hanna I am also running zzr's. I will have a play with the pressures as my car looks to be a bit looser on acceleration in the damp...Most likely me just not being smooth enough though ha!

Last time I went was 2009 on a zx6r so it was the first time in a car. Your lap was way smoother than mine and you must make up a second on the braking point at the end of park straight and another around chris curve.

Thanks David, Avon ZZR, Pagid RS42 and this was my first trackday out on some Gaz Mono dampers. Car has had a full suspension refresh over winter so this was my "make sure it all doesn't fall off" day! I wasn't timing (trackday :P ) but from reviewing my footage, I'd say 1.50 is around the ballpark... a mile away from your pace, but that's obvious just comparing the clips.

FonzeyOnTrack that makes sense, looks well set up and a nice car. I have had mine for 7 years and done lots and lots of track days in it. Had lots of tuition over the years too, best thing you can spend your money on by far!

Thanks David, I'll keep at it but you've given me something to aim at! How do you approach tyre pressures on trackdays? I seem to struggle when lowering them down as many people recommend so normally end up with slightly higher pressures than most.

FonzeyOnTrack I go to 24/25 hot at the front and 26/27 hot at the rear. PSI that is. You're supposed to run them higher but doesn't work for me
