as someone from vancouver canada who goes to whistler regularly not only did i have any idea that this happened, but also the fact that the drive down from whistler is about 2 hours and the closest hospital from whistler is in squamish, and unfortunately the drive to that hospital once you make it down the mountain it will take an extra 2-3 hours due to british columbias challenging geology.
